Margaret Davies arrived to America in the June or July 1852.
Sarah Davies and her children arrived to America in the summer of 1856.
Before leaving for America David and his family lived at the dwelling
"Cefnllaethdre" and "Bethgeraint" in Penbryn.
They were members of the Glynarthen Independant Chapel, Penbryn, Cardiganshire
County, Wales before emmigrating to America.
Evan Davies was born about 1808 at Penbryn, Cardiganshire County, Wales. Married
Margaret Evans 18 October 1833 at the Parish Church in Penbryn, Cardiganshire County,
Wales. She died between 1835 and 1838 in Penbryn, Wales. And had one daughter
Margaret. His second wife was Sarah Jones they married in 1838. He died 26
December 1856 at Dekalb, New York and is buried in the Wayside Cemetery, Richville,
New York.
Margaret was born 1835 at Penbryn. Died before 1870.
Sarah Jones was born 15 April 1817 at Llanarth, Cardiganshire County, Wales. She
died 24 March 1892,at Utica, New York and is buried in the Wayside Cemetery.
They had a total of Seven children four growing to adulthood.
Hannah (listed as a welsh pioneer) was born 3 October 1839 at Penbyn.
She was baptised 10 November 1839 at the Glynarthen Independant Chapel in Penbryn,
Cardiganshire County, Wales. Married Henry Jones(listed as a welsh pioneer)on
February 1870. Hannah died 13 April 1923 at Dekalb and is buried in the
Wayside Cemetery.
Evan E. was born 14 November 1841 at Penbryn and baptised 18 December 1841
at the Glynarthen Independant Chapel. Married Margaret Jones 19 December 1869 at
Gouverneur, New York. He died before 1892.
David E. (listed as a welsh pioneer)was born 9 December 1843 at Penbryn and
baptised Jan 1844 at the Glynarthen Independant Chapel.
He married Sarah Jones (listed as a welsh pioneer) in 1867. He died 3 June 1936
at Gouverneur and is buried in the Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur, New York.
Simon was born 1846 at Penbyrn. Died before 1870.
John was born 11 June 1848 at Penbryn and baptised 3 September 1848 at the
Glynarthen Independant Chapel. He died before 1892.
Samuel was born 26 March 1851 at Penbryn and baptised 27 June 1851 at the
Glynarthen Independant Chapel. Married Mary E. Swartout 27 June 1882 at Utica,
New York. He died 24 April 1892 at Utica, New York
Mary A. was born 1857 in Dekalb. She died 22 March 1893 at Utica, New York and
is buried in the Wayside Cemetery.
