Cardiff, Jan. 9th To the editor of the Syracuse Journal, dated Jan 7th, a communication in regard to the death of Mr. James Rowe. The writer, speaking of the old pioneers, states that "of all the early settlers on the old State Road, between Pompey Hill and Skaneateles, he was the only survivor for the last fifteen years."
