My g grandfather was Norman Gaston, b 1855, who married Jennie Potter. Norman was the son of John R Gaston, born 1825 +/- who married Sarah Conklin on June 1st, 1852 In Galilee, Wayne Co., PA Their children were: William H b. unknown married Carrie Keesler of Damascus, PA Ezra b. 1858 married, Jennie Slater of Washington DC Hiriam C b. 1863, married Henrietta Leila Potter of Damascus My g grandfather Norman A b. 1855, married Jennie Potter John R Gaston (my g g grandfather) was killed in the Civil War on May 10th, 1864 in the Battle of the Wilderness. My grandmother, Mary Gaston, had a brother John b.1884, but little is know about him. He emigrated "west" at an early age. It appears, from the information `I have gathered, he may be a descendent of John Gaston of County Antrim, Ireland . Hugh Gaston and his siblings came to the Us around 1710.
