Guidelines to Request a Lookup

Use "Seneca County NY Lookup" as your subject line and limit each request to one surname.
Give the lookups volunteer as much information as possible, such as possible location, time period, first names of the person you're most interested in, and so on.
So that the volunteer does't spend time providing information that may not be pertinent to your family, or that you already have, be as specific as you can.
Due to copyright concerns, lookups volunteer are only allowed to give you minimal information so that you can then seek out the resource yourself. This information might just include page number in resource, name of individual you're seeking or their family members, etc.
Many books and resources have become available online after these kind people made their offers. Contact them as a last resort.
Keep in mind that these folks who've kindly offered their help are just family researchers like yourselves, and may not be able to get back to or assist you immediately.

Many maiden names are given for women members.
