This society was an outgrowth of religious work conducted by Rev. Mr. Winshurst and was incorporated in 1866.  The brick church is situated on the corner of Park avenue and Geddes street.  Mr. Winshurst continued with the church more than twenty years, and was succeeded by Rev. T. I. C. Warren and he by Rev. H. N. Becker.
