From The Farm Journal Illustrated Rural Directory of Onondaga County 1917.  Philadelphia:  Wilmer Atkinson Co., 1917, pp. 43-297.

Abbreviations:  bds, boards; O, owns; T, tenant; H&L, house and lot; ret., retired; ch, children;  R1, Rural Route; La Fa 10 means lives in LaFayette township on Road No. 10.  Postal route precedes town of residence and road number.  Postal routes were not bound by town lines.  For example, a resident might have a Manlius postal address, but live in Pompey.  There is no map in the directory.

Town abbreviations are:  Camillus, Cam.; Cicero, Cic; Clay, Cla; DeWitt; De Wt; Elbridge, Elb; Fabius, Fab; Geddes, Ged; LaFayette, La Fa; Lysander, Lys; Manlius, Man; Marcellus, Marc; Onondaga, Ono; Otisco, Otis; Pompey, Pom; Salina, Sal; Skaneateles, Skan; Spafford, Spaf; Tully, Tul; Van Buren, Vn Bn.

The following excludes the Villages of Baldwinsville and Skaneateles which are listed separately.    Names are printed as they appear in the directory, and obviously include errors.   Due to time constraints, I am unable to answer any questions.  Thank you.  K.C.
