This indenture, made this twelveth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy three between Peter M. Dumond & Elizabeth Dumond his wife of Catskill, Greene County and State of New York of the first part, and Bateman Wasson of the same place of the second part, Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part, in consideration of the sum of five hundred and seventy five Dollars to them duly paid, has sold and By these Presents, does grant and convey to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, ALL that certain Piece or Parcel of Land, situate lying and being in the Village of Catskill, Town of Catskill, Greene County and State of New York and bounded generally as follows, Beginning at the point on the Easterly side of Main Street in the corner of Lands of James Cooke and the party of the first part and running thence Southerly along the said Main Street, twenty five feet thence Easterly parallel with Cooke's line thirty feet, then Northerly twenty five feet to Cooke's line, thence Westerly along said Cooke's line, to the line of said Main Street the place of beginning.
With the Appurtenances, and all the Estate, Title and Interest therein of the said party of the first part. And the said party of the first does hereby covenant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that the premises thus conveyed in the Quiet and Peaceable Possession of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns they will forever Warrant and Defend against any person whomsoever, lawfully claiming the same, or any part thereof.

County of Greene on this 12th day of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy three before me the subscriber personally same Peter Dumond and Elizabeth Dumond his wife to me known to be the same persons described in and who executed the within instrument, and severally acknowledge that they executed the same, and the said Elizabeth Dumond on a private examination by me, apart from her said husband acknowledged that she executed the same freely and without any fear or compulsion of her said husband.
