Dillenback of Wheeler to Miss Evaline M. Upthegrove of Prattsburgh.

Surgical operation - On the 24th inst., Dr. John W. Potter of Prattsburgh
removed a tumor from Henry Larue of Wayne weighing 3 pounds. The surgery
involved the entire side of his face and the upper portion of his neck. Dr.
Potter used chloroform and took 10 to 12 minutes to perform the surgery.
He received aid from Dr. Read of Bath and Dr. Chapman of Tyrone.

Died - Mr. Joseph Brooks on Wed. last. He fell from a load of hay
on Mon.; of Bath, aged 26 yrs.

Died - On May 9th in Bath, John D. Higgins, M. D.; one of oldest residents
of village. He was born in Haddan, CT in Oct. 1785 and removed to Bath in
1814. He was President of the Steuben Co. Medical Society. He was failing
under pulmonary complaint for the last three years.

age 25, until 1848, at which time he came to Prattsburgh to live with his
daughter. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

He was coulping cars at the depot and was caught between them; on Feb. 24th.

to Bath; buried with Masonic honors near the spot where he first settled
in Urbana.

in the Town of Painted Post; active Justice of the Peace for over 20 yrs.;

of village. He was born in Haddan, CT in Oct. 1785 and removed to Bath in
1814. He was President of the Steuben Co. Medical Society. He was failing
under pulmonary complaint for the last three years.

89 yr. 10 mo. He was born at Westerly, RI about 1765; at 16 enlisted and
continued until the close of the Rev. War. He moved to Renssalaer Co. at
age 25, until 1848, at which time he came to Prattsburgh to live with his
daughter. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

misstep and fell into a cellar; head struck a timber; Dr. Moore dressed the
wound, and Mr. Nichols is getting along comfortably.
