Chadeaynes

The Chadeaynes were French Huguenots who fled persecution in LaRochelle and, eventually, founded New Rochelle. David Chadeayne built a farm in Yorktown in 1755 on the first plot of land sold outside the Van Cortlandt family. It's at the corner of Chadeayne Road and Pines Bridge Road.
