John W. Jennings
John W. Jennings, 89 years, of South Cairo, New York, formerly of Greenville, New York, South Westerlo, New York and Barefoot Bay, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on June 5, 2003. He was born in Medusa, New York on February 26, 1914, son of the late Aaron and Jean (Farquhar) Jennings.
John served his country during WW II in the U. S. Army 439th Bomb Squadron serving in Rome-Arno, the North Appennines, the Southern France and the Balkan Campaigns. He was awarded the American Theater Ribbon, the European African Middle Eastern Ribbon with four Bronze Stars, the Distinguished Unit Badge with one Bronze cluster and two Overseas Service Bars. He was also awarded the Croix de Guerre by the President of France. John had also passed the Glider Training Course. He was discharged in 1945 as a Cpl.
He was a farmer and in charge of maintenance at Shepard’s Farm in Greenville, New York until his retirement. After moving to Florida he worked at John’s Island Golf Course in Vero Beach. John was also a former member of the Greenville Vol. Fire Co. The Westerlo Vol. Fire Co., the Westerlo Vol. Fire Co. and the Greenville American Legion Post No. 291. He will also be remembered as a longtime avid Atlanta Braves fan.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 58 years, Roberta (Roe) Jennings; two sons, Richard McAneny of Jefferson Heights, New York, John (Jody) Jennings of Citrus, California; two daughters Sandra Gottehrer of Clifton Park, New York, Susan Jennings of East Northport, New York; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Webster Jennings of East Durham, New York, Russell Jennings and Walton Jennings, both of Greenville, New York; also nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Thomas Jennings, a granddaughter, Robbin Gottehrer Graf and two sisters, Wilhelmina “Billie” Yeomans and Dorothea Mahoney.
Funeral service will be Sunday, 2 p.m. from the Cunningham Funeral Home 4898 SR 81, Greenville, New York. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Greenville Cemetery. Those who desire may contribute in his memory to the Columbia-Greene Community Hospice.

Ross J. Kruppenbacher
Ross J. Kruppenbacher, 55 years, of Oak Hill, New York, passed away suddenly at the Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, New York on June 8, 2003. He was born September 19, 1947, son of the late Joseph and Viola (Poultney) Kruppenbacher.
Ross was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Marine Corps and was a member of the Tri-Town Memorial Post VFW. He was an electrician working for CSXT out of Selkirk railroad yard.
Surviving are his wife Darlene Hood; a son, Ross J, Kruppenbacher, Jr. of East Durham, New York; two daughters, Sybil A. Kruppenbacher of Oak Hill, Sara B. Donato of East Durham; three grandchildren, Cheyene Kruppenbacher, Dayla Beth Donato and Ashley Marie Donato; also a sister, Debra Heyl of Florida; two brothers, Andrew Kruppenbacher of Valatie, New York and Joseph Kruppenbacher of Albany; and his stepmother Helen Kruppenbacher.
As to his wishes he was cremated at the Albany Rural Cemetery and there will be no services.

Anna Vincenza Marion Eufemia
Albany, NY—Anna Vincenza Marion Eufemia, 96, formerly of 160 Creamery Road, South Westerlo, New York, went to rest June 18th at the Eden Park Nursing Care Home in Albany. Born in New York City on January 25, 1907, Anna was the daughter of the late Carmino and Lucia Marino.
Throughout her life, Anna followed the path of service to her church. As a communicant of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church since 1945, Anna was also a devoted member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Rosary Alter Society at St. John’s. She lovingly crocheted baptismal blankets for the new baptized of St. John’s parish and knitted lap robes for the shut-in’s in local hospital and nursing homes. Anna and her children, in her husband Vincent’s memory, donated the beautiful church steeple and chimes at St. John’s.
Anna’s love of life, music and especially dancing showed in her daily life. She had the ability to wrap you up in her generous smile and her “I love you’s” to all she met. Anna along with her husband, Vincent (Jim) Eufemia, opened the famous VinceAnna’s Restaurant in South Westerlo in 1945 and later another VinceAnna’s in New Jersey and Florida. Anna and Vince, along with children James, Charles and Virginia, worked side by side until his death in 1965 where upon son, James took over with his mom, Anna, and son Charles at VinceAnna’s in Florida. As a young Girl, Anna worked as a seamstress for a famous dress designer in New York City where she learned to make fancy dresses and gowns and when the time came, designed and made her daughter Virginia’s wedding gown. Anna was always eager to offer help in sharing her talents of sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed attending the luncheon’s with her senior friends at the Grange. Everyone knew Anna by her smile and concerns of others. Her love for her family and friends was always present and will never be forgotten.
A devoted mother to her children she is survived by her daughter Virginia (Eufemia) Mangold of South Westerlo and son’s Charles Eufemia of New Port Richey, Florida and James Eufemia of South Westerlo, her son-in-law, Robert Mangold and daughter-in-law Brenda Eufemia. She was the greatest Gram to Robbie, Jeffrey, Kim, Michael and PattiAnn; to Kevin, Mickey and Gina and to Teresa, Deanna, and Angela and the very best “Nonie” (Great-Gramma) to Charlie, Joseph, Sal and Sam DeTillio; to Christopher Marks,; to Sarah and Victoria Mangold; to Melissa and Robbie Mangold; to Nicholas, Ryan and Evan Mangold; to Thurman Picareli; to Jesse Clark; to Michael Eufemia-McNerney and to Danielle Eufemia.
Anna was predeceased by her loving husband, Vincent, her daughter Patricia Eufemia, her son, Joseph Eufemia, her sisters, Gertrude Caffiero and Barbara Rugard.
Funeral services were at Cunningham’s Funeral Home and a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church. Interment was at Greenville Cemetery, Greenville, New York.
Anna’s family wishes to thank the nurses and volunteers of Community Hospice of St. Peter’s Hospital and the caring nurses and aides at Eden Park Nursing Care Facility in Albany.

William Emory Goff
William Emory Goff, 86 years, of Cornwallville, New York passed away at the Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, New York on June 17, 2003. William was born in Cornwallville on April 7, 1917 son of the late Eugene W. and Laura (White) Goff. A self-educated man he was known as an excellent mechanic, carpenter, and electrician. An avid sportsman he loved the outdoors. He had formerly worked as a mechanic at the Yeoman’s Garage in Norton Hill, New York before spending three years working in Florida. His love of the Cornwallville and East Durham Area brought him back. He then operated the East Durham Garage in East Durham, New York. He was a member of the Oak Hill-Durham United Methodist Church and a life long member of the East Durham Volunteer Fire Company. His wife Elsie (Paul) Goff predeceased him in 1998.
Surviving are two sons, Brian W. Goff and his wife Rita of East Durham, New York, Steven E. Goff of Cornwallville, New York, nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a sister Maude Kwak and her husband Konwong of South Windsor, Connecticut. He was also predeceased by a son Lawrence P. Goff and two brothers, Reginald and Victor Goff.
Funeral service will be June 27, 11 AM from the Oak Hill-Durham United Methodist Church in Durham, New York. Friends may call at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 SR 81, Greenville, New York on Thursday, June 26, from 5 to 8 PM. The East Durham Volunteer Fire Company will conduct services at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 7 PM. Interment will be in the Cornwallville Cemetery. Those who desire may contribute in him memory to the Oak Hill-Durham United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, The East Durham Volunteer Fire Company or the Town of Durham Ambulance.
