CHARLOTTE B. STARK

Albany – Charlotte (Ingersoll) Wagner Stark, 72, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2009 at St. Peter’s Nursing & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Somers Point, NJ, the daughter of the late Lewis Allen Ingersoll and Pauline Charlotte (Clark) Ingersoll.

She had lived in Athens, NY for many years before moving to Albany.  She was a 1958 graduate of Glassboro State College in NJ with her teaching degree, and a 1983 graduate of Maria College in Albany, NY with her RN degree.  She was social worker in Baltimore, MD; an elementary school teacher at Mantua Township School in NJ; a head nurse at Eden Park Nursing Home in Catskill, NY, and she also worked as an RN at surrounding area hospitals such as Columbia Memorial and Albany Medical Center.  She was an avid reader, loved gardening, sewing, crocheting, knitting and embroidery.  She was a member of the NYS Nurses Association and founder/leader of the Coxsackie Boomerangs 4-H Club.

She was predeceased by her first husband, William Martin Wagner, her second husband, Nicholas S. Stark, her beloved son, William Martin Wagner, Jr. and her brother Johnny Ingersoll.  Survivors are her children Paula (Wagner) Mueller (Norman), Barry Wagner (Patricia), Jeffrey Wagner (Michelle); her grandchildren Amie Wilson, Jenna Wilson, Lewis Wagner, Megan Wagner, Angel Wagner and Bryce Wagner; and her siblings Geraldine Goodwin, Lewis Ingersoll, Raymond Ingersoll, Clark Ingersoll and Cynthia Ingersoll. 

Charlotte graciously donated her remains to the Anatomical Gift Program of Albany Medical College.  A private memorial service will be held in the future.  For those who wish, memorial contributions can be made to Community Hospice of Albany County, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205; St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation, 319 South Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sopris-Murray Funeral Home, Greenville, NY.

JAMES L. CLARK SR.

James L. Clark, Sr. 71, of Coxsackie, entered eternal life Thursday, May 21, 2009 at home surrounded by his family.  Jim served in the Navy from January 1956 to October 1959.  During his service as a Boatswain Mate and rescue swimmer, Jim received a commendation for heroic actions in saving the life of a fellow Navy man after a plane crashed near the USS New, the destroyer on which he served.

Jim attended Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk School, worked in maintenance at Lafarge, was a member of the Coxsackie United Methodist Church, a Master Carpenter, an avid camper and enjoyed gardening and reading.

Survivors include his wife Ruth Anne Millett Clark of Coxsackie; sisters, Mabel Boehlke of New Baltimore and Grace Covey of El Cajon, California;  children and grandchildren, James L. Clark, Jr. (Jonathan Marston) and daughter-in-law Beth A. Clark (Jim Van Wagner) of Coxsackie and their children, Courtney and Gregory, Jodi D. (Howard) Mayforth of Athens and their children, Elizabeth, David and Christopher and Jon T. Clark and his children, Faathyma,  Jon Jr. and Jacob; and his beloved dog, Cassie.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Mary and James Clark and sister Millie Carpinello.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 26, at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena.  Contributions in memory of Jim may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the United Methodist Church of Coxsackie or Community Hospice of Columbia/ Greene.
