Parmelia A. Cole To Sterling Cole, dec'd, Ex'r of This Indenture Made this Eight day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty one Between Parmelia A. Cole, Widow of Sterling Code deceased now a resident of Loake County in the State of Indiana of the first part and Alanson West Executor of the Estate of said Cole deceased of the town and county of Onondaga, NY of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part in consideration of the sum of Two hundred dollars to her in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged have bargained sold, remised, and quit claimed and by these presents doth bargain sell remise and quit claim unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever. All that certain piece or parcel of land situated and lying in the town and county of Onondaga in the State of New York and distinguished as fifty acres of Lot number One hundred and Eight seven (187) of the tract known by the name of the Late Onondaga Reservation and is described in a certificate of our Comprtroller filed in our Secretary's office as being the north part of said lot bounded on the east, the north and the west by the lines of the lot, and on the south by a line parallel to the north and south lines of the lot, containing as aforesaid fifty acres of land it being the same land heretofore deeded by the State of New York to the said Sterling Cole. Also one other piece of land situated in the town and County of Onondaga NY on the late Onondaga Reservation on Lot number One hundred and seventy nine (179) in said town, containing eight acres of lands be the same more or less it being the same piece of land heretofore deeded by Benjamin Griffin Jr. to the said Sterling Cole, Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest claim and demand whatsoever of the said party of the first part either in law or equity of in and to the afore bargained premises with the said hereditaments and appurtenances. To Have and to Hold forever and the said Parmelia A. Cole aforesaid and for her heirs executors and administrators doth covenant promise and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that she has not made done committed executed or suffered any act or acts thing or things whatsoever whereof or by means whereof the abovementioned and described premises or any part or parcel thereof now are or at any time hereafter shall or may be impeached changed or encumbered in any manner or way whatsoever. In Witness Whereof the party of the first part have hereunto set her hand and seal the day and year first above written Parmelia A. Cole {Seal} Sealed and Delivered in presence of State of New York State of Indiana. Porter County p. On this twenty first day of March in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty one before me the subscriber personally appeared Parmelia A. Cole to me known to be the same person described in and who executed the written instrument and acknowledged that she executed the same Horatio A. Wheeler Justice of the Peace {Seal} State of Indiana Porter County p. E. J. Jones Clerk of the Circuit Court within and for the County of Porter aforesaid do hereby certify that Horatio A. Wheeler Esq. whose certificate of acknowledgement appears to the instrument of writing to which this attached was on the date and at the time of making said certificate to wit the 21st day of March role was a acting Justice of the Peace within said for said County of Porter duly elected, commissioned and qualified and that full faith and credit _____ _____ to his official acts and that the signature purporting to be his is genuine. {L.S.} In Witness of which I presents affix the seal of said Court and subscribe me name at Valpanaiso this 23rd day of March A.D. 1861 E.
