PHILIP HENRY HALES & SARAH LEWIS
Tue, 24 Dec 96 17:29:14 My grandfather Philip Henry Hales and my grandmother Sarah Lewis Hales who became Sarah Griesbach when she became widowed and married George Griesbach. Philip & Sarah both came from England around the turn of the century and settled in Syracuse. I don't know if they married before they left England or not. Sarah was born March 9, 1886 and died in 1972. I don't know when Philip was born but he died when my father, Henry Leonard Hales, was in the eighth grade which had to be around 1923. Sun Nov 3 20:25:24 1996 Looking for ancestors and descendants of Hiram Hall who married Marie Haight in 1831, Madison County, New York. They had the following children: Lucy (b. 1841), Annie, Charles, perhaps Eveline. Lucy married a Simon Grote (looking for his ancestors and descendants also; daughter Cora Grote married Charles O'Connor/Conner - looking for his ancestors and descendants as well...). Charles retained the family property in Sullivan Township, Madison Co., NY. Eveline married Francis Cooper of Baldwinsville, Onondaga Co., NY. Sat, 16 Nov 1996 22:26:43 -0800 I am researching my 4th G.Grandparents...JOHN AND SALLY HASKIN/HASKINS of Onondaga Co., NY. during 1790 through 1850. I have checked the Federal census records available to me and found only one JOHN HASKIN in Onondaga Co. in 1800 - 1840. Their son, Wm. H. Haskins, was born in 1817 in Onondaga Co. and moved to PA by 1840. I have just started my research on JOHN and SALLY. Wed Jan 29 07:50:03 1997 I am looking for any reference to a Don (Donald) Hinds in NY state from the early 1800s on. He was married to Bertha Sunday (or Sundroff) of Arkwright, NY (in Chautauqua County) in the early 1900s. Also has anyone ever heard of a Schuyler Lake, NY? Sat Nov 2 06:10:09 1996 My grandparents said they were married on 4 July 1899 in Syracuse, New York, but I have yet to find a record of their marriage. Their names were: William Lewis Holley and Emily Calistia Pette(i)ngi(e)ll. I have just written the Office of Vital Statistics in Syracuse and they can find no record of their marriage. I do know they were protestant and he later became a minister in the Congregational Church and later in the Presbyterian Church. Where do I go from here? Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have found Amos, Jonathan, and Amos, Jr.Holliday in the Census of 1810, Twp of Pompey (but not in 1800 or 1820). One of them is probably my great great grandfather. Tue, 25 Feb 1997 21:57:43 -0700 I am seeking information on the parents of Lieut. James Jefferson Hooker, b. 13 Jan 1836 in Baldwinsville or Lysander. He married Mary A. Thomas, and after the war, moved to Missouri.
I am seeking confirmation and more information on Octavus HOOKER. Family information says he was the father of Lieut. James Jefferson HOOKER, but I have not found confirmation of that.

Thu, 31 Oct 1996 21:17:10 Your Hoyt line gave me thought that the researcher might have come across an Anna Hoyt who m Abraham Husted and had children in or near Johnstown, Fulton County, formerly Montgomery.
