This Indenture Made the ninth day of July in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and twenty five Between Elizabeth Lobdell wife
of William Lobdell of Palmyra in the County of Wayne and State of New York
but late of Tyrone in the County of Steuben and State aforesaid of the
first part, And Sylvanus Travis of Tyrone aforesaid of the second part
Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration
of the sum of one dollar lawful money of the United States to her in hand
paid by the said party of the Second part, the receipt whereof is hereby
confessed and acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold, remised released
aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell,
remise, alien and confirm unto the said party of the Second part and to
his heirs and assigns forever, All that certain piece or parcel of land
now in the actual possession of the said party of the second part Situate
and lying in the town of Tyrone in the county of Steuben and State aforesaid
and known and distinguished as lot number three, and the South part of
lot number two in great lot number fifty one in township number five in
the first Range of townships in the County of Steuben containing one hundred
and fifty acres of land which was formerly owned by my husband William
Lobdell and by him conveyed to the said Sylvanus Travis Together with all
and Singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or
in any wise appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and
remainders, rents issues and profits thereof, and all the Estate right
title interest claim and demand whatsoever of the said party of the first
part or either in law or equity of in and to the above bargained premises
with the hereditaments and appurtenances, To have and to hold all and Singular
the above described and hereby granted premises with the said hereditaments
and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the
said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the Sole and only
proper use benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part his
heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof the said party of the
first part hath hereunto set her hand and seal the day and year first above
written –

Steuben County On the ninth day of July
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five personally
came before me Benjamin Sackett a commissioner in and for the county of
Steuben aforesaid the within named Elizabeth Lobdell known to me to be
the same person described in and who executed the within Indenture, and
being the wife of the Said William Lobdell as described in the said within
Indenture, and She Separate and apart from her Said husband acknowledged
that She voluntarily Executed the Same without any fear threats or compulsion
on the part of her Said husband, I do therefore allow it to be Recorded.
