THIS INDENTURE Made the nineteenth Day of Febry 1816 between John P Sherwood & Abigail his wife of the County of Oneida of the first part & Jacob H Keller of the County of Albany of the second part Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for & in Consideration of the sum of four hundred & twenty five Dollars Money of Account of the United States to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby Confessed & acknowledged have granted Bargained sold remised released aliened & Confirmed & by these presents Do grant Bargain sell remise release alien & Confirm unto the said party of the second part to his heirs & assigns forever all that Certain Piece or parcel of land situate lying & being in the Town of Cairo & County of Green being part of Lot No thirty four on Van Bergens Patent Bounded as follows  Beginning at a Stake & stones in the line of the state lands running thence north thirty Eight Degrees East twenty six Chains to a Ded pitch pine thence south forty two Degrees east forty six Chains to a stake & stones Corner to James Lenons or Peter Ensells line thence west thirty five Chains to a small Chesnut in the line of Peter Ensells land thence North forty two Degrees west Eighteen Chains to the place of Beginning Containing Eighty five Acres land be the same More or less- together with all & singular the hereditaments & appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining & the reversion & reversions remainder & remainders rents Issues & profits thereof & all the Estate Right Title Interest Claims & Demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part either in Law or Equity of in & to the above Bargained premises with the said Hereditaments & appurtenances to have & to hold the said Described premises to the said party of the second part his heirs & assigns forever & the said Parties of the first part for themselves their heirs Executors & administrators Do Covenant Grant Bargain promise & agree to & with the said party of the second part- his heirs & assigns to warrant& forever to Defend the above Bargained premises & every part thereof now being in the quiet & peaceable possession of the said party of the second part against the said parties of the first part their heirs Executors administrators & assigns & against all & every other Person or persons Claiming or to Claim the said premises or any part thereof-  In witness whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands & seals the Day & year first above written.

State of New York ss  on this 24th Day of Febr 1816 before me Rufus Pettibone Master in Chancery Came John P. Sherwood & Abigail his wife the grantor within named & Described to me Well known & acknowledged the within Indenture to be their free Act &Deed & the said Abigail on a separate Examination apart from her husband acknowledged that she Executed the said Indenture freely & Voluntarily without any fear or Compulsion of her said husband  I finding no material alteration in the same let it be Recorded-
