- ABSTRACT: Business records from outside Tompkins County, and for unidentified persons or places. Businesses represented are A. Perry & Son, shoemakers, Moravia, 1864-82; A.V.C. Vail, sawmill, Barton, 1873-77; Eliphalet Bennet, farmer, Ovid, 1802-22; Myron Park, farmer, Bloomfield and Canandaigua, 1833-78; Caleb Demett, farmer, Perry City, 1832-65; M.T. Vanderzee, farmer, Hector, 1857-66; M. Fremont Vanderzee, 1882-89; insurance accounts of D.H. Ayers, Troy, 1899-1904; A.S. Nixon, sawmill and tannery, Van Etten, 1868-89. Other items are a school commissioner's log book of Henry H. Houpt, Seneca County, 1845-46, with a schedule of undertaking accounts, c.1849-51, giving death dates for persons in Seneca County. Accounts of investments by Thomas Vermilya of New York City, in real estate, Morris Canal, Morris Canal & Banking Company, also household accounts and family record, 1828-35.
- ABSTRACT: Account books with no place indicated include ones of Herman Slaght, 1882-91; Nathan Wakeman, farmer, 1831-45; John Brown, farmer, 1849-63, with estate accounts; A.H. Hixson, store, 1882-87; Henry Brown, store, 1882-89; E.B. Nichols, farmer, 1834-73; Charles Babcock, livery stable, 1849-52; estate of Alexander C. Kellogg, 1846-63. There are also several unidentified store books; a timebook for a railroad section gang, 1889-91; accounts of a farm and milk route and notes of pastoral visits, 1855-82; a sawmill ledger, probably Cortland County, 1837-50; and accounts of sales of goods to Indians, 1793-95.

Records of City of Ithaca include road tax assessment books for 1840 and c.1845; police dockets, 1855-60, 1868-75; an undated assessor's book, draft; cash books for wages, 1887-99; and ledger of city treasurer, mostly blank, 1908. There are also accounts of Ithaca town supervisors, 1830-63; record book of town of Ulysses, 1795-1859; record of animals estrayed, Lansing, 1817-50, also a register of voters, 1866.
