We the subscribers do certify that at a meeting in the town of Manlius County of Onondaga on the fifth day of Nov. in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & thirty two of the male persons of full age being members & friends of the Methodist Episcopal Church held in pursuance of public notice given two successive sabbaths or meeting days, & at least fifteen days before the time of meeting for the purpose of incorporating themselves according to the act to provide for the incorporation of religious societies Joseph C. Green & Hiram C. Snow two of the members of said Society were duly chosen to preside at the said meeting and that Egbert Colman & Moses Chapman first class, Abraham Van Schaick & Darius Sweet second class and Cornelius Cool third class were duly elected Trustees of the society to be incorporated.  And it was resolved by the sd. meeting that the society to be incorporated should be called and known by the name or title of the Fourth Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Manlius.  And we do further certify under our hands and seals that the above mentioned proceedings were had in our presents, Joseph C. Green, Hiram C. Snow, Darius T. Sweet.  State of New York Onondaga County  ss:  I certify that on the fifth day of March 1833 personally appeared before me Darius T. Sweet to me known & who bring by me duly sworn made oath & said that he resides in the town of Pompey in said county & that he is personally acquainted with Joseph C. Green & Hiram C. Snow & knows them to be the same persons described in & who executed the within certificate or instrument in writing & they both of them acknowledged & admitted to said Sweet that they freely executed the same for the uses and purposes therein mentioned & that he the said Darius T. Sweet subscribed his name thereto at the request of the said Joseph C. Green & Hiram C.
