TIGS "Irish Act of Kindness" Look-ups

A number of volunteers have agreed to do look-ups from sources they own, subscribe to or have access to. Over 70 resources are now currently available for this TIGS look-up service covering:

Church Records
Cemetery Records
Immigration Records
City Directories
Irish Resources
School Records
Local History
Miscellaneous
Other

 LOOK-UP REQUESTS:

1. Please do not overwhelm the volunteers with requests.  Only two surnames per each request.

2. Please be specific in your request as to first name and surname.  It will help if you add any details you know that may narrow down the search.  Many of these records are large and, in some cases, there will be numerous entries for the same name.  As an example, the marriage records for St. Mary's Church, Troy are in 4 large volumes, so it will help if you add any other details to narrow down the name you are interested in.

3. Please don't go on a fishing expedition with your request.  You should have some concrete rationale for thinking you may find your ancestor in the source being requested.

4. And also, please be patient in waiting for a reply from the volunteer.

If YOU have a reference source available and YOU are willing to do lookups, please contact Kris Ayotte . Finally, on behalf of all TIGS members, I want to sincerely thank the volunteers for agreeing to partake in this project.
