     Mrs. William W. Chapman, seventy-seven, died at her home at Boucks Falls, Monday night, Jan. 9, of cancer, a brief mention of which was made in this paper last week. She has been in failing health for the past six months. She was born at the old Hilts homestead at Breakabeen, May 30, 1855, and had spent almost her entire life ion the town of her birth. She was a faithful member of the Presbyterian Church and a charter member of the Missionary Society at Breakabeen, and was beloved by a large circle of friends. A graduate of the Teachers’ College at Albany, for years she taught in the Kingston public schools and the schools about her home. About forty-seven years ago she was united in marriage to William W. Chapman of Breakabeen. Funeral was held Friday at the home, the Rev. William B. Frith officiating. Burial in Breakabeen Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, one daughter Mrs. Edward Van Voris of Jackson Heights, N. Y.; one son Leo H. Chapman of Lawrence, Mass.; a sister Mrs. Arthur Maynard of Milford; one granddaughter Virginia Van Voris, and a large number of nephews and nieces.

The Homestead! O the Homestead!
     To which I’m drawing near!
I’m sighting for that Country,
     My heart is aching here.
O dear, dear native County!
     O rest and peace above.
Lord, guide me to that happy land
     Of Thy eternal love.

     WHEREAS, The Angel of Death has again entered our midst, and called to that great Homeland, one of our charter members, Mrs. W. W. Chapman, therefore, be it
     RESOLVED, That in the death of this member, we as a Society, have lost one who was greatly interested in furthering our Master’s work, and be it
     RESOLVED, That we as members of the Ladies’ Home and Foreign Missionary Society do apply ourselves with renewed energy to this great work, knowing that if we remain faithful to His cause, we will be reunited, and be it further
     RESOLVED, That a copy of these resolutions be given to the immediate members of the family, and one be placed upon the records of this Society, and also one be sent to each of our local papers. – Mrs. Mabel E. Safford, Mrs. C. E. Foland, Mrs. Brewster Bouck.
