David Lewis emmigrated to America in May 1857.

David H. Lewis was born 28 November 1835 in Llangygwydd, Cardiganshire County,
Wales the son of Thomas and Martha (Evans) Lewis he was baptised 1 January 1836 at
the Trewen Independant Chapel, Brongwyn, Cardiganshire County, Wales.  He married
Sarah J.  ? in 1863 at Dekalb, New York.

Sarah J. ? was born 1838 in New York State.

They had at least 2 children.

Martha born 1864 at Dekalb, New York.

Cora M. born 1867 at Dekalb, New York
