In the name of God amen. I Silas Bush of the town of Harrisburg, County of Lewis and
State of New York considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound and
perfect mind and memory, blefsed be Almighty God for the same do make and publish
this my last will and testament, in manner and and form as follows (that is to say) First I
give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Charlotte Bush the use of one third of my real
estate during her natural life and the right to bequeath it (at) her decease, one horse and
one horse carriage to be made according to her directions. I do also give and bequeath
unto my eldest daughter Clarifsa and my son in law William Humphrey the husband of
Clarifsa the use of the ten acres of land bounded as follows beginning at the southeast
corner of David Richards land and running Northerly on the east line of said Richard's
land to a brook, thence northerly in the same direction twenty five rods thence easterly a
sufficient distance to form a long square which also contains ten acres, the boundaries of
which shall run parallel with David Richard's east line in the east and west sides and
parallel with Wout (Wait?) Stodards north line on the south and north sides during their
natural life. If the said Clarifsa should have an (?Ip??) of children one or more that
should survive her death the above bequest shall be appropriated (to) their heirs forever
and ever, if not and William shall survive Clarifsa and shall wish to remove from the
place the heirs then living shall pay to the said William the value of all nefsary buildings
which he shall put or cause to be on the above described premises.
I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Sally wife of Jedsediath Scott one hundred
dollars to be paid in grain or stock when my youngest son Francis becomes of age.
I do also give and bequeath unto my daughter Milifsa Bush one hundred dollars to be
paid in stock when Francis shall be twenty three years old and a home in her father's
house as long as she shall remain single and when married shall be furnished for
housekeeping equal to the other girls a schedule and price of which here follows taken
from Clarifsa's via (?) bed ticking for two beds $11, feathers for two beds $29, one
bedstead and cord (?) $2, two under beds $2 each, three pair of linen sheets $3.75 a pr,
one pair of flannil sheets $2.50, one pair plaid woolen blankets $8, one chintz bed quilt
$6, one woolen bed quilt $7, four pair cotton pillow cases $1 a pair, four pillows at $1.25
each, six diaper towels at six shillings each, three diaper table cloths one dollar and thirty
one cents each, two Bro(wn?) towels two shillings each, two meal bags $1 each, one
bleish ? carthers teapot three shillings, one fancy teapot one dollar, a set and a half of
fancy teacups & saucers $1.13, one sugar bowl four shillings, one cream (?) one shilling
and six pence, one set of knives and forks ten shillings, one set common table spoons six
shillings, three sets of fancy table plates of different sizes $1.29, four baking ? ? each,
one deep white plate three shillings, ? two saucer plates ? each, two glafs tumblers one
shilling & six pence each, one glafs salt stand one shilling, one pepper stand ?, three
different size earthen plates at four, three, and two shillings, one quart earthen pitcher
three shillings, one quart mug one shilling, two tin pans for milk three shillings each, two
earthen milk pans two shillings each, one tin pail six shillings, one skimmer one shilling,
one earthen cream pot two shillings, one fire shovel and pair of tongs $3, one wash bowl
two shillings, one dish hittle (?) $1, one porridge pot $1, one spider $1, one iron
candlestick $0.19, one cow $15, six kitchen chairs $4, one burcase (?) $16, one cherry
table $6, one tea kettle $1, one looking glafs fifteen shillings.
And I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Paulina Bush one hundred dollars to be
paid in stock when Francis shall be twenty six years old and a home in her father's house
so long as she remains single and when married to be furnished for housekeeping equal to
the other girls as above described, and further Millefsa or Pauline or both shall remain
single until they are forty years old there shall be dorm for them from my estate the same
as if they married.
I so also give and bequeath unto my two sons Horatio Wilson Bush and Francis S.
Grande (?) Bush all the rest of my real estate.
I so also bequeath unto Walter Bush my nephew one hundred dollars to be paid in stock
& two suits of cloths. If the said Walter continue and be faithful in my service until he is
twenty one years old, said legacy to be paid to him at the expiration of his tie of service.
And I do also hereby my beloved wife Charlotte Bush and my son Horatio Wilson Bush
sole executors of this my last will and testament in witnefs whereof I herit set my hand
and seal this fourteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and twenty nine.- Silas Bush (S.S.)

In the name of God, Amen. I, David Scott, of the Town of Lowville, in
the County of Lewis and State of New York. Being weak in body but of
sound and perfect mind and memory, do make and publish this my last Will
and Testament in manner and form following that is to say; first, I give
and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mehitabell Scott the use of one third
of all my real estate during her natural life and also one equal third
of all my personal estate; and I also give and bequeath unto my four
sons, namely Enos Scott, Josiah Scott, Jeremiah Scott and William Scott,
the remainder of all my real and personal estate to be equally divided
between them; and I also appoint my beloved wife Mehitabell Scott to be
Executrix and my eldest son Enos Scott to be Executor of this my last
Will and Testament, and I also further will and direct my Executor to
pay to my daughters Hanna, Polley, Anna and Pruela one dollars to each,
and likewise to pay to my daughter Betsey the sum of ten dollars, and
likewise attend to her education the same as to the rest of my children,
which expenses must be paid out the estate before it be divided hereby.
Revoking all former wills made by me, in witness where of I have her
unto set my hand and seal, the thirteenth day of March in the year of
our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and six. Signed, sealed,
published and declared by the above named David Scott to be his last
Will and Testament, in the presents of us who have here unto subscribed
