Notes for DENNIS MCCARTHY:
 Dennis served in Company D, 9th Heavy Artillery during the Civil War.  After the war, he purchased a farm in the Town of Hannibal, Oswego Co., NY.
 Dennis and both of his wives are buried in the Old Irish Cemetery on the Rathburn Road in the Town of Oswego, Oswego Co., NY.  On the large family gravestone, Dennis is listed as being born in 1847.  On his individual headstone, his birth date is given as 1846.

 Nellie's father was Michael Broderick, born in Ireland.  She was buried in the Old Irish Cemetery on Rathburn Road in the Town of Oswego, Oswego Co., NY, on August 3, 1931.  On the large family gravesone, her birth date is listed as 1854; however, in the records at the Hannibal Town & Village Hall, her birth date is listed as August 15, 1852.
