- ABSTRACT: Most of the materials relate to Otsego County and include orders, rosters, summonses, commissions, petitions, returns, and payrolls, including many from the year 1818. Official papers of Gen. George Morell, 2nd Brigade of Infantry; and Capt. George A. Yates, 251st Regiment. There are also orders, returns, lists of delinquents, and marching diagrams of the 241st regiment, Kings County (Brooklyn), 1829-37; miscellaneous letters from West Point, 1828-56; scrapbook about the Utica Citizens Corps, 1886-92; and miscellaneous officer appointments.
- ABSTRACT: War of 1812 items include order and roster book, regiment of detached militia from Saratoga, Montgomery and Schoharie Counties, Lt. Col. John Prior, stationed at Plattsburgh in 1814; receipt book for material issued by John Willard, quartermaster of unnamed brigade, at Albany and Sackets Harbor, 1812; regulations of U.S.S. Madison, stationed on Lake Ontario, 1813; and photostats of N.Y. Militia muster rolls of Capt. William A. Henderson and Capt. John Meacham, both 1814.

Dutcher, of New York City, salesman for hops grown in Otsego County, 1854-1909; Sarah A. Fairman, teenager of Butternuts, 1819-21; Rosamund D. Farnham of Rhinebeck and Fayetteville, 1854-55; M.W. Frisbee, farmer of Delaware County, 1870, 1882; Benjamin Gilbert, diary and letterbook kept as officer in Peter Harnwood's Company, Leonard's Regiment, 1778-80; and James H. Gillis, journal of voyage in U.S.S. Dale and U.S.S. Germantown, 1850-52. There is also a diary of a resident of Garretsville, mentioning Quaker meetings, abolition lectures, and housebuilding, 1848-49.
