In the name of God Amen
I Elias Dutcher of the town of Cairo in the County of Greene and State of New York do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in the manner and form following
 
I do order and direct all my debts to be paid out of the whole of my personal estate.
 
I give and devise and bequeath unto my wife Elizabeth all my estate real and personal to have and to hold the same from and after my decease for and during her natural life.
 
I give and devise to my daughters Catharine, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Mary and their respective heirs and assigns one hundred acres of land lying and being within said town of Cairo bounded east on (Lemuel?) Jones' and Neri (?) Stoddard's land West by Ira T. Day's and Moses Austin's land and North on Seth Warner's land (it being the same land I bought of Nathaniel (Renalton?) Esq.) to have and to hold the same from and after the decease of my said wife to my said daughters and their heirs & assigns forever as tenants in common.
 
I give and devise unto my great grandson Elias Dutcher son of my grandson Seth Dutcher the farm on which I now live containing about one hundred ninety one acres and a half acre with all the building thereon to have and to hold the same to him the said Elias Dutcher his heirs and assigns forever.
 
I give and bequeath unto my great grandson Elias Dutcher one good horse saddle and bridle, one good feather bed, bedstead, & bedding suitable for winter and to be paid out of my personal estate and delivered when the said Elias arrives at the age of
twenty one years (but not before the decease of my said wife.)
 
I give and bequeath unto my grandchildren, the four children of my son John Dutcher deceased fifty dollars said to be paid out of my personal estate when they respectfully arrive at the age of twenty one years together with the interest on said sum to be computed from the death of my said wife.
 
The residue of my personal estate I give and bequeath to my said daughters Catharine, Elizabeth, Sarah, and Mary to be divided equally among them after the death of my said wife.
 
I do nominate and appoint my wife Elizabeth Executrix and Isaac Bogardus and Amasa Mattson Executors of this my last will and testament and do hearby authorize impower & direct them to sell at public auction to the highest bidder all my personal property (except the bequests herein before mentioned and my household furniture, farming utencils, two teams, one team of horses, the other of oxen, three milch cowws, and such other things as in their opinion of my said Executrix and Excutors will be necessary for the comfort of my said wife her life time and then commission of said farm on which I now live and to be put out at interest the amount of said sale of personal property and pay the interest annually to my said wife during her life.
 
I do hereby revoke and declare revoked all former wills by me made.
 
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty.
 
Signed & sealed published & declared by the above named Elias Dutcher Testator to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto set our hands & subscribed our names as witnesses (the word declared is underlined).
