Probated at Catskill, June 6, 1864
In the name of God Amen I Jeremiah E Clough of the town of Athens in the County of Greene and State of New York (Farmer) of the age of seventy four years being of sound and disposing mind and memory and understanding, do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say.
1st First I order and direct my executor hereinafter named to pay all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses as soon after my deceased as conveniently as may be.
2d Second I give and bequeath unto Margaret Dederick (wife of ______ Dederick) the sum of four hundred dollars to be paid to her the said Margaret Dederick two years after my decease
Item Third I give and bequeath unto my adopted daughter Magdalene Clough daughter of Jeremiah Clough the remainder of my real and personal estate of what kind and nature soever unto her and her heirs forever
Lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint Prentiss W. Hallenbeck of the town of Athens in the said County of Greene sole Executor of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty fifth day of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty four

The within instrument consisting of one sheet was at the date thereof signed sealed published and declared by the said Jeremiah E. Clough as and for his Last Will and testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto
