Last Will and Testament of Casper Clow, Jr.

In the name of God amen_ I Casper Claw Junr of Athens
Coxsackie in the County of Greene in the State of New York do hereby make and
constitute this Testament to be my last Will & Testament thereby revoking
all other wills and testaments heretofore made by me_
1st I Will that at my decease my body be buried with decent Christian burial_
2nd Concerning my worldly property I Will that
after my decease and after paying my debts it shall Be distributed as
follows Viz. That my well beloved wife Rebecca Claw shall have the sole control
of all my property both real and personal as long as she shall continue my
widowed wife_ but in case she should be married to another I will that this her
Authority and Control shall cease and a division thereof of my property
be made according to this my last will and testament_ I Will that my Daughter Eliza
Rachel when she shall have attained lawful age or when she shall enter into
Matrimony shall shall[sic] receive out of my Estate the Lawful Sum of Fifteen
hundred Dollars_
I Will like wise that my Daughter Eliza Catherine when she shall have attained to Lawful age or enter into matrimony receive out of my Estate the Lawful Sum of Fifteen hundred dollars_ I Will like wise that my two youngest children my Son John and my Youngest Daughter Eliza Catherine shall be Sent to school and receive a good Common school Education out of my Estate_ It is my Will that the remainder of property both Real and personal shall be equally divided between my two sons Jacob Claw and John Claw_ And Lastly I hereby constitute & appoint Abraham Van Dyck Esqr of the town of Coxsackie and John Van Loon of the Town of Athens and my wife Rebecca Claw to be the Executors of this my last Will & Testament
Signed, Sealed and pronounced at Preble in the County of Courtland and State of New York this fouth day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty_
