Will of Samuel JEROME, Liber A

In the name of God, Amen, I Samuel Jerome being weak in body but of sound mind and memory, Blessed be Almighty God for the same, Do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Lucy Jerome one third part of all my real and personal estate - And whereas I have given unto my eldest son Samuel in real and personal estate the sum of seventy pounds lawful money of the State of Massachusetts. And I have likewise given heretofore to my sons Timothy, John, Levy, and Chauncey in like money the sums of seventy pounds each. And also I have given to my son Aaron the sum of fourty one pounds Eleaven shillings like money. Also I have given to my daughter Lucy the then wife of Joseph Edwards the sum of fifty eight pounds in like money. Also to my daughter Lowis the wife of Ezekiel Collander now the wife of Elias Stilwell the sum of thirty pounds seven shillings and Eleaven pense like money. Also to my daughter Ruth the wife of Edward Boytstone the sum of twenty two pounds four shillings like money. I do also give and bequeath unto my daughter Tryphena the sum of forty three pounds sixteen shillings like money. I do also give and bequeath unto my youngest son Amasa the sum of fifty two pounds like money. And whereas I have given my son AMasa two years of his time to be computed at eighteen pounds to be reducted out of his portion I do therefore bequeath him fifty two pounds, like money including all the moneys laid out to enable him to get his education. I do furthermore will and bequeath the remainder of my estate if any there by after my just debts are all paid in the following manner, viz to all my sons an equal divident, viz, Samuel, Timothy, John, Levy, Aaron Chauncey, and Amasa, and to my daughters Lowis, Ruth, and Tryphena to have a divident each half equal to one of my sons - and lastly as to all the rest of my personal estate, goods, and chattels of what kind and nature soever I give and bequeath the same to my said beloved wife Lucy Jerome whom I appoint my executrix together with my sons Chauncey Jerome as my executor, and executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. In witness I have hereunto set my hand and seal twenty third day of November in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety five.
