In researching one's family history, a knowledge of a county's or a town's history can often be of value in determining what resources are available as well as what may have caused a family to migrate elsewhere. Many of the books listed in this bibliography can be found at libraries throughout Westchester County. If you are not located near a library in Westchester County, ask at your local library if they can borrow a copy of a book through the Inter-Library Loan system. Additionally, there are many library catalogs which can be searched on the Internet, including the Westchester Library System.
