- NOTES: Restricted film was marked and use copies were weeded at time of accession; 99 rolls of master negatives (security copy) were sent to the State Records Center (TL 95-43). Sometimes restricted and non-restricted vital records (pre- and post-1880) appear on the same film roll; since the records cannot be accessed separately, all such rolls are restricted.
- ABSTRACT: Microfilmed records include tax rolls for several towns and villages in Schoharie County. Information typically includes name of property owner, location of property, description, amount of land, assessments, exemptions, amount and purpose of general taxes, special taxes, and date of payment. Some include tax warrant and tax schedule, and some have separate listings for non-residents and residents. Also microfilmed are county clerk's registers of marriages and returns of births, marriages, and deaths.
- ABSTRACT: Microfilmed tax rolls include rolls for the towns of Blenheim (1868-1942), Carlisle (1866-1942), Conesville (1860-1942), Esperance (1927-1938), Fulton (1864-1942), Gilboa (1862-1942), Jefferson (1909-1942), Middleburgh (1886-1942), Richmondville (1907-1914), Wright (1934-1939), Summit (1864-1890); and villages of Richmondville (1977-1992), Schoharie (1987-1991), and Sharon Springs (1922-1992). Other microfilmed records are county clerk's registers of marriage licenses and certificates issued in the county (1908-1935), and returns of births, marriages, and deaths for all towns in Scoharie County (1847-1849 only).
