Hi, My name is Cindy Douglas and I am researching the following surnames in Sullivan Co. NY. PINTLER,NORTON,HANLEY
Francis A. Pintler (don), 9321 Duffield rd., Moxee, wa. 98936
Have desperately been looking for the parents of Augustus T. Pintler. He was in the MN census of 1860 along with his brother Charlie. My father Francis E. Pintler did extensive work on the family tree and has been to Bethel, N.Y. . and has been to the Pintler family plot near there. I have been unable to locate the town of Bethel on any map that I have so hope it falls in this county. The Anaconda-Pintler wilderness in Montana is named after Charlie. The brothers came out to Dayton area of Washington via covered wagon. They then took a herd of green broke wild horses back to montana and sold them to the Army. My Father, Francis E. Pintler, Passed away 18 years ago. I am now retired and also taking up the hunt. Many people have looked for the parents of Charlie and Augustus but have not been able to locate them. We think that they came from the Bethel area or Sparta MI. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm researching the Purcell family who came to the Monticello area from Ireland in the 1850's. The matriarch was Margaret and there were eight adult children: Martin, James, Patrick, Anna (married Boland), Margaret (married Carroll), Catherine (married Turner), Elizabeth (married O'Mara) and Sara (married Clavin). Most of this generation stayed near Monticello and are buried in St. Peter's cemetary, Monticello. Martin was my ggrandfather and I'm interested in locating the descendents of his siblings. Many of the next generation settled in New Jersey. I'd be happy to share information with any lost "cousins".
