Mary Jones Ethridge
Mary was born 25 November 1829 at Troedyraur, Cardiganshire County, Wales the
daughter of David and Achsah Thomas (listed as a welsh pioneer) she was baptised
17 January 1830 at the Trewen Independant Chapel, Brongwyn, Cardiganshire County,
Wales. She married Ellis Ethridge in 1857 at Hermon, New York. She died 1 January
1904 at Dekalb, New York and was buried in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Richville,
New York.
Ellis Ethridge was born September 1827 in England the son of Benjamin and Mary
(Self) Ethridge. He died in 1910 and is buried in the Maple Grove Cemetery,
Richville, New York.
They had 7 children, all grew to adulthood.
David B. was born 26 July 1857 at Hermon, New York. Married Sarah Hardy November
1876. He died 27 June 1942 at Gouverneur, New York and was buried 30 June 1942 at
the Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur, New York.
Mary Jane was born 1859 at Hermon, New York. Married Norris Samuel Gillett
4 September 1879 at Dekalb, New York. She died 24 September 1892 at Edwards,
New York and was buried 26 September 1892 in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Richville,
New York.
Axa was born 1862 at Hermon, New York. Married William Hardy in 1880.
She died before 1889.
Sarah A. was born 1863 at Hermon, New York. Married Robert J. Roulston 19 June 1883
at Dekalb, New York. She died 18 June 1891 at Gouverneur, New York and was buried
in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Richville, New York.
Ellis H. was born 1865 at Hermon, New York. Married Mary Roulston 15 July 1885 at
Gouverneur, New York. He died 23 April 1930 at Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and is
buried in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Sally L. was born 17 February 1868 at Dekalb, New York. She married David H.
Roulston in 1886. She died 3 July 1942 at Dekalb, New York and was buried
5 July 1942 at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Richville, New York.
John F. was born 22 April 1870 at Dekalb, New York. He married Sarah J. Jones
31 August 1893. He died 24 January 1953 at Gouverneur, New York and was buried
26 January 1953 at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Richville, New York.
