James S. Molson, enlisted 26 July 1862 at Elmira, NY, in Co. F, 107th Regiment NY Volunteers, as a Private. He died 26 May 1864 of a gun shot wound (GSW) received at the battle of Dallas, GA. This information is listed in the 'Declaration For An Original Pension Of a Father Or Mother' dated 2 Jan 1880, in Surrogate Court, Steuben County NY. The pension number at that time was No. 259.135. James Molson was the son of Louisa Molson and not the 'widow' as shown on the 1883 Pension Records. Ms. Krause suggested that I contact you regarding correcting the information. I have both the complete Military and Pension records for James S. Molson.
