January 1 - Saturday - Went to Cohocton to look at some cutters. Had a dandy time.
January 2 - Sunday - Went down to Sunday school. Walked home with Lottie. Then came home. Went down to church at night.
January 3 - Monday - Took a load of wood down to Floyd Clark in am and went over to Charles Forbes to press hay in pm.
January 4 - Tuesday - Pressed hay all day and moved to J. Cole’s.
January 5 - Wednesday - Pressed hay all day.
January 6 - Thursday - Pressed hay all day for J. Shiloh.
January 7 - Friday - Pressed hay all day.
January 8 - Saturday - Pressed hay all day and came to Avoca at night.
January 9 - Sunday - I went down to Sunday school. Stayed down. Went to Mr. Bemdino’s? funeral. Lottie and I went to Kanona for a sleigh ride. Was cold and snowed like the deuce.
January 10 - Monday - Ground feed in am. In pm went down town. Went over to J. Hughes’ to press hay.
January 11 - Tuesday - Pressed hay for J. Hughes all day.
January 12 - Wednesday - Pressed hay for J. Hughes in am. Moved to A. Bullard’s in pm.
January 13 - Thursday - Pressed hay for Bullard in am and moved to Archie Stewart’s.
January 14 - Friday - Pressed for A.S. Stewart in am and moved to James Stewart.
January 15 - Saturday - Pressed hay all day for James Stewart.
January 16 - Sunday - Bert and I went down town for a ride. Fred Bielefeld’s and Uncle Jake’s people were here. Lottie and I went to Pres. Church.
January 17 - Monday - I stayed down to Lottie’s house. Went from there to James Stewart’s to press hay in pm.
January 18 - Tuesday - Pressed hay in am and moved to Norris Sitterly’s in pm. It rained nearly all day.
January 19 - Wednesday - Pressed hay all day to Norris Sittterly’s.
January 20 - Thursday - Pressed hay all day and went to Benn Crackerr’s tin shower in the evening. Had a dandy time.
January 21 - Friday - It rained all day so we did not work. Frank Corbett and I went down to Kanona after some wire.
January 22 - Saturday - The wind blowed so we couldn’t work. So, we came home and sorted potatoes for M. Corbett in pm. Went to F.C.’s party.
January 23 - Sunday - Pa, Cliff, Bert and I went down to Sunday school. I stayed down with L.M. My folks went up to Uncle Lewis and Cliff and I stayed at home.
January 24 - Monday - Cliff and I was here all alone all day. Ground feed and plumbed water. Sidney came down and stayed with Cliff because he was homesick.
January 25 - Tuesday - Cliff and I ground feed in am. Our folks got home at 1 pm. Art and I went down town. Had our horse stolen.
January 26 - Wednesday - Took the horses down to Kanona. Art and I went down to S. and S.H. to see C.R. Lewis K. and Maude was here when we got home.
January 27 - Thursday - Didn’t do anything in am, but in pm we all went down to George Patten’s sale. Came home. Done the chores. It snowed and blowed.
January 28 - Friday - Robert Gay and wife. Chas. Dillenbeck and wife was here. Lewis and Maude went home and I and Lottie went to Bath in evening. Got home 2:20 am.
January 29 - Saturday - Snowed like the deuce. Art and I went down town after Bert. He was sick.
January 30 - Sunday - Went down to Sunday school. Pa, Art and I came home. Then went down to see L.Mc. in evening.
January 31 - Monday - Art and I went over to Norris Sitterly’s to press hay. Pressed in pm.
February 1 - Tuesday - Pressed in am and moved to Avoca. Rode up with Emery Mills.
February 2 - Wednesday - Got the engine out and sawed wood in pm and went down to the Wagner’s to a social in the eve.
February 3 - Thursday - Sawed wood in am. It snowed like hell so we stopped until pm. Then sawed until 5:15. Was sleepy so I went to bed early.
February 4 - Friday - Sawed wood all day with drag saw. At night Bert and I went down town. Had a big time. Got home 2 am.
February 5 - Saturday - Sawed wood in am with buzzsaw. Snowed like fury. Pa took F. Clark down a load of wood.
February 6 - Sunday - The roads were drifted like the devil, but I went down to Avoca to Sunday school. I went home to dinner with Lottie. Had a nice time all day. Got home 3 pm.
February 7 - Monday - Split wood in am. Art and I went down town. Stopped to Wagner’s to supper. Had a nice time.
February 8 - Tuesday - Went down to Farmer’s Institute. Bert and I came home. Done the chores. Went back down. Lottie and I went in the evening.
February9 - Wednesday - Art, Bert and I went down to Farmer’s Institute in am and Art Stryker and I went down to Bath. Got home at 1:30 am.
February 10 - Thursday - Didn’t do much of anything all day. I went down in am after the mail. Took the gun along. Bert and I went to the dance.
February 11 - Friday - Took a load of wood down to Floyd Clark in am. Pa and Bert took 2 loads down in pm. I went up to Hoyt’s mill in pm. Got my horse shod.
February 12 - Saturday - Snowed like the devil. I went down to Avoca with S. Hydra. S.H. sold his team and rode up with us.
February 13 - Sunday - The roads were drifted like the devil but Bert and I went down town in am. Tried to come home at night, but backed out and stayed until Monday pm.
February 14 - Monday - Had a dandy time. Went up to Presbyterian Church on Sunday with Lottie.
February 15 - Tuesday - Took harness apart and washed it. Pa and Ma went down town. Bert and Art went at night.
February 16 - Wednesday - Pa and I went up to Rochester. Had a big time. Came home at night. Got home 10:30.
February 17 - Thursday - Took a harness apart and chored around all day. Snowed like the devil, but Bert and Art went to town.
February 18 - Friday - Art and I went down to Mills in am. Art and I went to the village. Then to the dance to Brosted's.
February 19 - Saturday - Cliff went to Avoca. Bert and Art went to Loon Lake. I stayed at home. Had the measles.
February 20 - Sunday - Pa, Ma and Cliff went to church and Sunday school. I stayed at home with the measles. Went to bed early. The Boys came home.
February 21 - Monday - I had the measles but I went down town and stayed all night. Went to work in the wheel shop.
February 22 - Tuesday - Worked all day. Liked to froze to death. Went to show and dance. Had a nice time.
February 23 - Friday - Worked all day. Stayed at home at night. Went to bed early.
February 24 - Thursday - Worked all day. Went up to see Dr. Pawling. Had a sore face.
February 25 - Friday - Worked all day. Went up town in eve. Came back home and went to bed about 11.
February 26 - Saturday - Worked all day. Went home at night. Got home 12:30 am.
February 27 - Sunday - Had a haircut. Took a bath. Changed my clothes. Stayed at home all day. Went down town at night.
February 28 - Monday - Worked all day in wheel shop. Went up town and watched the high water. Art helped Billings move hay.
March 1 - Tuesday - Worked all day. Went up town. Came home and went to bed. Lottie went to dancing school.
March 2 - Wednesday - Worked all day. Went to bed 7:15. Got up at 6:20 am.
March 3 - Thursday - Worked all day. Went up town. Got the mail. Went to the station. Went to bed.
March 4 - Friday - Worked all day. Went to dancing school. Had a good time.
March 5 - Saturday - Worked all day in the shop. Came home at night.
March 6 - Sunday - Had a thunderstorm. L.Mc. and I went to M.E. Church. Stayed at home all day and slept nearly all day. Mills and Razey’s folks came over. I went down town.
March 7 - Monday - Worked all day in wheel shop. Went up town in evening. Had to send P.O. money order to Rochester.
March 8 - Tuesday - Worked all day. Went up town to talk to Bert. Then went back up town for Lottie.
March 9 - Wednesday - Worked all day. Went up town in evening.
March 10 - Thursday - Worked all day in wheel shop. Went up town to see Uncle Lewis and Bert.
March 11 - Friday - Worked all day in wheel shop. Went to dance at night.
March 12 - Saturday - Went up town awhile. Shoemaker came up. Lawrence and I went to bed early.
March 13 - Sunday - Stayed at Avoca all night. Saturday night Pa and Cliff came down to M.E. I went home with them. Drove my horse down at night.
March 14 - Monday - The boys went down to Loon Lake. Monday, I worked all day in the shop.
March 15 - Tuesday - Worked all day in shop. My robe and mitts came.
March 16 - Wednesday - Worked all day and two hours at night.
March 17 - Thursday - Worked all day and two hours at night. Then shaved and went to dance.
March 18 - Friday - Was nearly all in. Worked all day. Popped corn and went to bed early.
March 19 - Saturday - Worked all day. Came home with the boys at night.
March 20 - Sunday - I cut Bert’s and Art’s hair. Pa cut mine. I shaved. Then laid around the rest of the day.
March 21 - Monday - Worked in wheel shop all day. Was awful tired. Went to bed early.
March 22 - Tuesday - Worked in shop all day. Went to bed early.
March 23 - Wednesday - Worked in shop all day. Went to Arnold Dyke’s shower. Had a bum time. Got home 11 o’clock.
March 24 - Thursday - Worked in shop all day. Didn’t feel good all day. Went to bed early.
March 25 - Friday - Worked all day. Went up town at night awhile. Went to bed early.
March 26 - Saturday - Worked all day. Came home at night early.
March 27 - Sunday - Washed my buggy and drove it down town. Lottie and I had our pictures taken. Then she came up home with me and both rode down town with Bert.
March 28 - Monday - Worked all day.
March 29 - Tuesday - Worked all day. Went up town a few minutes at night. Came home and went to bed.
March 30 - Wednesday - Worked all day. Didn’t go up town. Went up to bed early.
March 31 - Thursday - Worked all day and 2 hours at night. Didn’t go to dance.
April 1 - Friday - Worked all day and 2 hours at night. Went to bed early.
April 2 - Saturday - Worked all day. Quit the shop at night but didn’t go home.
April 3 - Sunday - Had a good time all day. Came home with Bert at night.
April 4 - Monday - Began work for Pa. It rained in am and plowed in pm.
April 5 - Tuesday - Plowed all day. Went down at night. Tried to trade horses with Ray Wheaton.
April 6 - Wednesday - Snowed all day. Worked on engine and grease the saw. Went to Bath at night.
April 7 - Thursday - Snowed all day. Finished greasing saw. Went to town to trade horses.
April 8 - Friday - Fixed Uncle Lewis’s engine in am and went down town in pm. I traded horses with Parshal.
April 9 - Saturday - Sawed wood all day and went down town at night.
April 10 - Sunday - Stayed at home nearly all day and worked. Hitched my new horse up at 4 pm. L.Mc. and I went up to Van Housen’s house.
April 11 - Monday - Sawed wood all day. Went to bed at night.
April 12 - Tuesday - Sawed wood in am. Finished in pm. Took 2 loads to town. I came home and went down town.
April 13 - Wednesday - Took 2 loads of wood down in am. Bert dragged in pm and I burned. Pa and Bert went down town.
April 14 - Thursday - Dragged all day. Went down town in evening. I had a dandy time.
April 15 - Friday - Dragged all day. Went down town with Pa in evening. It rained all the way home.
April 16 - Saturday - I drilled all day. Art came home at night. Bert and I went down town.
April 17 - Sunday - I went down town. Bert Chapman took my measure to send for some clothes..
April 18 - Monday - Drawed manure all day. Bert and I went down town. Bert stayed down and went to Dansville for Jenkins
April 19 - Tuesday - I sowed oats all day. It rained like the deuce in the pm. I staid at home in eve.
April 20 - Wednesday - Pa and I cleaned oats and b.wheat and I cleaned the heavy harness in am. Went down town in evening.
April 21 - Thursday - I went down to Fox’s to fix my drills. Came home in pm. Went to Razey after hogs. Drove 52 posts.
April 22 - Friday - Got some hay in pm. Plowed all day. Went down town at night.
April 23 - Saturday - Dragged in am. In pm I drilled oats and went up to see Art at night.
April 24 - Sunday - Rained nearly all day. I came home and stopped in Avoca.
April 25 - Monday - Plowed in pm. Pressed my clothes at night.
April 26 - Tuesday - Built fence in am. Plowed in pm. Went down town at night.
April 27 - Wednesday - Went to Maude Williams wedding. Got home at 10 pm.
April 28 - Thursday - Plowed all day. Bert and I went over to Bielifeld’s to the party. Had a good time and hell of a one to get away.
April 29 - Friday - Snowed a little in am and rained the rest of the day. Didn’t do much of anything. Went to bed early.
April 30 - Saturday - Finished building the fence and Pa and Ma went to Uncle Lewis’s. Bert and I split wood.
May 1 - Sunday - Bert, Cliff and I went to Mills in am and to Crawford’s in pm. went down to Avoca in evening. Had a dandy time. Got home 2 am.
May 2 - Monday - Sorted potatoes in am. Drawed in pm. Went to bed early.
May 3 - Tuesday - Sorted potatoes in am and took a load down in pm. Went to bed early.
May 4 - Wednesday - Sorted potatoes in am. Took last load down in pm. went down town with Bert's horse and he was sick.
May 5 - Thursday - Sorted potatoes in am. Took last load down in pm. Bert staid down to go pressing so I went down after him at night.
May 6 - Friday - Drilled oats all day. Went down to class social at night. Was nearly sick.
May 7 - Saturday - Drilled in am. Went to Cook’s after a load of hay. Bert finished sowing oats.
May 8 - Sunday - Art was home. They all went to church but Ma and I. I washed my buggy and painted my wheel.
May 9 - Monday- Sorted seed potatoes in am and in pm Pa and Ma went to town. Bert and I drew stones.
May 10 - Tuesday - I was cleaning my horse and he kicked me. I went down to see the doctor and set around all pm.
May 11 - Wednesday - Was lame as the deuce. Fixed my wheel. Bert and Pa went down town.
May 12 - Thursday - Helped Ma wash in am. Went up to Uncle Lewis’s in pm. Went to Wayland with Art at night.
May 13 - Friday - Went in to Uncle Lewis’s in am. Staid until pm. Then came home. Had a dandy time. Stopped at Avoca.
May 14 - Saturday - Did not do anything all day. Went down town at night..
May 15 - Sunday - Stayed at home all day. Went down to see Lottie at night. Got home at 12:30 am. Went on a ride down to Kanona.
May 16 - Monday - Dragged on side hill all day for corn. Went down town after Wagner’s planters and took Ma down to Star Meeting.
May 17 - Tuesday - Planted corn all day. Bert and I took Wagner’s planter home and drove down town. Got home 11:30.
May 18 - Wednesday - Dragged all am. Planted potatoes in pm. Went down town at night to watch the comet.
May 19 - Thursday - Finished planting the piece back of the barn and down town after seed and finished sowing corn.
May 20 - Friday - Plowed all day. It rained at night. I went to bed early.
May 21 - Saturday - Went to Frank Mckees? after a load of hay. Bert went after a load of sawdust. Plowed in pm. Down town eve.
May 22 - Sunday - Our folks went up to Uncle Jake’s. Bert and I staid home alone. I went down in pm. Jessie and Lottie rode up with me.
May 23 - Monday - Finished potato ground in am and in pm I took a grist to mill with my horse and Bert’s.
May 24 - Tuesday - Dragged nearly all day. It rained about 5 pm. Bert and I went down town. Had a nice time.
May 25 - Wednesday - Bert and I went over to A.J. Beal’s after some seed potatoes. It rained so Bert went to shop. B. and I went down town at night.
May 26 - Thursday - Dragged in am and in pm Bert and I marked the 14-acre lot. I went down . It was Lottie’s birthday. Had a nice time.
May 27 - Friday - Rained. Sorted Bert’s potatoes all day. Went to bed early. Bert C. and I went to Bath.
May 28 - Saturday - Finished marking 14-acre lot and planted in pm. Went to town in evening.
May 29 - Sunday - Art was home. We took a ride on our wheels and staid at home in pm but went down town in evening. Had a dandy time.
May 30 - Monday - Helped Art fix his wheel. Rained. I ate dinner at 11 am and went down to Avoca. Art, Lena, Lottie and I went for a ride in the evening.
May 31 - Tuesday - Planted potatoes all day. Rained a little all day. Dropped 6 acres. Went to bed early.
June 1 - Wednesday - Dragged Bert’s piece over once in pm. Planted potatoes in am. Went down town in evening.
June 2 - Thursday - Bert and I went down to H. Miller’s after seed potatoes in am. Finished planting Pa’s in pm Bert and I went down to concert.
June 3 - Friday - Dragged stone in am and in pm I dragged Bert’s piece and I rode my wheel down town at night.
June 4 - Saturday - Marked in am and in pm we all cut seed. Bert and I went down town.
June 5 - Sunday - Walter Jenkins and I went up and hired. Art came home and I went down to see Lottie.
June 6 - Monday - Planted potatoes all day in Bert’s piece. Bert and I went down to see Art come home.
June 7 - Tuesday - Planted potatoes all day. Finished Bert’s planting. I taped my shoes and sewed up my shoe.
June 8 - Wednesday - When down town, I pressed for Billings all day. Came home and went to bed early.
June 9 - Thursday - Pressed hay all day. Came home. Changed my clothes and went to band concert.
June 10 - Friday - Pressed hay all day. Came home and got ready and went to party at Wallace. Got home at 2:30.
June 11 - Saturday - Worked in engine room in am and plowed in pm. went down town at night.
June 12 - Sunday - Staid at home all day. Art came up at noon. He rode down with me at night. L.Mc. and I went to Kanona..
June 13 - Monday - Dragged b.wheat ground all day. Was nearly dead at night so I retired early.
June 14 - Tuesday - Dragged in am. Picked stone and rolled in pm. Cliff and I went down to town at night.
June 15 - Wednesday - Rolled all the am b.wheat. Mowed the road in pm. Went down to Bath in auto with C.W..
June 16 - Thursday - Drawed manure all day. I drove my rig down to band concert. Had a ride Lottie and I.
June 17 - Friday - Drawed manure in am. Lottie and I took my horse to shop. Pa took the gray horses down in am. Had a thundershower.
June 18 - Saturday - Cleaned Uncle Lewis’s engine in am and in pm I dug ditch back of house.
June 19 - Sunday - Lottie and I went to Uncle Jake’s to dinner. Went down to pond. Then took a drive through Castle Glen.
June 20 - Monday - Cultivated corn in am. Potatoes in pm. I went up to Crawford’s in evening.
June 21 - Tuesday - I loaded potatoes in am. Pa cultivated potatoes in am. Went to Avoca at night.
June 22 - Wednesday - Cultivated potatoes all day. Went down town to get my clothes. but did not get them.
June 23 - Thursday - Cultivated potatoes all day. Went down to band concert and got my clothes.
June 24 - Friday - Went down to commencement exercises at night.. Uncle Lewis came down after his engine.
June 25 - Saturday - We loaded his engine in am and in pm I went to Bath.
June 26 - Sunday - I went down to Sunday school, down to dinner with Lottie in pm. She and I went to Sunday school and home. Wore our new clothes and to children’s day at night.
June 27 - Monday - Cultivated corn in am and in pm I hilled potatoes. At night went to Avoca to see Art..
June 28 - Tuesday - Mowed the 12-acre pasture lot. Pa and Bert mowed the road. I took Bert down town at night. He went pressing.
June 29 - Wednesday - Cultivated in the acre lot all day. Ma and Cliff went down town at night. I went to bed at 9 pm.
June 30 - Thursday - Cultivated all day. Mill’s folks came over at night. I went down to band concert. Had a dandy time.
July 1 - Friday - Cultivated all day in 14-acre lot. Colt was sick. I staid at home.
July 2 - Saturday - Trimmed out berries in am and in pm I cultivated and went down town.
July 3 - Sunday - John Shiloh was here. went down town in am and came home to dine. Went down to see Lottie and came home with Cox.
July 4 - Monday - Celebrated the 4th at Avoca. Had a hell of a time.
July 5 - Tuesday - - Shovel-plowed all day. Drove down town after Art’s buggy. W.J., A.J. and Bert Z. and myself went to Kanona.
July 6 - Wednesday - Fixed sprayer in am and in pm I sprayed potatoes all day. Went to bed at 9:30.
July 7 - Thursday - Went to band concert at night.
July 8 - Friday - Worked all day and went to bed at 9.
July 9 - Saturday - Killed bugs in am. Cultivated and put up hay in pm.
July 10 - Sunday - Lottie and I went up to lake and to Uncle Lewis’s. Had a dandy time.
July 11 - Monday - Drawed in hay. It was a nice day. I taped Lottie’s shoes at night..
July 12 - Tuesday - Drawed in hay. It rained in pm. I fixed Dixy wheel and Bert and I went down town.
July 13 - Wednesday - Was so wet that Pa and I drew manure up from Juibug?. Washed buggy. Fixed up wheel.
July 14 - Thursday - Cultivated corn and tied hay in am. Put up hay in pm. Went to town at night to concert.
July 15 - Friday - drew in hay all day. Put up some at night and I went up to Crawford’s. Went to bed at 9 pm.
July 16 - Saturday - Drew in 3 loads and rained like fury all the rest of the day. Put rack together and went down town.
July 17 - Sunday - I stayed at home in am. Took a nap in pm. Went to Mills. Went down town at night.
July 18 - Monday - Sprayed potatoes all day. Worked until 8:30 pm.
July 19 - Tuesday - Sprayed potatoes all day. Went down town at night on my wheel.
July 20 - Wednesday - Sprayed potatoes all day. Bert and went to Wallace at night.
July 21 - Thursday - Cultivated corn in am and plowed potatoes in pm. Bert and I went to Avoca in eve.
July 22 - Friday - Plowed potatoes all day.
July 23 - Saturday - Cut the wheat and fixed hayrack. Went down in eve.
July 24 - Sunday - Went over to Fox’s in am. Took my horse down to Art and M. Corbett’s and I drove the mules up home.
July 25 - Monday - Cultivated corn. Cliff mowed hay. Bert and I went down after berries at night.
July 26 - Tuesday - Hoed corn and set up wheat in am and in pm put up hay. Went over to Charles H. to party.
July 27 - Wednesday - Pa was sick. Bert and I drew in hay. It rained in pm. Lila Billings was up here. Went to bed early.
July 28 - Thursday - Went down after a load of manure and in pm drew in wheat and hay. Bert and I went down town to band concert.
July 29 - Friday - Pa and I took Saltsman down a load of hay in am and pm raked and bunched hay.
July 30 - Saturday - Raked hay and drawed in hay all day. Went down town at night. Art came home with us.
July 31 - Sunday - Art and I went over to Prattsburg. Stayed to Ben Parshall's to dinner. Came to Avoca to see Lottie at night..
August 1 - Monday - I was sick in am so did not work. In pm we put up hay, drew in some and finished cutting.
August 2 - Tuesday - I went down town after a load of shit in pm. Put up hay and drew in 2 loads and went down town. Went to Wallace twice with F. Corbett and Lottie.
August 3 - Wednesday - Finished drawing in hay and plowed some but it rained in pm.
August 4 - Thursday - Drawed manure all day. Bert and I went to band concert.
August 5 - Friday - Lottie and I went to Louise Newfang’s funeral. Was gone all day. Got back at 6:30.
August 6 - Saturday - Plowed all day and went down town at night. Bert was to Naples.
August 7 - Sunday - Cleaned my harness and washed my buggy in am. Went up to Crawford’s and down to Fox’s and down to Avoca at night.
August 8 -Monday - sprayed potatoes in am. Fixed binder and cradled around the oats in pm. went to bed early.
August 9 - Tuesday - Went to Sunday school picnic and stayed down town awhile. It rained. I got wet.
August 10 - Wednesday - Bert and I worked for Billings in hay barn all day. Got home 8 pm. It rained nearly all day.
August 11 - Thursday - Cut oats all day. Bert and I went down to band concert.
August 12 - Friday - Cut oats all day. Bert and I went over to Walter Shant's to a party. Got back at 2:20 am.
August 13 - Saturday - Bert worked for Wise. Pa and I cut oats all day. Bert and I went down town at night.
August 14 - Sunday - I washed my buggy and cleaned my harness in am. Went down town. Lottie and I went for a ride.
August 15 - Monday - Bert worked for Wise. Pa and I cut oats all day. Went to bed early.
August 16 - Tuesday - Pa and Ma went to town. Bet and I drew in oats. I went down after Luella Miller at night.
August 17 - Wednesday - Pa and I drew in oats all day. I rode my wheel down town at night. Art came home with me.
August 18 - Thursday - We drew in 2 loads of oats. Then us boys went to Corbett’s reunion. It rained.
August 19 - Friday - Helped Wagner thrash and helped Wise. Came home and took a bath. Went to bed.
August 20 - Saturday - Pressed my clothes in am. Then Art and I went down to field day.
August 21 - Sunday - Lottie, Jessie and Luella were here all day. Had a dandy time. Took the girls home at night. Art rode my wheel down.
August 22 - Monday - Pa and I drew in oats all day. Art, Luella, Lottie and I took Bert up to the pond. then came back and brought Aunt J. up to house.
August 23 - Tuesday - Luella went home. I drew manure in am and plowed in pm. Went down town at night.
August 24 - Wednesday - Plowed all day. I took Julia down to station at night. Lottie and I went for a ride.
August 25 - Thursday - Drew wood from woods and built fence. Then Cliff, Leroy and I went down to band concert.
August 26 - Friday - Built fence all day. Cliff, Leroy and I went down to the show.
August 27 - Saturday - Cut wheat all day. Went down town at night. Art and I went to Wallace.
August 28 - Sunday - Marlatt’s folks and Lottie and I went for a trip to Watkin’s Glen. Had a dandy time.

September 1 - Thursday - Went down to Hunt’s and put his separator down cellar. Came home and split wood.

September 3 - Saturday - split wood all day. Went down town at night.
September 4 - Sunday - Our folks went over to J. Shiloh’s. Bert and stayed at home. I varnished my buggy. Went down town to see Lottie.
September 5 - Monday - Lottie and I went up to the Duck Pond to our class picnic. Then over to Uncle Jake’s. I got wet.
September 6 - Tuesday - Pa went down town. I dragged wheat ground until it rained. Then put the sprayer away and put my buggy together.
September 7 - Wednesday - Sowed wheat and rolled it. Picked stone. Pa and I went down town to Lodge.
September 8 - Thursday - Pulled Shoemaker's in am and in pm we cut brush. I went down town to band concert.
September 9 - Friday - Cut corn in am. Cut corn in pm. I drove down town at night with my horse cart. He came near running.
September 10 - Saturday - Ma fell down cellar. Cut corn all day. Pa went down town. I went down at night.
September 11 - Sunday - Albert Week’s folks were here. I blacked my harness. Lottie and I went over to Tucker’s after Flocie. Came home and then took Lottie home.
September 12 - Monday - Cut corn all day. Was tired as deuce. Wagner’s were here at night. Went to bed early. 8 pm.
September 13 - Tuesday - It rained all day. Pa went to Wallace. I fixed my cart and split wood. I went down town at night.

April 11 - Tuesday - Drew up bus wood in woods all day. Went to bed early.

December 28 - Thursday - Pa filed the saw and I made a lamp bracket. It stormed and blowed all day.
December 29 - Friday - Black my harness in am. R.F. came and we went hunting. Got five rabbits.
December 30 - Saturday - Fixed engine in am. Cut corn stalks in pm. Went down town after Clair.
December 31 - Sunday - Clair was up and in pm him and I went to Mills’ and I took him down at night.
