January 1 - Sunday - Drove Spark and Jen to church in am. Harry came in pm. Father and Mother were in Elmira.
January 2 - Monday - Emma and Harry were here. Lon and Harry went hunting. Lon and I went to Sunday School banquet.
January 3 - Tuesday - Harry and Lon went hunting. I washed. Father and Mother came in pm. Lon took me down to Bessie's at night.
January 4- Wednesday - I worked in broom factory all day in Grace Haley's place. Lon drew potatoes.
January 5 - Thursday - I worked in broom factory all day. Lon drew potatoes.
January 6 - Friday - I worked in broom factory all day. Lon drew potatoes.
January 7 - Saturday - I worked in broom factory in am. Lon cut corn stalks. Lon and I went to Hornell in pm. Art and Lillian came.
January 8 - Sunday - Were home all day. Took Art and Lillian home at night and went on down home. I stayed down to Pearl C. at night.
January 9 - Monday - Worked in broom factory all day. Did my washing at night.
January 10 - Tuesday - Worked in broom factory all day. Did my ironing and Lon and I went to M.E. Church in eve.
January 11 - Wednesday - Worked in broom factory all day . Was a dreadful stormy day. Mabel, Mrs. S. and I went to see Mrs. D. after work.
January 12 - Thursday - Worked in broom factory all day.
January 13 - Friday - Worked in broom factory in am. All the girls were laid off until Monday am. Lon came down with long sleigh in pm and got me.
January 14 - Saturday - Was home all day. The rest went to Avoca in pm. I finished Grace's dress in pm.
January 15 - Sunday - Bert's folks were over. Attempted to drlve car down town and got stuck in snow bank. Lon drove horses and cutter down town.
January 16 - Monday - Worked in broom factory all day. Washed at night.
January 17 - Tuesday - Worked in broom factory all day. Went up to see Mabel B. at night. Lon brought tne car over to Pearl's barn.
January 18 - Wednesday - Worked in broom factory all day. Lon went to house auction. Bought bedroom suite and stove.
January 19 - Thursday - Worked in broom factory all day.
January 20 - Friday - Worked in broom factory all day.
January 21 - Saturday - Didn't work. Washed. Finished Mama's commode scarf. Lon and I drove the Ford down town and stayed all night.
January 22 - Sunday - We were down home. Was a dreadful blizzard. Lon walked home at night..
January 23 - Monday - Worked in broom factory all day. Ironed at night.
January 24 - Tuesday - Worked in broom factory all day.
January 25- Wednesday - - Worked in broom factory all day.

January 29 - Sunday - Lon, Daisy, Leroy and I came down in cutter. Daisy stayed with me until train time.
January 30 - Monday - - Worked in broom factory all day. Made out Sears & Roebuck order at night.
January 31 - Tuesday - - Worked in broom factory all day. Ironed and crocheted at night.
February 1 - Wednesday - Worked until 3:30 pm. Went up to see Mabel. Calf born.
February 2 - Thursday - Worked in broom factory all day. We all went to Wallace with Lon.
February 3- Friday - Worked all day. Lon drove Jen on buggy at night and got me.
February 4 - Saturday - Lon and I went to Hornell to get lumber for table. Went to Fred Mc.'s Art and Lillian came at night.
February 5 - Sunday - We were home all day. Drove the car down. Went down to Mr. Rose's In eve.
February 6 - Monday - Worked in broom factory all day. Lon brought the car down. Washed and wrote Hannah.
February 7 - Tuesday - Worked all day. Mabel was over at night and helped me pull threads.
February 8 - Wednesday - Worked all day. Mabel was over at night. Ironed.

February 11 - Saturday - Worked in am. Went to Hornell in pm. Went to show at night.
February 12 - Sunday - Were over to Fred Mc.'s. Came home in pm. Lon drove the car home.
February 13 - Monday - Worked in broom factory all day. Went to a surprise for Essy? Harris? at night. Bessie slept with me.
February 14 - Tuesday - Worked all day. Went to bed early.
February 15 -Wednesday - Worked all day. Mrs. Thomas fell dead at night. Bessie slept with me.
February 16 - Thursday - Worked all day. Mabel Shaver stayed all night with me.
February 17 - Friday - Worked all day. Mabel Shaver stayed all night with me.
February 18 - Saturday - Worked in am. Went to Mrs. T.'s funeral in pm. Lon went to Merton's Horning.
February 19 - Sunday - Lon and I went down home. Hannah, Floyd, Ada and Wesley were there.
February 20 - Monday - Worked all day. Washed at night.
February 21 - Tuesday - Worked all day. Ada and Grace were down at night.
February 22 - Wednesday - Worked all day. Worked on centerpiece in evening.

February 24 - Friday - Worked all day. Lon drove Jen down at night and got me.
February 25 - Saturday - Did general housework. Worked on centerpiece and made towels.
February 26 - Sunday - Was home all day. Lon drove the car down and we went to church. He walked home.

February 28 - Tuesday - Worked all day. Mabel and I went to Florence's at night. Mabel stayed all night with me.
March 1 - Wednesday - Worked all day. Worked on centerpiece in eve.
March 2 - Thursday - Worked all day. Ironed, mended and wrote Mama at night.
March 3 - Friday - Worked all day. Went over to Smalt's at night.
March 4 - Saturday - Worked in am. We went to Wallace and to see Dr. in pm. Drove the car home after the 6:23 came.
March 5 - Sunday - Art and Lillian and Bert and Jess were home. Lon drove the car down at night and left it.
March 6- Monday - Worked all day. Washed at night.. Had a dreadful cold.
March 7 - Tuesday - Worked all day.
March 8 - Wednesday - Went to work but came back home and went to bed. Lon was down in pm.
March 9 - Thursday - The girls were all laid off. Crocheted on table mat.
March 10 - Friday - Worked all day. Came home at night.
March 11 - Saturday - Did housework in am. Took 1st and 2nd degrees in Grange in pm.
March 12 - Sunday - Went to Bert and Jessie to Atlanta and Wayland. Lon and I drove Kit as far as Avoca.
March 13 - Monday - Worked all day. Washed and crocheted at night.
March 14 - Tuesday - Worked all day. Went to a lecture at M.E. Church in evening.
March 15 -Wednesday - Worked all day. Mabel and I walked up to Ada's and stayed all night.
March 16 - Thursday - Worked until six o'clock. Did my ironing at night.
March 17 - Friday - Packed up, took a bath and swept my room at night.
March 18 - Saturday -Worked in am. Daisy, Leroy and I went to Elmira in pm. Lon and I stayed all night with Floyd and Muzzetta.
March 19 - Sunday - We all went to Cliff's for dinner. Julia was sick. I stayed down home at night.
March 20 - Monday - Oral and I changed the carpets in the bedroom in am. I made soap in pm.
March 21 - Tuesday - I came home. Washed and made curtains for Oral's room and worked on centerpiece.
March 22 -Wednesday - Ironed. Pressed Lon's clothes and made dining room curtains and cleaned sap buckets.
March 23 Thursday - The rest went to Bert's. I finished dining room curtains. Wagner's ware up in eve.
March 24 - Friday - Did general housework in am. Worked at church supper. Rode down with Mrs. Razey.
March 25 - Saturday - Sat.'s work. Clean syrup bottles. Hemmed bedroom curtains. Lon and I went down town at night.
March 26 - Sunday - Wrote Hannah and Emma. We four were home alone all day. Bottled syrup and gathered soap and took a nap in pm.
March 27 - Monday - Finished bedroom curtains. Stormed. Mother canned syrup.
March 28 - Tuesday - We washed and cleaned milkroom. Made commode scarf.
March 29 -Wednesday - Ironed and painted commode. Cleaned dresser drawers and shirt waist boxes.
March 30 - Thursday - Was a dreadful day. Snowed. The rest worked down town. I did a little of everything.
March 31 - Friday - Did general housework.
April 1 - Saturday - Lon and Harry Fox sacked potatoes. I did housework in am. We went down home in pm. Stayed all night.
April 2 - Sunday - We were down home. Oral came home with us.
April 3 - Monday - Lon drew potatoes.. We washed and ironed and melted soap grease.
April 4 - Tuesday - Lon walked down town in am All did. Lon walked home and boiled sap and I made soap. Lon and I boiled sap until 11 o'clock.
April 5 - Wednesday - Cleaned and canned 2 gal syrup. Lon and I boiled sap until nine.
April 6 - Thursday - I churned 15 % lbs. of butter alone and I cleaned and canned 1 gal syrup.
April 7 - Friday - Lon painted the living room. I washed sap buckets and cleaned and settled Oral's room.
April 8 - Saturday - Baked bread. Churned and cleaned and settled our room. Joined Grange.
April 9 - Sunday - We were home all day.
April 10 - Monday - We changed stoves. Took two loads of goods down town. Lon got my furniture from down home.
April 11 - Tuesday - Mr. Jackson papered dining room and part of living room. Lon and I papered until eleven o'clock and finished.
April 12 -Wednesday - I cleaned living room and dining room.
April 13 - Thursday - I washed and cleaned cupboards and washed our set of dishes.
April 14 - Friday - Ironed and settled living room.
April 15 - Saturday - Did general housework. Floyd and Muzzetta were over in am. We went to Bath and got Cliff and Julia at night.
April16 - Sunday - Cliff and Julia went to church in am. We were all to Bert's for dinner. Maggie and Roger were here for lunch and we went to Fay Wessels'.
April 17 - Monday - I washed and washed eggs. Baked ham.
April 18 - Tuesday - I ironed and mended.
April 19 - Wednesday - Canned meat. Baked cookies and raked the lawn.
April 20 - Thursday - Cleaned kitchen ceiling.
April 21 - Friday - Cleaned kitchen.
April 22 - Saturday - Did general housework and cleaned bathroom. Went to Grange.
April 23 - Sunday - Lon and Oral put brake bands in car. Had an early dinner and went down home in pm.
April 24 - Monday - Father was up and sorted potatoes. Went to Stryker's at night.
April 25 - Tuesday - Ironed and they moved their last load of goods. Got our table top at night. (Reader Note: George & Julia Zimmer are retiring and moving to Avoca to live, leaving Lon & Lottie alone in house for first time since their marriage.)
April 26 - Wednesday - Cleaned and painted floors. Went to Fox's at night..
April 27 - Thursday - Painted floors. Etthel and Fred were over.
April 28 - Friday - Painted floors.
April 29 - Saturday - Settled bedroom and sewing room. Went to Wallace at night.
April 30 - Sunday - Went to church in am. After trailing arbutus to Ellis Mills. Wesley and Mr Neil in pm. To church at night.
May 1 - Monday - Washed, cleaned clothes room. Sowed sweet peas. Took up matting in hall.. Went to Bert's at night.
May 2 - Tuesday - Cleaned brooders. Took up hall carpet. Took up carpet over kitchen. Went to Stevens'.
May 3 - Wednesday - Cleaned up over kitchen and little room and hemmed matting. Maggie and Roger were over. Sowed first oats.
May 4 - Thursday - Read chicken book. Wrote Mama and Emma and ironed and mended.
May 5 - Friday - Cleaned both halls, baked bread. Lon went fishing. I stayed with Jessie.
May 6 - Saturday - Put down hall carpet and did Saturday work Went to a party for Ray Armstrong at night.
May 7 - Sunday - Oral stayed at home. Lon and I went to Will Fox's. Caught 59 fish. Had a finetime.
May 8 - Monday - Washed, painted kitchen floor. Went down town at night.
May 9 - Tuesday - Painted kitchen floor in am. Worked in broom factory in pm. Mabel came home with me.
May 10 - Wednesday - Ironed and baked bread in am. Washed windows on outside in pm. Went to Polmateer's at night.
May 11 - Thursday - Watched brooder lamps. Set out pansies. Picked dandelions. Washed eggs and went to church at night.
May 12 - Friday - Did general Fri. work. Helped down cellar.
May 13 - Saturday - Belle called. General housework and cleaned woodshed. Went up to Wallace at night.
May 14 - Sunday - Papa, Mama, A. Sophia and Lawrence and George were up. Went to Polmateer's at night. Got an eel.
May 15 - Monday - Washed, made pie, washed eggs, made wine and ironed.
May 16 - Tuesday - Cut potatoes all day. Made ice cream and went to Will fox's at night.
May 17 - Wednesday - Cut potatoes all day. Lon went to Grange Hall to practice at night.
May 18 - Thursday - Cut potatoes all day. Went to bed early.
May 19 - Friday - Cut potatoes, bottled wine. Went to Bath in pm and to Stevens at night.
May 20 - Saturday - Chickens came. Did general housework. Went to Grange at night
May 21 - Sunday - Father and Mother were up for dinner. Went to Ray Conklin's at night.
May 22 - Monday - Washed, cut potatoes, and washed eggs, made garden. Lon and Oral went down town.
May 23 - Tuesday - Cut potatoes all day. Took eggs down home at night to set.
May 24- Wednesday - Cleaned brooders and mowed lawn. Father was up and planted potatoes.
May 25 - Thursday - Ironed, pressed Oral and Lon's clothes. Made wine. Belle and Will were over.
May 26 - Friday - Did general housework, mended. Stryker's were over at night.
May 27 - Saturday - Did general housework. Clair, Joe and sister came.
May 28 - Sunday - Went to Watkins and Elmira with Clair.
May 29 - Monday - Clair and the girls left for Elmira in pm. I cut potatoes. Lon and Oral went down town.
May 30 -Tuesday - Lon and Oral went to ballgame in am. I washed. All went down town in pm.
May 31 - Wednesday - Cut potatoes in am and 2 bu. in pm. Went to Maggie's and got down town at night.
June 1 - Thursday - Ironed in am. Cut potatoes in pm. Went to concert at night.
June 2 - Friday - Finished cutting and planting and made cookies and cake and ironed.
June 3 - Saturday - Did general housework in am. Worked in garden in pm. Went to Bath with Will Fox's at night.
June 4 - Sunday - Alice, Henry and L, p1?, Hannah, Oral, Lon and I went down home. Bessie, Pearl, Maggie, Roger and Dr. Robe (or Royal or Rozle?) were here.
June 5 - Monday - Washed in the am. Wrote Hannah, Emma and Alice. Went down town at night. Got 150? lbs. Of sugar.
June 6 - Tuesday - Canned pineapple. Made rhubarb wine and Ada and Wesley were over at night.. Left Grace.
June 7 - Wednesday - Ironed, washed eggs, cleaned brooder, mixed bread, went after mail.
June 8 - Thursday - Baked bread, cookies. Baked beans, washed windows and lamps and mended. Went to concert at night.
June 9 - Friday - Lon, Grace and I went down home. Lon dropped potatoes. Steve came in evening.
June10 - Saturday - Did general housework. Went down town at night. Grace went home.
June 11 - Sunday - Father, Mother, Bert and Jessie were here. Went up to Atlanta to see the cyclone ruins.
June 12 - Monday - Washed, washed eggs, made wine, weed in garden. Stayed home at night.
June 13-Tuesday - Lon and Oral planted potatoes at Bert's. I ironed, cut out gingham and voile dresses. Went to Clark Wright's. Made ice cream.
June 1 4- Wednesday - White-washed chicken house. Mended, sewed on gingham dress, little chicks came.
June 15 - Thursday - Did general housework. Wrote Hannah and Julia. Sewed, went to band concert.
June 16 - Friday - Finished gingham dress. Went down home atter chickens at night. Got 32.
June 17 - Saturday - Had two hard storms. Went to Grange at night. Oral stayed down town.
June 18 - Sunday - Went over by Stevens' sightseeing in am. Went down town in pm. Bridge was out. Had to go around by W. Creek.
June 19 - Monday - Washed, baked bread, cleaned storm mud out of cellar, worked in garden.
June 20 - Tuesday - Ironed. Will Fox came over in eve. We went to band concert at Wallace.
June 21 - Wednesday - Belle and Will were over. Lon worked on Will's car. Mended some.
June 22 - Thursday - Belle and Will were over. Went down to Bath and on down home.and to and to see storm ruins.
June 23 - Friday - Cleaned well house, brooders. Swept upstairs. Finished green dress.
June 24 - Saturday - Did general housework in am. Washed car in pm. Went down town at night.
June 25 - Sunday - Went to Fox's after dinner. Went to Brown Hill, Uncle Lewis and to Atlanta.
June 26 - Monday - Washed eggs, made cookies, made cake. Belle and Will were over at night and went over to see accident happened.
June 27 - Tuesday - Canned 6 qts of cherries. Went to Bennett's funeral.
June 28 - Wednesday - Mopped, cleaned brooders and ironed. Made pie, went to commencement.
June 29 - Thursday - Canned 9 qts of cherries. Made ice cream for church. Went to concert at night.
June 30 - Friday - Cleaned well house. Baked 6 loaves of bread, cake, made ice cream, canned 3 ots of cherries, mended.
July 1 - Saturday - Did general housework. Went to Grange at night.
July 2 - Sunday - Had an early dinner and went down home in pm.
July 3 - Monday - Washed, made cherry pie, strawberry shortcake, cherry conserve, washed eggs and made soap and pound cake.
July 4 - Tuesday - Ironed, made cake, went to ice cream social at night.
July 5 - Wednesday - Ironed, washed windows, baked bread, mended, cut out Lon's silk shirt.
July 6 - Thursday - Did housework in am. Picked currents down home in pm. Went to concert.
July 7 - Friday - Cleaned milk room, dinning room and swept upstairs. Shelled currents, made jelly, went to Wagner's in pm.
July 8 - Saturday - Canned currents, made conserve, went down town and to Barnes' at night.
July 9 - Sunday - Daisy and Leroy were here. Went for a ride in pm. Went to Will Fo~s at night and got peas.
July 10 - Monday -Washed, churned, washed eggs, shelled peas, drove horse to unload hay.
July 11 - Tuesday - Ironed, drove horses to unload hay. Cleaned brooders.
July 12 - Wednesday - Did general housework. Picked berries and drove horses to unload hay.
July 13 - Thursday - Pulled weeds in garden in am. Mended in pm.
July 14 - Friday - Cleaned lamps, milk room, dinning room, made cookies, drove horses to unload hay, sorted chicks at night.
July 15 - Saturday - Drove horses to unload hay. Went down to Grange.
July 16 - Sunday - Pear and Bessie, Emma and Harry were here. Went down to Chase's at night to see Hannah.
July 17 - Monday - Washed, picked peas, berries, made cake, ice cream. Floyd and Muzzetta were over for supper.
July 18 -Tuesday - Churned, washed eggs, made pie, shelled peas, cleaned cellar.
July 19 - Wednesday - Ironed, picked berries, cocked hay. Mother was up. Ada, Wesley and Ella came in evening.
July 20 - Thursday - Baked bread, canned 2 pts of berries, worked butter, drove horses to unload hay. Went to concert.

July 23 - Sunday - We were down to F.F.'s for dinner. Cliff, Julia and friends came up home with us.

July 30 - Sunday - Sarah and Kenneth Bowen, Aunt Edna, Ted, Belle and Will and Clara Clark and Charles E. came. Went down home at night.
July 31 - Monday - Washed, picked berries, beans, cucumbers, peas, churned, cleaned hen house, went to Bert's.
August 1 - Tuesday - Aunt Edna, Ted and Kenneth came to have Lon fix the car. Made cream and went to Will Fox's at night.

August 4 - Friday - Did housework. Canned beans. Went over to Wright's twice. Took back Aunt Edna and Ted over to Ada's and went to Chautauqua.

August 6 - Sunday - Went down home for dinner. Went to bed early at night.
August 7 - Monday - Washed. Went to Chautauqua at night.

August 9 - Wednesday - Ironed, picked cucumbers, pulled weeds in garden, went to Chautauqua.
August 10 - Thursday - Finished ironing. Mended. Went to Chautauqua. Rear axle broke.
August 11 - Friday - Will was going to fix car. Belle came. Baked bread, cookies, cleaned milkroom. Went to Bath in pm.
August 12 - Saturday - Belle and Will were over. Belle and I called on Maggie in pm. Went to Grange at night.
August 13 - Sunday - Went to fire from I am to 4 am. Went down to Father Z. in pm. The Schwingel's were there.
August 14 - Monday - Washed, packed cucumbers, cleaned brooders, drove horses to unload oats.
August 15- Tuesday - Washed windows inside and out. Cleaned front bedrooms. Drove horses to unload oats.
August 16 -Wednesday - Drove horses to unload oats. Finished ironing. Oral went home at night.
August 17 - Thursday - Did general housework. Went to concert. Drove car for first time after painting.
August 18 - Friday - Cleaned cellar, brooders, porch, milkroom.
August 19 - Saturday - Did general housework. Started for Coudersport at 3:45 F.M. & L. and I.
August 20 - Sunday - Clair, Josephine, Lon and I went to Rock City.
August 21 - Monday - We were to Mabel's for dinner. Started home at 3:10. Arrived home all okat 7:20.
August 22 - Tuesday - Washed, went to Wallace concert at night.
August 23 - Wednesday - Canned peaches, ironed, canned pickles.
August 24 - Thursday - Baked bread , made jelly, canned peaches, pulled weeds in garden. Went to concert.
August 25 - Friday - Cleaned milkroom, brooders. Canned peaches, mended.
August 26 - Saturday - Did general housework. Went down town at night.
August 27 - Sunday - Went down home. Cliff and Julia and friends were up. Harris's family came in.
August 28 - Monday - Washed, picked cucumbers, tomatoes, corn. Went to Ada's in pm and picked blackberries.
August 29 - Tuesday - Washed eggs, canned corn, pickles, berries, dried corn, churned, ironed some.
August 30 - Wednesday - Mad apron, ironed, baked cake and bread.
August 31 - Thursday - Washed windows, lamps, cleaned milkroom, brooders. Went to concert.
September 1 - Friday - Swept, dusted and made chilli sauce. Had a hard cold.
September 2 - Saturday - Did general housework. Made pillow cases.
September 3 - Sunday - Uncle Lewis and Aunt Julia came for dinner. We went down home at night.
September 4- Monday - Washed, made catsup, washed eggs, churned.
September 5 - Tuesday - Ironed and mended.
September 6 - Wednesday - Washed 200 cucumbers, baked bread, pie and cake and cookies. Papa and Mama came.
September 7 - Thursday - We all went to Naples Fair and to concert at night.
September 8 - Friday - Papa and Mama were here. We went to church and wiener roast at night.
September 9 - Saturday - Did general housework. Went down town at night.
September 10 - Sunday - Belle and Will and Lon and I went to Elmira.
September 11 - Monday - J.C. was here for dinner and for supper. Churned, made pie, canned 11 qts peaches, 25 qts tomatoes.
September 12 - Tuesday - Washed, made pie and bread, worked butter, washed eggs, picked corn, tomatoes, cucumbers.
September 13 -Wednesday - Dried corn and corn and then some. Canned 4 qts of peaches, 8 qts of prunes and made a peach pie.
September 14 -Thursday - Canned 15 qts of tomatoes, mopped, ironed and went to church.
September 15 - Friday - Washed windows, cleaned milkroom, brooders, made pickles, finished ironing. Went to Stevens'.
September 16 - Saturday - Baked pies, cake, bread, cookies, pickled pears. Went to church at night.
September 17 - Sunday - Went to church in am. Father and Mother and Mrs. Warren were here for dinner. Conklins called. Went to church at night.
September 18 - Monday - Washed, churned, pickled pears. Went to Wright's at night.

September 27 - Saturday - Had thrashers for dinner and supper. Mother Z was up. We went down town at night.
September 28 - Sunday - Lon and I went to church in am and up to Will fox's for dinner. Went to bed early at night.
September 29 - Monday - Cooked pumpkin, made pie crust, washed towels and handkerchiefs. Oral helped me wash case of eggs. Baked cake, churned and worked butter, mixed bread. Rained hard all day.
September 30 - Tuesday - Did general housework in am. Got things ready for thrashers' supper at night. Went to Fred Mc's funeral in pm.
October 1 - Wednesday - Had thrashers for dinner. Did large washing in pm, ironed some in evening.
October 2 - Thursday - Mopped kitchen, dinning room, living room, woodshed and milkroom, cleaned
October 3 - Friday - Churned, canned 8 qts, did large ironing, baked cookies, cake, picked tomatoes and cucumbers.
October 4- Saturday - Did baking and cleaning, canned beets and 3 qts tomatoes. Went down town at night.;
October 5 - Sunday - Lon, Papa and I went to Elmira to hear Billy Sunday. Stopped down to Momma's for supper.
October 6- Monday - Washed, ironed, made cake, made towels, mended some. Father Z here for dinner and supper.
October 7 - Tuesday - Churned and worked butter, made tomato mince pie, cleaned lamps, baked pie.
October 8 - Wednesday - Picked potatoes all day. Bert and Father Z were here for dinner.
October 9 - Thursday - Picked potatoes all day. Father Z and Bert were here for dinner. Belle and Will came at night. Father Z stayed all night.
October 10 - Friday - Picked potatoes all day. Mrs. Mills, Roxie and Beulah came and stayed until after 11 o'clock.
October 11 - Saturday - Picked 72 bu of potatoes. Baked chocolate pie, 8 loaves of bread. Mr. Morgan was here for dinner. Went down town at night
October 12 - Sunday - Did some work in am. Went to Uncle Lewis's in pm.
October 13 - Monday - Hannah and Floyd were here for supper. Mr. & Mrs. Razey and Papa and Momma while we were out.
October 14 - Tuesday - Picked potatoes all day. Lon and 1 washed case of eggs at night.
October 15 - Wednesday - Picked potatoes all day, cleaned lamps and canned 4 qts of prunes at night.
October 16 - Thursday Picked potatoes all day. Lon, Oral and I went to the mill with truck at night.
October 17 - Friday - Father and Mother Z, Nellie and Charlie called. Picked potatoes all day. Baked cake and canned prunes at night.
October 18 - Saturday - Picked potatoes all day. We washed at night.
October 19 - Sunday - Did some work in am. Went down home for dinner. Took eggs over to Wesley's at night.
October 20 - Monday - Picked potatoes all day. Canned prunes at night.

October 27 - Monday Finished potatoes at 8:30 am. Did large washing, baked cake, went to reception for Mr. & Mrs. Simmons.
October 28 - Tuesday - Baked bread, pie, roaster meat, had potato sorters for dinner. Cooked peas and quince, canned pickles.
October 29 - Wednesday - Went over to Mills' in am, did large ironing, baked cookies, cleaned lamps, went over to Wallace at night.

November 1 - Saturday - Started for Uncle Adam's at 8:30. Stopped in Hornell. Bought coat. Was to Clair's for supper and all night. Harlow Hall and wife came while we were away.
November 2 - Sunday Cliff came to Coudersport. We were to Clair's for dinner. Left for home at 3:30 pm. Arrived home at 7:20.
November 3 - Monday - Helped gather dahlias, beets and carrots, baked pie, cleaned lamps, washed 8 doz. eggs, gathered cabbage, went to Stryker's and down home at night.
November 4 - Tuesday - Went to vote in am. Baked pies for dinner, cleaned our room and made ginger pears.
November 5 - Wednesday - Cleaned living room, washed 6 prs. curtains, baked pie, brown bread, went to Wallace at night. Washed windows outside.
November 6 - Thursday - Churned, baked bread, blacked stove, enamelled pipe, settled our room, mopped. Bernice and Guy came at night.
November 7 - Friday - Helped mark pullets (43), worked butter, cooked tomatoes for catsup, washed and ironed two prs. of curtains.
November 8 - Saturday - Cleaned milkroom and woodshed and back walk, ironed ruffled curtains, did baking. Cliff and Julia came at night.
November 9- Sunday - Julia and I went to Bath in am. Were to Mr. Z's for dinner. Lon and I were to church at night.
November 10 - Monday - Went to Wallace in pm. Wrote Mrs. Hall, went over to Ada's at night. Church at night.
November 11 - Tuesday - Churned, baked cookies, made catsup, worked butter, cleaned front bedroom.
November 12 - Wednesday - Washed dinning room windows, aired Oral's bedding, cleaned brooder house. Belle and Will came at night.
November 13 - Thursday - Blacked kitchen range, mopped, washed kitchen windows on outside. Lon, Father and I went to Bath in pm. Herman at night. I stayed with May S.
November 14 - Friday - Baked bread, pie and cake, washed kitchen woodwork and windows, ironed curtains for our room and kitchen. Went to Herman Potter's shower at night
November 15 - Saturday - Finished washing kitchen woodwork and cleaned bathroom, swept, dusted, ironed, some mended. Went to Grange at night.
November 16 - Sunday - Lon and I went to church in am. Mother Z and Father Z came home with us. Cliff and Julia were here for dinner and supper. Had a dreadful cold snow storm.
November 17 - Monday - Cleaned silverware, canned ginger pears, 14 qts of cucumbers, cleaned the lamps, cut out apron, helped catch hens.
November 18 - Tuesday - Had potato sackers for dinner. Martha came in pm. Ray came for supper. Lon took them home about 10:30. I worked on apron.
November 19 - Wednesday - Had chicken dinner. Churned. Bertha McNeil was here for dinner and supper. We all went to Steven's concert at night.
November 20 - Thursday - Washed, scrubbed, cleaned cupboards, baked cookies, cake. Ada, Wesley, Grace and Emma came at night. Emma and Grace stayed.
November 21 - Friday - Had potato sackers for dinner. Baked 4 apple pies, 2 for supper at church. Finished apron for sales. Waited table at church. Emma went home.
November 22 - Saturday Went home. Cleaned 3 oil stoves, baked pie, churned, mended, went down town at night. Graca went home.
November 23 - Sunday - Lon and I went to church in am and at night.
November 24- Monday - Mended, knitted, wrote letter and made out orders.
November 25 - Tuesday - Washed, Father Z was here for dinner. Made pie, finished mittens.
November 26 - Wednesday - Did large ironing, made ice cream, baked cake, went to Thanksgiving services.
November 27 - Thursday - Floyd and Muzzetta came in am. We ware down to Mother Z's for dinner. Lawrence and Walter came home with us.

November 29 - Saturday - Churned a long time, baked, swept and dusted. Emma and Harry came at night.
November 30 - Sunday - Lawrence and Walter, Emma, and I went to church in am. L. and W. went home.
December 1 - Monday - Emma and I washed and did some baking and worked butter.
December 2 - Tuesday - Emma and 1 went to Bath with Lon. Came home on bus. We were up home for dInner. I worked at rest room supper. Came home with Roxie.
December 3 - Wednesday - We butchered and cut out Emma's tan blouse and worked some on it.
December 4 - Thursday - Emma and I cut and fried out lard, cut sausage meat, mopped, packed sausage, cooked heads
December 5 - Friday - Made head cheese, baked pie. Emma went home. Oral went home. Swept, dusted, mopped, washed windows, went to Bath in pm.

December 7 - Sunday - Lon and I went to church in am. Hannah and Floyd came for late dinner.

December 9 - Tuesday - Ground meat, baked pie. Bert and Father for dinner. Baked cake. I cleaned lamps, lanterns, worked butter, had bean thrashers for supper.
December 10 - Wednesday - Baked pie, baked cake and made jello to take down home, churned and worked butter. We all went down home at night for Momma and Papa's 40th anniversary.
