Hannibal Historical Society Meeting Schedule

Dear Members and Friends:

This year we are going to try some new things to see if we can expand and improve our Historical Society.  We are going to have “program” meetings and “business” meetings, but not on the same date.  We are hoping that when we have a program, there will be ample time for audience participation and questions. So… round up your friends and neighbors and try the new and improved Hannibal Historical Society. All meetings are free and open to the public, including children accompanied by an adult.  Please check the bold type for the location, type and time of each meeting.

Parish Town Historical Society (From Mary Lou Guindon)
The former Oswego County Historian, Barbara Dix will be a guest speaker on Wed., April 14 at the Parish Town Historical Society meeting at the Mills and Petrie Memorial Gymnasium 2938 East Main Street Parish, beginning at 7 PM.  Barb was an Oswego county employee for 12 years and has served on a variety of boards around the county.   She is an interesting person with tremendous knowledge of the Oswego County history and genealogy.   "Genealogy is so interesting because it's such a mystery to unravel, it's a good puzzle and you're never really done," she said. "You get to learn so much when you're researching your family tree."  Refreshments will be served and the public is encouraged to attend.
