Thu Jan 23 18:29:45 1997 Looking for information on John Fargo believed to be a son of Gideon Fargo and born at Manlius NY in 1831 or 1832. Gideon also had a brother named John who reportedly died before 1830. The John Fargo born about 1831 married a Mary Ann Chambers who was one year younger. Any help appreciated. EMail: Richard Spath

WILLIAM FLANNIGAN & MARGARET SHERIDAN
Tue, 4 Feb 1997 02:19:39 I am searching for my great grandparents William Flannigan born 1811 in Ireland and Margaret Sheridan born 1830 in Ireland. I have found them in the 1850 census in Camillus with one child born in 1849. My grandmother Louise Ann Flannigan(Flanigan) was born in 1851. They moved in 1856. Sat Dec 7 02:42:08 1996 Interested in: Rufus Freeman, born about 1808 in New York. He was married Sept. 1, 1833, to Naomi Talmage of Ballston, N.Y. They had three daughters, Persis, Mary and ?, and a son, Rufus, Jr. Persis (my great- grandmother) was born Nov. 18, 1839, in Lagrange County, Ind. According to local history sources in Lagrange County, Freeman was one of the earliest pioneers of that area. Freeman died Feb. 10, 1841, seven months before his son was born. Mary was born in 1834. There was a Rufus Freeman in Fabius in the 1930 census. The Onondage Centennial refers to the founding of the First Baptist Society in Fabius in 1803. The first pastor was Rev. Rufus Freeman. Also, there was a query to the historical society in 1974 regarding a Rev. Rufus Freeman of Truxton, who married Clarissa Mason in 1817. Freeman is not in 1830 or 1840 census of Lagrange County, Ind., but is mentioned in Counties of Lagrange and Noble, Indiana, 1882, and History of Northeast Indiana, 1920. EMail: Lloyd Brown
