She is thought to be one of the group who migrated to Fabius from Wyoming Co., PA with Simon Keeney. May originally come from East Hartford, CT and/or Saratoga Co., NY. Alan Benson. Wed Oct 16 08:23:29 1996 Surnames: KETCHUM, ROSE, CLARK My g-g-g-grandfather Howard Ketchum was born 18 July 1819 in Syracuse, NY. He died 1 October 1907 in Ganges, MI. Death records show his parents to be John and Malinda Ketchum. He lived in Parma, NY until 19 March 1867 when he moved to Michigan. Howard married a Cynthia Rose who was born about 1828. She died 10 July 1874 in Michigan. Death records list her parents as Elijah and Olive Rose. He had a son, Lewis Clark Ketchum (my g-g-grandfather) born 13 December 1848 probably in Parma and a daughter Lydia A. born 28 March 1850. Howard had a brother William Square Ketchum (1816-1874) and possibly another brother Joseph Ketchum (1820-1886). They are all buried together in a cemetery in Michigan. The story as told by my g-grandmother says that Howard Ketchum's parents came from England and died soon after. Howard was raised by a Lewis Clark family. That is why he named his son Lewis Clark. I have been unable to find any information about Lewis Clark. Does anyone have any further information about the Ketchum or Clark families? His name is Ezekiah Klock and he and his wife, Elizabeth Davidson, lived in Preble at the time of the 1860 Census. The Census did not give his place and date of birth, nor his parent's names.
