Last Will and Testament of Mary Clow

IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN:

I, Mary Clow, of the Town of New Baltimore, County of Greene and State of New York being of sound mind and memory, do make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, that is to say:

FIRST. After all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, I give, devise and bequeath to my two sisters, Elizabeth Terry and Samantha Fares, all my wearing apparel to be divided equally between them, share and share alike.

2nd I give and bequeath to my sister, Samantha Fares, my best set of dishes.

3rd I give and bequeath to my Nephew, George O. Wilsey, my best bed and, as an outfit for it, one one Coverlet, one Comfortable, two Flannel Sheets, three Muslin Sheets and two Pillows and Cases: also one-half dozen Silver Teaspoons marked M. T. and one Quilt.

4th I give and bequeath to my Niece, Alice Wilsey, one Coverlet, one Comfortable, two flannel Sheets, three Muslin Sheets, one-half dozen solid silver Teaspoons formerly owned by my Grandmother and bearing upon the back of each handle the following imprint – Newland and Jones; also one-half dozen silver-plated knives and forks, and one Quilt.

5th I give and bequeath to my Nephew, Adee V. Wilsey, one Bed, one Coverlet, one Comfortable, two Flannel sheets, three Muslin Sheets, two Pillows and Cases and one-half dozen silver-plated Knives and Forks, and one Quilt.

6th All the rest, residue and remainder of my property, of every name and nature and wherever situated, I give and bequeath to my Nephew, Harold T. Wilsey.

Likewise, I make, constitute and appoint Byron Mansfield of the Town of New Baltimore, County of Greene and State of New York and my Nephew, Harold T. Wilsey, of the same town to be executors of this, my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, the twenty-eighth day of November in the year one thousand none hundred and fourteen.

The above instrument, consisting of one sheet, was, at the date thereof, subscribed by Mary Clow in the presence of us and each of us: she at the time of making such subscription, acknowledged that she made the same, and declared the said instrument so subscribed by her to be her last Will and Testament. Whereupon we then and there, at her request, and in her presence and the presence of each other, subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
