Prattsville Boarding Houses, Resorts and Hotels
Moore's Tourist Home, Prattsville, Greene Co., NY. It was built as a Methodist parsonage by Col. Zaddock Pratt, post -1828 and pre-1833. The house is still there but has undergone some changes. The house was owned by Edwin and Blanche Moore. Edwin b. 10 Apr 1885 in Lexington, Greene Co., NY. He was the son of Clark L. Moore and Rowena Miller. Blanche b. 28 Oct 1885 in Windham, Greene Co., NY. She was the daughter of John Hyde Turk and Marilla Hallenbeck. They married in Jewett on 4 Nov 1908 and for a while resided in Lexington. They moved to Prattsville in 1912 and Blanche resided there until abt 1970. Mrs. Moore charge $2.00 per day with breakfast and dinner included. Contributed by Pam Moore Leitt.
