William H. Van Orden and Mary Hopkins were married at Catskill by the Revd James Romeyn on the evening of the twenty fourth day of June one thousand eight hundred & forty (June 24th 1840)
Births:
William H. Van Orden was born at Catskill on the ninth day of February one thousand eight hundred and sixteen (Feby 9th 1816)
Mary Hopkins was born at New York on the fifteenth day of September one thousand eight hundred & fourteen (Sept 15th1814)
Philip Vernon Van Orden our first child was born at Catskill March eleventh one thousand eight hundred and forty one (March 11th 1841). Baptised Sept 5th 1841 by Revd James Romeyn.
William Van Orden our second child was born at Catskill November 20th 1845 (November twentieth one thousand eight hundred & forty five). Baptised February 10th 1847 by the Revd David Murdock.
Charles Hopkins Van Orden our third child was born at Catskill April eleventh one thousand eight hundred & forty seven (April 11th 1847) Baptised December 10th 1847 by the Revd David Murdock
Mary Louisa Van Orden our fourth child was born at Catskill March eleventh one thousand eight hundred & fifty six (March 11 1856). Baptised July 13 1856 by the Revd Ransom B. Welch
Anna Van Orden our fifth child was born at Catskill January third one thousand eight hundred & fifty eight (January 3rd 1858). Baptised February 26, 1859 by the Revd Ransom B. Welch.
Deaths:
Mary, my dearly beloved wife departed this life Jany 18 1870 in the full assurance of a blessed hope of eternal life through Christ.
