Turner's New York & Harlem Railroad Directory between New York City and Brewster for the Years 1891-1892 was Published by E.F Turner & co. of 217 Elm St., Yonkers, N.Y. — This book is slowly being transcribed by volunteer, John LaBarre.
In 1886, William S. Pelletreau published his "History of Putnam County, New York with Biographical Sketches of its Prominent Men". Check the Table of Contents for this book and find out what pages may have been transcribed and posted to this site.
French's Gazetteer of the State OF New York is an important resource for researchers in New York State. It was published in 1860 and, as its title identifies, it gave a "...Comprehensive View of the Geography, Geology, and General History of the State and A complete History and Description of Every County, City, Town, Village, and Locality."
