In the matter of Proving the Last Will and Testament of Ira Scribner, deceased.
To the Surrogate’s Court of the County of Greene:
The Petition of John V. Scribner, of the town
of Catskill, N.Y. respectfully showeth:
That lately, and on or about the 12th. day of September A.D. 1890 Ira Scribner
died at the town of Catskill in the County of Greene, being at the time of his
death, a resident of the said county of Greene; that the said Ira Scribner
deceased, left a certain instrument in writing, purporting to be his last Will
and Testament bearing date upon the 22nd. day of October in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and Eighty-five~which relates to real and personal
estate, and in said instrument your petitioner and Joseph Scribner of Catskill,
N.Y. are named as the executors. And which instrument your petitioner verily
believes to be the last Will and Testament of the said Ira Scribner, deceased;
that the said Ira Scribner died leaving the following persons him surviving,
to-wit:
Your petitioner herein, a son, Joseph Scribner a son, Ettie Frost a grandaughter, Caroline A. Hawver, wife of James Hawver, a grandaughter, the two last named being children of a deceased daughter of said deceased, and all of the above residing in the town of Catskill, N.Y., Nelson T. Scribner a son, residing in the town of Hunter, N.Y., all of the above are of full age ~
And Howard Frost and Zadie Frost both great grandchildren of said deceased, being children of Eugene Frank Frost, deceased, who was a son of a deceased daughter of said deceased, said Howard and Zadie Frost, both residing with their Mother, Ella Frost (widow of said Eugene Frank Frost) at Merrill, Saginaw Co., Mich. and both being infants under the age of 14 years and all of the above being the only heirs at law and next of kin of said deceased~
