This Indenture Made the twenty fifth day of June in the year of Lord
one thousand eight hundred and twenty two Between Samuel Lobdell &
Susan his wife & William Lobdell and Elizabeth his wife of Wayne Steuben
County and State of New York of the first part and Increase Cooley of the
same place of the Second part Witnesseth that the said parties of the first
part for and in consideration of the Sum of Seven hundred dollars to them
in hand paid by the party of the Second part the receipt whereof is hereby
confessed and acknowledged Have granted bargained Sold remised released
aliened and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain sell remise
release alien and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to
his heirs and assigns forever, All that certain piece or parcel of land
Situate and lying in the town of Wayne County of Steuben and State of New
York and being parts of lots number one in great lot number forty one in
township number five in the first range of townships in Said county of
Steuben – Beginning at the northwest corner of said lot and running thence
South eighty seven & a half degrees East forty three chains and fifty
seven links, then South two & a half degrees west five chains &
Seventy two links, thence north eighty Seven and a half degrees west twenty
chains and fifty five links, thence south two & a half degrees west
eight chains & Seventy eight links, thence north eighty Seven &
a half degrees west eight chains & Seventy eight links, thence north
eighty Seven & a half degrees west twenty three chains & two links
thence north two & a half degrees East fourteen chains & Seventy
links to the place of beginning excepting and reserving therefrom one acre
of land in the north west corner now owned by Henry Blazns , the piece
hereby conveyed containing forty five acres of land Together with all and
Singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in
any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders,
rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest
claim or demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part either
in law or Equity of in and to the above bargained premises with the said
hereditaments and appurtenances, To Have and to Hold the said forty five
acres of land as above described and bounded unto the said party of the
Second part his heirs and assigns forever, And the Said parties of the
first part for themselves their heirs Executors and administrators do covenant
grant, bargain promise and agree to & with the Said party of the Second
part his heirs and assigns that the whole of the above bargained premises
in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part
his heirs and assigns against all and every person or persons lawfully
claiming or to claim the whole or any part of the above mentioned and described
premises will forever Warrant and Defend – In Witness whereof the Said
parties of the first part, have hereunto set their hands and Seals on the
day and in the year first above written.

Steuben County On the twenty fifth day of June
in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty two before
me John Teeple one of the Judges of the Court of Common pleas of the said
county personally appeared Dan Arnold and Ralph Swarthout the subscribing
witnesses to the within instrument who being duly sworn Saith that they
saw the within named grantors William Lobdell and Susan Lobdell Sign Seal
and deliver the within instrument as their voluntary act and deed for the
uses and purposes within mentioned and that they know the said Wm Lobdell
& Susan Lobdell and that they are the persons described in &
who executed the same and that they subscribed their names as witnesses
to the execution of the same, and I, knowing the said Dan Arnold and Ralph
Swarthout, and being Satisfied that the said Wm. Lobdell and Susan Lobdell
the persons described in and who executed the same Let it be Recorded

that on the twenty fifth day of June one thousand eight hundred and
twenty two before me John Teeple one of the Judges of the Court of Common
pleas of the said County personally came the within named grantor Samuel
Lobdell to me known to be the persons described in and who executed the
within Instrument who duly acknowledged that he Signed Sealed and delivered
the Same as his voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes within
mentioned I therefore allow it to be Recorded.
