- ABSTRACT: Minutes of Town Board meetings kept by the Town Clerk, 1765-1981, concerning ordinances, resolutions, official correspondence, approval of audited bills, reports from officers and consultants, budgets, and other business, with early volumes also including boundaries of road districts, 1765-1891, and animal ear marks, 1765-1798; the first volume, 1765-1798, is a typescript copy of the original; registers of births, deaths, and marriages, 1847-1853 and 1881-1981; register of chattel mortgages, 1854-1964; register of conditional sales contracts, 1922-1964, concerning credit purchase contracts negotiated between/by Town residents; list of volunteers, draftees, and substitutes furnished during the Civil War, 1862-1865; poll books of original signatures from elections in 1863, 1892, and 1929; instruments conveying property to the Town, 1899-1980; register of aliens' intent to apply for citizenship, 1896-1906; broadsides and handbills publicizing official notices from the Town, 1890-1940; officials' bonds of surety, 1920-1970; oaths of office, 1836-1885 and 1922-1981; list of enrolled voters, 1927-1964; a small amount of general correspondence, 1920-1931; register of physicians, midwives, and undertakers, 1914-1946; candidates' campaign expense statements, 1917-1973; notarized statements of nominations to Town office, 1912-1966; certified election results from Town elections, 1911-1960; and maps, diagrams, and blueprints filed with the Town Clerk by Town officers, 1859-1975.
