BARRETT Larry Milligan, [email protected] Oct. 10, 1998
I am looking for descendants and information of my earliest known ancestor Cyrus BARRETT. Cyrus was born in 1797 at Seneca Falls, Seneca Co, NY. He married a Susannah from PA and had three children. With his family, Cyrus returned to NY, probably to Seneca Co. Here Cyrus and Susannah had three more children. The family then migrated to Ohio sometime before 1843. Cyrus was the first settler of Madison Twp, Williams Co, OH. Here in Northwestern Ohio, Cyrus played a large role in this new twp. He, as well as his oldest son Cyrus, and Elias (probably brother to the elder Cyrus) were some of the first elected officers of Madison Twp. in 1843. In 1858 both Cyrus and Susannah passed away and were buried in the BARRETT Cemetery which Cyrus had purchased in the 1830's. If anyone who is researching Seneca County, NY knows of this family, or is a descendant of this family. Please reply...

BURCH Dan Walker, [email protected] June 14, 2001
Would like any and all information concerning Eli Burch who lived in Waterloo, SENECA county, New York from 1800-1830. Did he have a son, Billings Burch, who went to Butler, Wayne, New York around 1840 then went to Wisconsin around 1850? Eli Burch may have been involved with a Miranda Harrington who married Chester Winans in 1825 in Butler, Wayne, New York. Miranda Harrington is the mother of Billings Burch. Billing Burch married Catherine Peters, the daughter of Harmon Peters/Charity Sherman of Summerhill, Cayuga, New York. The marriage would have taken place in the late 1830s.

BURNS Pat Littlefield, [email protected] March 24, 2006
Patrick Burns, born about 1835 in Ireland, and his brother, Owen, born about 1841,. both lived in Seneca Falls.Patrick was Baggage Master at the railroad depot, and Owen took over when Patrick retired in about 1910. There was a sister, Julia Burns Sorahan, wife of Thomas, who lived in Novi.
There were several children in the Sorahan family, but apparently everyone in the family except for Julia, the mother, and her eldest daughter, Katy, died between the 1880 Federal Census and 1887, for Julia married Thomas Condon or Conden , in 1887 in McLean County ,Illinois where her sister, Alice, who married James Murray had settled. What happened to her "first" family?
Any information on these Burns brothers and sisters will be appreciated.
