- ABSTRACT: Papers and records of individuals, families, churches, businesses, and organizations in Ulster County, especially Kingston, including deeds, bonds, mortgages, land patents, estate papers, agreements, military records, minutes, bills, receipts, accounts, letters, poems, certificates, slave records, genealogical charts and notes, and memorabilia. The collection is especially strong concerning 18th century settlers of Kingston and vicinity. Items of note include preaching journal with marriage records of Rev. Johannes H. Van Wagenen, 1826-1844; invoice and account books of John H. Jansen and Abraham J. Hasbrouck, 1795-1804; letter copybook of Lattouch and Philipse, merchant traders who sailed to England, West Indies, the Caribbean, and the U.S. Atlantic coast, concerning instructions for shipping, buying, and selling, 1740-1749; minutes of Delaware and Otsego Railroad Company, 1887-1901; records of Caatsbaan Church, 1743-1813; records and minutes of Rosendale Baptist Church, 1843-1890; and minutes and account books of the Kingston Dutch Reformed Church, 1716-1824.
