Haskell-Marston Auxiliary No. 56

Yarmouth, Maine

Haskell-Marston Auxiliary No. 56, located in the small historic town of Yarmouth on the beautiful Maine coast, meets at 7:00 p.m. on the third Monday of every month.  Instituted in February of 2000, with nineteen members strong and growing, the membership of Haskell-Marston Auxiliary No. 56 has already raised over $4000 for the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. by conducting a Donation Drive during the month of April.  A special feature of their fund-raising efforts was the "World War II Tribute Night" on April 22nd, which featured both live and recorded entertainment in a "USO" canteen setting. The Auxiliary is a sponsor of Gary's House in Portland and is currently assisting the Yarmouth American Legion Mayberry-Anderson Post #91 in placing American flags on veterans' graves in the town cemeteries.  The Auxiliary placed floral tributes on the graves of William Haskell, Charles Marston and SUVCW Camp #56 member, David Grant.    The Auxiliary assists the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War Haskell-Marston Camp #56 in Yarmouth.
