Nicholas P. Bier
Former postmaster
Nicholas P. Bier, 72, died Sunday, December 17.
He was born in the Bronx March 2, 1934, the son of the late Nicholas and Loretta Bier.
A longtime resident of Greene County, he graduated from Cairo Central School in 1952. Nick served in the Navy during the Korean War.
He was a postmaster in Freehold and Acra for more than 30 years until his retirement.
He was a grand knight for the Knights of Columbus of East Durham, a life member of the Cairo Hose Co. and a communicant of Sacred heart Church of Cairo.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Ernestine Bier; son Michael Bier Sr. of Acra; brother Martin Bier of Tupper Lake; grandchildren Crystal Bier of Catskill and Michael Bier Jr and wife Heather of Purling; great-grandchildren Brianah Bier, Perry “P.J.” McArthur, Robert “D.J.” Moore and Nicholas Michael Bier; stepgrandchildren Kerry and Billy Willenbucker; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation took place at the Albany Rural Crematorium, Menands.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cairo Rescue Squad, to Community Hospice of Columbia-Greene, 47 Liberty Street, Catskill 12414, or to the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center, 113 Holland Avenue, Albany, 12208.

Former Durham resident
Hedwig Mahler, 98, a resident of the Masonic Home in Utica, formerly of Durham, died at St. Luke’s Hospital in Utica on December 25, 2006.
She was born in Germany August 31, 1908, the daughter of the late George and Anna (Klusmeyer) Meyer.
A lifelong homemaker, she was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Maranatha Valley Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are her cousin Alvina Klamt, and her friends and neighbors.
Her two husbands, John Niebuhr and Diedrich Mahler, predeceased her.
As to her wishes, there were no calling hours. Graveside services took place in the Greenville Cemetery.
Arrangements were with Cunningham Funeral Home, Greenville.

Former Coxsackie mayor
A. Willis Parks, 95, of Dunnellon, FL., formerly of Coxsackie, died Saturday, December 16 at Legacy Hospice House of Ocala.
He had been retired for the past 32 years after being in the insurance business all his life. He and his wife, Alma, who predeceased him, also had an income tax business and sold real estate.
He was mayor of Coxsackie for several terms and listed his greatest accomplishments as obtaining the funds for and building the water reservoir for Coxsackie.
He was a former member of the Rotary, Chamber of Commerce and the Greene County Association of insurance agents and served as a committee chairman of the Salvation Army for 21 years.
He enjoyed membership of the Citrus Springs Country Club for many years and was a member of the watch in that community.
Surviving are his stepdaughter and son-in-law, Carole and Franz Menge; three grandchildren, Franz Peter Menge, Meg Littleston and Joshua Mengel and seven great-grandchildren.

William Playford Sr.
Gunsmith
William C. Playford Sr., 69, of Round Top, died Tuesday, December 19 at Benedictine Hospital, Kingston, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born in Kingston November 20, 1937, the son of the late Roscoe and Emma Ferguson Playford.
A retired self-employed gunsmith, he was known for his expertise in gun repair and craftsmanship. Also known as “the Gun Doctor,” he earned an award from Hopkins and Allen for inventing and crafting a muzzleloader that was sold through Numerich Arms Corp. of West Hurley.
A former president and employee of Numerich Arms Corp. and a foreman at Hudson Cement Co., Bill was a past member of the Moose Lodge of Port Ewen.
He was a member of St. Joseph Novitiate of Round Top, where he was comforted and visited by the sisters and Rev. Santay during his illness.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Marilyn Manford Playford four children, William Playford Jr. and wife Margie of Kingston, Marilyn Byrne of Mt. Marion, Theresa Gallo and husband Pat, and Darren Playford and wife Mary, all of Saugerties; two brothers, George “Joe” Playford and wife Mary of Catskill and Robert “Bob” Playford of Ulster Park; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Will and Alex Playford, Lea Byrne, Denielle, Alicia and Dom Gallo, and John and Paul Playford; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Harry and Roscoe Playford, and a sister, Marie Playford Hendricks.
Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Ruth Radick
Eastern Star member
Ruth F. Radick, 98, a resident of Debary, FL, since 1998, died Tuesday, December 26, at Orange City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Florida.
Mrs. Radick was a homemaker who was born in Austerlitz and moved to Florida from Oak Hill, where she had lived for over 70 years.
She was a member of Valley Chapter #38 Order of the Eastern Star of Oak Hill and received a 75-year pin. She was a past district deputy and the OES New York State chaplain in 1975, when Marion Kopko was grand matron.
She enjoyed pinochle and attending her children’s activities. She was a volunteer for several local organizations and especially enjoyed serving at the many functions at the Oak Hill Durham United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, George and Lionel Ford, both of Delatona, FL, and graduates of Greenville High School; a brother, Roger Webster of Westfield, MA; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her two husbands, Leo Ford and Charles Radick, and her sisters Elsie and Rachel.
Delatona Memorial of Orange City, FL, was in charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth “Betty” Sapienza, 82, of Albany, formerly of Greenville, died at the Ann Lee Home in Albany on Thursday, December 28.
She was born in New York City July 15, 1924, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Moore) O’Dea.
She was a teller for the National Bank of Coxsackie in Greenville.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph Sapienza; a daughter, Elizabeth “Betty” Malanga and husband Joe; a son, Anthony Mastroianni and wife Susan; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Her first husband, Carmine Mastroianni, and a son, Charles, predeceased her.
Interment was in the Greenville Cemetery.

Joseph Berniaz
Navy veteran
Joseph Berniaz, 98, formerly of Round Top, died Monday, January 8 at Eden Park Health Care Center in Catskill, where he had been a resident for the last year and a half.
Born in Austria July 18, 1908, he was the son of the late Anton and Antonia Berniaz.
Joseph served in the US Navy during World War II.
An area resident since 1973, he was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church of Cairo. He enjoyed playing the accordion and gardening.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Grace and Leonard Asaro of Cairo and Catherine and Fred Tupone of Staten Island; four grandchildren, Leonard Asaro, Joseph Asaro, Eric Tupone and Lisa Dodge; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ann.
Calling hours are today, January 11, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm from Richards Funeral Home, 20 Bross Street, Cairo.
A Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 10am Friday, January 12 at Sacred Heart Church, Cairo.
Interment with full military honors follows in the Round Top Cemetery.

Leo “Howard” Cross, 79, of West Coxsackie, died Friday, January 5 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital.
Born in St. Albans, VT, June 18, 1927, he was the son of the late Phillipe and Salina (Deso) Cross.
Howard retired in 1990 from SUNY Albany in the maintenance department.
He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Greenville, a church he helped build.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly (Moore) Cross; a daughter, Suzanne Lane (Ronald) of West Coxsackie; three sons, Brian Cross (Diana) of Earlton, Philip Cross of Vermont and Francis Cross (Margaret) of Selkirk; a sister, Eleanor Owens; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Madeline Kruzensk, 85, of Greenville, died Friday, January 5 at Eden Park Health Care Center, Catskill.
She was born June 19, 1911 in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late August and Magdalen Kruzensk.
Surviving are her brother, August Krusensk and wife Agnes; sister-in-law Vesta Kruzenski; and several nieces and nephews.
Interment was in St. John’s Cemetery, Middle Village.
Arrangements were with Cunningham Funeral Home, Greenville.

Richard Morrison
Machinist
Richard C. Morrison, 86, of Cairo, died suddenly Monday, January 1 at his residence.
Born October 24, 1938 in Cairo, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Ola (Palmater) Morrison.
He served in the Marines in the 1950s and before retiring, was a machinist for the Micronetics Co. in Kingston.
A lifetime resident of Cairo, he enjoyed the outdoors and cutting firewood.
Survivors include two brothers, Robert Morrison of South Cairo and Harry Morrison of Cairo; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Frances Watts of Round Top and Helen and Earl Granderath.
He was predeceased by a brother, Harold Morrison.
Interment with full military honors was in the Cairo Cemetery.

George Petrigliano
Machinist
George E. Petrigliano, 93, of Coxsackie, died Sunday, January 7 at his home.
Born in West New York, NJ, on October 7, 1913, he was the son of the late Santo and Rose (Lionetti) Petrigliano.
George was a machinist for Bendix Aviation in Teterboro, NJ.
He and his wife, the late Virginia G. Smith Petrigliano, brought their family to Coxsackie in 1959 and purchased the Little Store in Lafayette Avenue in Coxsackie from the Steele family and became active participants in the lives of many.
After retiring, George enjoyed going on long drives in the country and wintering in Florida.
He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Mary’s Church of Coxsackie.
Surviving are a son, George T. Petrigliano of Coxsackie; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rosemarie and Paul Craw, Patricia M. and David Stockman, and Ginna A. and Gary Hillicoss, all of Coxsackie; a sister, Dorothy Lionetti of Florida; six grandchildren, Lisa Bennett and Angela Madden of Florida, Jason Donnelly, Cheyenne Hillicoss and Savannah Hillicoss of Coxsackie of Coxsackie and Eva Donnelly of Albany; three grrat-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, who died on March 21, 2003, he was predeceased by brothers Anthony and James, and sisters Philomena Francisco and Tina Petrigliano.
Interment with full military honors was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Coxsackie.

Alfranzino Urso, 95, of Coxsackie, formerly of Freehold, died at the Eden Park Health Care Center in Catskill on Saturday, January 6.
She was born in New York City May 15, 1911, the daughter of Michael and Josephine Crapanzano.
She was a lifelong seamstress and had worked at the Landmark Dress Shop in New York City and then at dress shops in Catskill and Coxsackie.
She loved cooking and nature, especially the many wild birds that she loved to feed.
Surviving are two sons, Jack Urso (Lucy) of Coxsackie and Michael Urso (Rosalie) of Myrtle Beach, SC; three grandchildren, Salvatore Urso, Roseanne Carpenter and Michael Urso; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Urso; a brother, Bobby Day; and two sisters, Mildred LaRosa and Lillian Battle.
Interment was in the Greenville Cemetery.

Frank Van Ness

Frank “Pep” Van Ness, 88, a resident of West Coxsackie since 1980 and a former longtime resident of Athens Village, died Saturday, January 6 at his home.
Born January 24, 1918 in Rutherford, NJ, he was the son of the late Franklin Clinton and Carrie V. (Demarest) Van Ness.
He served in the Army during World War II, from 1940 to 1945, as a medical NCO in the European, African, Middle Eastern, Asiatic, Pacific and Philippine battles and campaigns.
He had his first paying job at age 6 delivering groceries in Rutherford, NJ. He also had a delivery route for Baker Boy of Hudson and Arnold Bread. He earned the nickname Pep while working for Al Nestlin’s grocery store in Athens.
Pep owned Van Ness Upholstery in Athens and Coxsackie for many years. He also was an industrial supervisor for upholstery at the Coxsackie Correctional Facility.
He also had worked for the Kadin Brothers pocketbook factory in Athens and Grumman Allied, formerly Aerobuilt, in Athens.
Pep was a member of the Federated Church of Athens and served on many committees. He also was a member of the Athens High School Alumni Association and VFW and American Legion Post of Coxsackie, and was a life member of the Odd Fellows in Athens and the William Raymond Lodge of Odd Fellows in Saugerties when the Athens Lodge merged.
Surviving are his wife, Anita (Beatty) Van Ness, whom he married in 1962 at the First Baptist Church of Catskill; a daughter and son-in-law, Effie Lou and Imon Waugh of the western US; two sons and daughter-in-law, Franklin and Robin Van Ness of the western US; four stepchildren, Anita Smith of West Coxsackie, David Anspacher of New Baltimore, Mark and wife Kristin Anspacher of Colonie and Donna Anspacher of Coxsackie; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a great-great-granddaughter.
He was predeceased by a son, Duane Van Ness.
A memorial celebration will be conducted at a later date at the Federated Church of Athens.
Burial will full military honors will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Darlene M. “Dolly” Yarum, 68, of Bethany Village, West Coxsackie, died Friday, January 5 at Columbia Memorial Hospital, Hudson.
She was born in Schenectady September 11, 1938.
Prior to her retirement, Dolly was a claims adjuster for the Prudential Insurance Co.
An area resident for 26 years, she was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church of Coxsackie and enjoyed collecting frog figurines.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne Smith of Coxsackie and Dorothy Smith of Clifton Park, two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Donna Samtaluski a sister, Sharon Kazda; a grandson, Christopher Smith; and two nieces.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank, in 1986.
Private cremation took place at the Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
Memorial contribution in Dolly’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Community Hospice or the American Cancer Society.

Nina Forsell, 90, former(ly) of Gilboa, died at the Dutch Manor Nursing Home in Rotterdam on Wednesday, January 10.
She was born in the Town of Broome on July 28, 1916, the daughter of the late Jared and Allie (Cook) Wood.
A lifelong homemaker, she loved cooking and gardening.
She was a member of the Hilltoppers and the Broome Center Chapel Church.
Surviving are a son, Herman Forsell Jr. (Lillian) of Albany; a sister, Julia Mann of Schoharie; four stepgrandchildren and several stepgreatgrandchildren.
Her husband, Herman Forsell Sr., and a son, Robert Forsell, predeceased her.
Burial was in the Potter Hollow Cemetery.

Marjorie Ingalls, 95, of Greenville, died at the Good Samaritan Lutheran Health
Care Center on Monday, January 15.
She was born in Ashland August 25, 1911, the daughter of the late Scott and Harriett (Salisbury) Clark.
She was married to Norton Ingalls on June 25, 1932 and together they operated a poultry farm business near Lambs Corners. They retired and sold the farm in 1966, when they built a new home.
Surviving are a daughter, Roberta Ingalls of Cheyenne, WY; a son, David and wife Arlene of Medusa; two grandsons, Michael Duncan (Jennifer) of Medusa and Mark Duncan (Megan) of Rensselaer; three great-grandchildren, Cody, Emily and Scott Duncan; and longtime friends and caregivers Willie and Gaye McCafferty.
Her husband predeceased her.
As to her wishes, services will be at the convenience of the family and she will be buried next to her husband in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Ashland.

Rose E. (Heimbauer) Mutke, 85, of Stony Point, formerly of Freehold, died Monday, January 15, at Nyack Hospital.
She was born in Brooklyn August 22, 1921.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Keith R. Albert, and a grandson, Gregory K. Albert, all of Stony Point; her sister, Joan Ockovic of Lake Ronkonkoma; and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Edwin G. Mutke, predeceased her on May 22, 2004.
Graveside services are Friday, January 19 at noon in the Greenville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Francis Payne

Francis “Frank” Payne, 77, of Greenville Center, died at his home on Sunday, January 14.
He was born in Albany, November 6, 1929, the son of the late Francis J. and Elizabeth (Baumis) Payne.
Frank served in the Army and was a retiree of Clifford B. Hannay and Sons in Westerlo.
Frank played the button accordion, harmonica and spoons, and sang with the Squeeze-Play Accordion Band and The Good Old Boys, playing locally for many years. He was frequently seen in the summer at the Greenville gazebo.
Surviving are two sons, Gerald Payne and Glenn (Payne (Denise), and two granddaughters, Stephanie and Ashley Payne, all of Freehold; and two sisters, Patty Wagoner (Carl) of Wells River, VT, and Betty LaChapalle of Green Island.
He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Leta (German) Payne, in 2005, and a brother, Richard Payne.
Funeral services are today, January 18, at 11am from Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 Route 81, Greenville.
Interment is in the Freehold Cemetery.

Mary M. (Staple) Sledzianowski, 79, of Feura Bush, died Saturday, January 13 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Mt. Aire January 20, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Edith (Palmateer) Staples.
She was a 1945 graduate of the Newburgh Free Academy. She enjoyed playing bingo.
Surviving are her husband, Frank Sledzianowski Sr.; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Frank Sledzianowski Jr. of Feura Bush, Walter Sledzianowski of Troy and Frederick and Rose Sledzianowski of Catskill; three daughters, Peggy Sledzianowski of Cairo, Bernice Jordan of Feura Bush and Deborah Sledzianowski of Troy, two brothers, Fred Staples of New Windsor and Walter Staples of Newburgh; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces a, nephews and cousins.
Three brothers, John, Hamilton and Calvin Staples, and four sisters, Winifred Banon, Edith Jenkins, Ruth Goldman and Bernice Staples, predeceased her.
Calling hours are today, January 18, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at W.C. Brady’s Sons Funeral Home, 97 Mansion Street, Coxsackie.
A funeral services is at 8pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Carolyn Lewis of the Second Reformed Church of Coxsackie officiating.
Private cremation takes place Friday at the Albany Rural Crematory, Menands.

Frederick C. Brown, 87, of Oak Hill, died suddenly at his home in Oak Hill on Monday, January 22.
He was born in Akron, OH, on November 13, 1919, the son of the late William and Sara (Copenhaver) Brown.
Fred was a veteran who served 30 years of active and inactive duty in the Navy and was retired in 1974. He also was employed at the US Post Office in Colonie for several years.
Fred was a member of the Durham Valley Post #1416 American Legion and the Durham Ambulance Squad.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn M. (Goeller) Brown; a daughter, Nancy J. Clark of Daytona Beach, FL; two sisters, Annie Wilson and Lavenia Lowey; a brother, Edmund Brown; and three grandchildren, Karen, David and Paul Clark.
Funeral and committal service is at 1pm Friday, January 26, from Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 Route 81, Greenville. Calling precedes the service from 11:30am to 1pm.
Interment is in the Oak Hill Cemetery.

Zelda B. Burdhardt, 67, of Coxsackie, died Monday, January 15 at St. Peter’s Hospice, Albany, after a long illness.
She was born in Catskill April 25, 1939, the daughter of the late LaVerne and Alberta (Clouter) Smith.
Zelda was a teller for the National Bank of Coxsackie for more than 34 years.
A 1856 graduate of Coxsackie-Athens High School, she was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Coxsackie and treasurer of the United Women’s group.
She was an animal lover and enjoyed cooking and baking.
Survivors include a son, Michael Burghardt and wife Lisa of Wyantskill; a daughter, Tracy Karlin and husband Lindsay of Saratoga Springs; a sister, Sarah Jane Smith of Coxsackie; and several cousins.
Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.

Eric R. Grunwald, 86, of Westerlo, died Wednesday, January 17 after a brief illness.
Born in Hoboken, NJ, May 24, 1920, he was the son of the late Erich and Mathilda (Krokock) Grunwald.
He was a World War II Navy veteran who served aboard the USS Lap Wing.
An electrician, he was a 50-year member of IBEW in Harriman. He also was a member of the Hiawatha Grange 1480, past president and trustee of the Hilltown Seniors, a Hilltowns Community Resource Center food pantry volunteer and a member of Greenville American Legion Post 291.
Surviving are his wife, Toni (Monaco) Grunwald; five children, Ricky Grunwald (Shirley) and Jeanne Hanson (Robert) of Walton, Michael Grunwald (Eileen) of Northfield, MA, John Grunwald (Donna) of South Westerlo and Eileen Hallock of Amsterdam; a sister, Matilda Magenta (Alfred); two brothers, Normal Grunwald (Margaret) and Ernest Grunwald; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Karen L. Jarozewski, 79, of Greenville, died at Eden Park Health Care Center in Catskill on Saturday, January 6.
She was born in Sweden January 21, 1927.

A Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 11am Saturday, January 27 at St. John the Baptist Church of Greenville. Interment follows in the Greenville Cemetery.

Evah Mack

Evah Jane (Deyo) Mack, 82, of Greenville, died on Thursday, January 18 at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn, Albany.
She was born in Cairo September 6, 1924, the daughter of the late Frank and Genevieve (Townley) Deyo.
Evah was a lifelong homemaker and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her husband, Philip Mack; her children, Carol (Tussie) (Goff) Wilsey and husband Don of Latham, Sandy Goff of Albany, Sidney Goff of Oak Hill, Sharon (Goff) Donnelly of Earlton, Phyllis (Mack) Morehouse of Glenmont, Linda Mack of Greenville and Dan Mack and wife Jane of Ghent; a brother, Garfield Deyo of Medway; a sister, Geraldine barber of Scotia; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are at the convenience of the family and are under the direction of Cunningham Funeral Home, Greenville.

Victor Simcik

Victor James Simcik of Cairo, died at home on Wednesday, January 17, three months after being diagnosed with brain cancer. He was 69.
He was born in Chicago on September 21, 1937. Soon afterward his family relocated to Coxsackie, where he grew up enjoying small town life and the great outdoors.
Mr. Simcik was a skilled carpenter, mostly self-taught, who learned all aspects of the building trade from his youth on. An astute learner, he excelled in engineering design and the physical rigors of construction. He held general contractor licenses in both New York and Massachusetts. He loved masonry, early American architecture and never considered personal home building projects complete unless the property was properly landscaped.
He prided himself on a job well done and for this he earned an excellent reputation for quality construction, having worked in Greene, Ulster, Dutchess and Albany counties and on Martha Vineyard.
For more than 40 years, Mr. Simcik applied his expertise to countless volunteer projects of Jehovah’s Witnesses, from assisting with the construction of the branch facility in Wallkill, where he lived and worked in the late 1960’s, to participating in post hurricane reconstruction projects in Jamaica and Puerto Rico in the 1980s and ‘90s.
He recently oversaw the construction of the local Kingdom Hall on County Route 67 in South Cairo this past summer. On many building projects he was involved in construction planning and site work and served as a contact for building inspectors and other public service professionals. He took keen personal interest in those wanting to learn the trades and never hesitated to patiently work alongside them. His volunteer efforts brought him much joy.
Throughout his life he remained intensely devoted to his faith, family and friends.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Jane Simcik; three children, Amy Simcik Williams of Vineyard Haven, MA, Jonathan Simcik of Oak Bluffs, MA, and Rachel Simcik of Manhattan; and his granddaughter, Roselyn Williams.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, February 24 at 2pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in South Cairo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cairo Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, PO Box 434, Hudson 12534, c/o John Barford.

Frank Van Ness

Frank “Pep” Van Ness, 88, a resident of West Coxsackie since 1980 and a former longtime resident of Athens Village, died Saturday, January 6 at his home.
Interment with full military honors will be in Saratoga National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
The family has requested memorial donations in Frank’s name be made to the Eastern Blind Rehabilitation Center 124, VA Connecticut Health Care, 950 Campbell Avenue, West Haven, CT 06516; Attn: Service Chief of the Stratton VA Medical Center, 113 Holland Avenue, Albany 12208, Volunteer Services or the Federated Church of Athens on Franklin Street.
