WALTRAUD C. “TRUDY” ARMSTRONG
East Durham – Mrs. Waltraud C. “Trudy” Armstrong, 71, passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany after a long illness. Trudy was born in Kamen, Germany, and came to America at age 16 with her family. They lived in Nebraska and Manhattan before settling in Cornwallville. She and her husband have resided on Shady Glen Road for over 30 years. In earlier years Trudy worked as a cook in the Cairo-Durham Schools. More recently she was a homemaker and devoted Bingo player. Trudy was a member of the Eastern Star, Susquehanna Methodist Church and the Town of Durham Volunteer Ambulance Squad.
Trudy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Herbert J. Armstrong; two children, Deborah (Kevin) Maikis and David (Maureen) Armstrong; four grandchildren, Troy, Heidi, Amy and Adam; many nieces and nephews. Trudy was predeceased by her parents, George and Erna Neuman Heidemann, and her brother, Helmut Heidemann.
Calling hours were held at Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville, on Tuesday, March 10 from 7 until 9 p.m. The funeral was on Wednesday March 11 at 10 a.m. at Cunningham Funeral Home, followed by burial in Cornwallville Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Town of Durham Volunteer Ambulance Squad, 1 Milk Run Road, East Durham, NY 12423 will be appreciated.

PEGGY ANN PARKS BULEN
Peggy Bulen, 63, formerly of Greenville, New York, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2009, at her home in Garden Grove, California.
She was born in Catskill, New York, the daughter of John C. Parks and Elizabeth (Jansen) Parks.
She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Parks of Athens; her sister, Shirley Cameron of Greenville; and her brother, John Parks of Oregon; and many nieces and nephews and the love of her life, Buddy Anderson.
She was predeceased by her beloved father, John C. Parks; and a niece, Deborah Lake.
Arrangements were with Heritage Memorial of Huntington Beach, California.
Rest in peace, “sweet sissy.”

LELAND D. OSTERHOUT
Leland D. Osterhout, 85, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. Leland was a lifelong resident of Ravena.
He was a Navy veteran serving during WWII. Along with his brother and son, Leland owned and operated H. C. Osterhout & Son, which was started by his grandfather in 1930. Leland enjoyed camping at Fish Creek, bowling and woodworking.
Leland was predeceased by his wife Bernice Osterhout. Survivors include his children, Paul D. (Jane) Osterhout and Susan L. (Jim) Pietropaoli both of Ravena; brother, Lawrene Osterhout of Coeymans Hollow; grandchildren, Teresa VanAlstyne of Selkirk, Lisa Krug of Buffalo, Scott Osterhout of Ravena and Laura Pietropaoli of Feura Bush; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held privately under the direction of the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Burial was in Chestnut Lawn Cemetery, New Baltimore, New York. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Leland may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205

EVELYN M. DALY
Evelyn M. Daly, 86, of Medway, New York, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009.
Evelyn was born in Jewett on February 6, 1923 and moved to the Coxsackie area in 1941 where she worked at American Valve in Coxsackie. In later years, she worked for New York State at the Albany campus and retired after 30 years of service. After her retirement she became the town clerk of New Baltimore working out of her home office for many more years. She then stopped working to devote her life to her family and her husband Tom of 67 years at their home in Medway. Evelyn then had time to enjoy her sewing, gardening, needlework, birds and her loyal companion Daisy.
She was a member of the Medway Congregational Christian Church where she served as a Sunday School superintendent for years and was also a member of the church consistory. Evelyn was also a co-founder of the Medway-Grapeville Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and remained active. Evelyn was well known for her baked beans that she continued to supply for the Election Day dinner. Evelyn assisted her husband Tom with the girl’s softball team, the Pink Panthers by making all of the uniforms for the players and attending the games as an avid supporter.
She was predeceased by her husband Tom who passed away in June 2007. She was also predeceased by her brother William Finch and two brothers-in-law, Frank Swan and Lon Boehlke.
She is survived by two daughters, Catherine (Daly) Frank and husband Robert of Coxsackie, Margaret (Peggy Daly) Snyder and husband Paul of West Athens; five grandchildren, Donald Frank and Jennifer of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, Heidi McGarry and Brian of Kingston, Patrick Frank and Erin of Kingston, Bridget (Snyder) Sutta and Joshua of Palatka, Florida, SSgt. Thomas Snyder and Rena of 29 Palms, California; four-great-grandchildren, Charles and Abigail Frank of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, Amanda Frank of Kingston, Dylan Snyder of California; and her beloved dog, Daisy.
Also surviving are her sisters, Betty (Finch) Boehlke of Latham, Ruth (Finch) Swan of Coxsackie, Marion(Finch) Schwebler of Hannacroix, Dorothy (Finch) Britton of Selkirk, Agnes Finch of Coxsackie; brothers, Alan Finch of Coxsackie and Edward Finch of East Greenbush; and cherished nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews and friends.
Calling hours were at the W.C. Brady’s Sons Funeral Home, 97 Mansion St., Coxsackie on Tuesday, March 24. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Richard Pruiksma officiated. Internment followed at Medway Congregational Christian Church Cemetery, Route 26, Medway. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Medway-Grapeville Volunteer Fire Company. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

CRAIG M. VOSBURGH
Craig M. Vosburgh, age 18 years, of Coeymans, passed away March 16, 2009. Craig was born October 3, 1990, in Hudson, New York.
Craig is a graduate of Greenville High School. His hobbies included playing the guitar, video games, motor cross racing and motorcycling.
At the time of his death, Craig was employed at The Flach Construction Company of Coxsackie.
He is survived by his mother, Melissa A. Porter of Earlton and stepfather David; and his father, Glenn Vosburgh of Coeymans.
Besides his parents, Craig is survived by his paternal grandfather Wayne Vosburgh of Saugerties, paternal grandmother, Jeanne A. Cary of Florida, paternal great-grandmother Jeanne L. Cary of Coxsackie, maternal grandmother Robin Durlack of Arkansas, and maternal grandfather Anthony Rufo of North Carolina. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service took place on Monday, March 23, at the W.C. Brady’s Sons Inc.
Funeral Home, 97 Mansion Street, Coxsackie. Funeral service took place at the funeral home at 5:30 p.m. with Rev. Fr. John Moyna, Pastor of The St. Mary’s Church in Coxsackie, officiating. Private cremation took place at The Albany Rural Crematorium in Menands.
