Athens - Mark Edward Myers, 36, of Athens , died suddenly March 30, 2007 at Columbia Memorial Hospital .  

Born in Catskill on Oct. 11, 1970, he was the son of Janice (Wormuth) and the late Harry B. Myers.  

Mark was a member of the Federated Church of Athens and had attended Coxsackie-Athens Central Schools.  

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister Michelle Jackson and a niece Aleana Myers, both of Athens .  

Calling hours will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home, 139 Jefferson Heights , Catskill.  

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Jerrie Shepard Matney officiating.  

Interment will follow in the New Athens Rural Cemetery .  

The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Federated Church of Athens.  

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Sopris-Murray Funeral Home, Greenville .

Hunter - Grace Hadranyi, 90, died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Kingston Hospital , after a brief illness.

Born March 24, 1917 in Glendale , Long Island , she was the daughter of the late Steven Z. and Anna F.

Mrs. Hadranyi was a former New York City model and secretary.

She left New York City in 1945, and moved to Lanesville where she raised her family.

Mrs. Hadranyi and her husband, Albert, ran the Notch Inn, a boarding house, for many years. Later, she also helped run Steve’s Campsites Inc.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Hadranyi of Muncie , Ind. ; a son, Steven Hadranyi of Lanesville; three nephews, Donald Biasko of Ghent , Ronald Margittay of Crystal , Minn. and Richard Margittay of Dearborn , Mich. ; and a niece, Renee Wielt of Marco Island, Fla.

She was predeceased by and her husband, Albert B; a sister, Lillian; and five cousins.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday at the Aston-Basagic Funeral Home, Main Street , Hunter.

A simple graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Astoria , Queens .

Athens - Mark Edward Myers, 36, of Athens , died suddenly Friday, March 30, 2007, at Columbia Memorial Hospital .  

Born Oct. 11, 1970 in Catskill, he was the son of Janice Wormuth and the late Harry B. Myers.  

He was a member of the Federated Church of Athens and had attended Coxsackie-Athens Central Schools.  

In addition to his mother, survivors include his sister, Michelle Jackson and niece Aleana Myers, both of Athens ; and his life partner, Melissa Hines and her son, John Merritt.  

Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home, 139 Jefferson Heights , Catskill.  

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerrie Shepard Matney officiating.  

Interment will follow in the New Athens Rural Cemetery .

GREENVILLE – Kathleen “Kay” Gombar, 79, of Greenville , formerly of Commack, died Monday, April 2, 2007, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany .  

Born Nov. 12, 1927 in the Bronx , she was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Bridget Lyons Bourke.  

Mrs. Gombar moved to Norton Hill in 1968, and worked at the Greene County Personnel Department in Catskill, retiring in 1989. She also worked at Greenville Central School as a teacher’s aid.  

An avid bowler and golfer, she bowled in the Golden Age Leagues I and II, and assisted her husband with the administration of the American Legion Golf League for 17 years.  

She was also an active member of the Greenville American Legion Post 291 Ladies Auxiliary.  

Mrs. Gombar also enjoyed reading.  

Survivors include her husband of 21 years, Charles Gombar; two step sons and daughter-in-law, Charles T. and Felice Gombar of Westchester, Pa. and Robert C. and Sally Gombar of Annapolis, Md.; two brothers, Thomas J. and Edward E. Bourke; a sister, Anne Meehan-Reilly; four step grandchildren, Theresa, Julia, Robert and Jennifer Gombar; 21 nieces and nephews; and many grand nieces and nephews.  

She was predeceased by her first husband, Daniel McQuillan, in 1981; a sister, Beatrice Renner; two brothers, John and Patrick Bourke; and a step grandson, Brian Gombar.

Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Cunningham Funeral Home, state Route 81, Greenville.  

Services will be held 10:15 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with a Liturgy of the Word and the Rite of Farewell 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Knock Shrine in East Durham .  

Interment will be in the Greenville Cemetery .

Coral L. (Curly) Barkdull

Catskill - Coral L. (Curly) Barkdull, 77, died April 2, 2007 at Columbia Memorial Hospital after a long illness.  

Born Nov. 9, 1929 in Catskill, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Rose Dykeman.  

Mrs. Barkdull worked as a dressmaker, seamstress and in many other aspects of the clothing industry. Her passion, as many will remember, was Bingo and she would play as many nights as she could.  

She is survived by her husband, Edward Barkdull; four sons, Eddie Dykeman, Edward (Mike) Briethaupt and his wife Stephanie Clearwater-Breithaupt, John Breithaupt and Jay Breithaupt; eight grandchildren, John Dykeman, Eddie Dykeman, Kevin Dykeman, Charlene Dykeman, Angela Schoonmaker-Hoose, Elaine Schoonmaker, John Briethaupt, Jr. and Jeremy Breithaupt; several great-grandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild.  She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her sisters Clara, Lila, Doris and Elizabeth; and brother Donald.

Mrs. Barkdull will be remembered as a wonderful, loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend.

Funeral services will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Richards Funeral Home, 29 Bross Street , Cairo , with the Rev. Retta Lykens officiating.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Interment will be in the Catskill Town Cemetery .

Cairo - Janet T. Moran, 66, of Eastview Garden Apartments, Cairo died March 31, 2007 at the Peninsula Hospital in New York City.  

Mrs. Moran was born in New York City on Sept. 5, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie (Desuab) Pelikan.  

During her lifetime, Mrs. Moran was employed as a secretary for an architect firm in New York City .  

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James J. Moran, Jr.  

A prayer service will be recited at the Richards Funeral Home, 29 Bross Street, Cairo, on Thursday, April 5, 2007, at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Father Jeremiah Nunan, pastor of the Sacred Heart Church of Cairo officiating.  

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours at the Richards Funeral Home, 29 Bross Street , Cairo on Thursday, April 5, 2007 from 2 to 5 p.m.

Interment will take place on Friday, April 6, 2007 at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery , 200 Duell Road , Schuylerville.

Brian L. Tourjee

Coxsackie - Brian L. Tourjee, 57, of Athens , died April 2, 2007 at his residence.

Brian was born in Catskill, Oct. 28, 1949, and was the son of the late Theodore and Jessie (Saunders) Tourjee.  

He was a 1967 graduate of Coxsackie-Athens Central School and attended Clarkson University . He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1970 to 1974 and was honorably discharged. Brian received an associate's degree from the Florida Institute of Technology.  

He is survived by several cousins.  

There will be no calling hours as per his wishes.  

Private cremation will take place today at the Albany Rural Crematory, Menands.  

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the W. C. Brady's Sons Inc. Funeral Home, 97 Mansion St. , Coxsackie.

Catskill – Elizabeth Lazar Posser, 73, of Catskill, died Tuesday, April 3 at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston following a long illness.  

She was born on May 31, 1933 in Manhattan to the late John and Anna Bardar Lazar.  She graduated from high school and was lastly employed as a secretary with New York State Bureau of Equalization and Assessment in Albany .  

Miss Posser was always proud to have been the third woman to walk onto the floor of the New York Stock Exchange when that was first allowed in the early 1950s.  

She is survived by her four children: Allison Posser of Catskill with whom she resided, Elizabeth Lamoraux of Delaware, Howard Posser of Elmont, N.Y., and Douglas Posser of Florida; as well as two granddaughters, Rochelle Posser of Florida and Nora Sanson of Maryland and sister Mary Lazar Eckert, in addition to three nephews, Brian, John and Mark Eckert.  

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 10 at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Catskill at 11:15 a.m. with the Rev. Jeremiah Nunan, pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Cairo officiating.

Private cremation will be conducted following the Mass at the Albany Rural Crematorium.

Friends and relatives are invited to call at the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home at 139 Jefferson Heights in Catskill on Monday, April 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Greenville – James Van Voorhis, 62, of Altamont, formerly of Preston Hollow, died April 3, 2007 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany .

Born in Catskill on Sept. 29, 1944, he was the son of Evelyn ( Sanford ) and the late Robert Van Voorhis.

He was the owner of the Van Voorhis Trucking and Excavating in Altamont and a member of the Operating and Engineers Local 106 for more than 40 years.

He was a member of the Voorheesville Rod and Gun Club, and the Preston Hollow Baptist Church .

He was an avid hunter, and enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, Harley Davidson motorcycles and going to NASCAR races.

He was very family-oriented and enjoyed traveling.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three sons, Jeffrey VanVoorhis (Susan) of Pennsylvania, James VanVoorhis Jr. (Sherry) of Preston Hollow and Matthew VanVoorhis (Don Smith) of  Westerlo; three grandchildren, Timothy,  Amy and Kaci VanVoorhis; brother, Carl VanVoorhis (Carla) of Pennsylvania; sister, Sharon Chichester (Bruce) of Harriman; niece, Danielle Van Voorhis; nephews, Jason VanVoorhis, and Brian, Michael and Shawn Chichester; his loving partner of 20 years, Betty Walk; and his extended family, Timothy Lamitie (Amy); David Lamitie (Teri) , Chuck Lamitie (Lisa), Nancy Lamitie; and grandchildren, Max, Langston, Alison and Dashiel.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cunningham Funeral Home, Greenville .

Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 p.m.

Interment will be in the Brookside Cemetery . Those who desire may contribute in his memory to the Preston Hollow Baptist Church or the Altamont Rescue Squad.

Margaret ‘Peg’ Venable

Greenville – Margaret “Peg” (Kelly) Venable, 89, of Old Plank Road Greenville , died in her sleep April 3, 2007 at Maria Regina Residence in Brentwood .

Born Sept. 22, 1917 in Brooklyn , she was the second of six children born of Mary McDermot and Joseph Kelly.

She attended Mercy High School and worked as a secretary until her retirement.

She was the loving wife for 67 years of Ed, who predeceased her in 2005.

Peg and Ed raised their family and were loyal and active parishioners of St. Raymond Church in East Rockaway, and of St. John the Baptist in Greenville after their retirement to the mountains.

Peg was also a member of the Rosary Society and Altar Society.

Despite being physically limited by Parkinson’s Disease in her last years, Peg’s beauty came from the heart and showed through her eyes and gentle smile.

Peg is survived by her sister, Dorothy Meuchner of Brooklyn; daughter, Kathleen Venable of Center Moriches;' sons, Dick and wife Judy of Connecticut, Gary and wife Maryellen of Rhode Island, and Tom and wife Peg of Walden; seven granddaughters, Maria Loayza, Carolyn Albers, Michele Venable, Kathleen Venable, Colleen A. Venable, Colleen L. Venable and Kimberly Venable; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by an infant daughter, Regina ; sisters, Marian, Eileen and Therese; and brother, James.

Funeral service will be 9:30 a.m. April 10 from the Cunningham Funeral Home, Greenville , with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church .

Calling hours will be 4 to 7:30 p.m. April 9 at the funeral home.

Interment will be 3 p.m. April 10 in St. Charles Cemetery .

Catskill – Ruth Crooks Hobbs, 88, of Catskill, formerly of Hudson , died April 2 at Kaaterskill Care Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she had been a patient since Dec. 18, 2003.

Born in Elyria , Ohio on Jan. 11, 1919 to the late Earl and Emma Uhle Crooks.

She graduated from the Elmira Free Academy and earned a bachelors degree from Elmira College .

She was a past-president and member of the Binghamton Junior League, member of the Kingston Junior League, past-president and board member of the Kingston 's Children Home, and a member of the Kingston Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, William H. Hobbs of Catskill; two daughters, Deborah Kelly of Kingston and Susan Lawson of Connecticut ; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sisters and her husband, William Hobbs in 1986.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14 at 2 p.m. in the Remembrance Chapel of the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home, 139 Jefferson Heights, Catskill, with Rev. Diana Freeman, Rector of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church officiating.

Private cremation will be at the Hurley Cemetery .

Greenville – Maria Langenstein, 97, of Norton Hill, N.Y. died at St. Peter’s Hospital on April 4, 2007. She was born in Germany on Feb. 10, 1910.

A lifelong dairy farmer, she purchased Hill Top Farm in 1945 and was predeceased by her first husband Peter Mosksimov in 1959. A lover of all animals she also enjoyed planting and taking care of her flower gardens. A hard· working dairy farmer, she will be missed by her friends and extended family.

Surviving are her husband Cherubin “Joe” Langenstein, her nieces and nephews, Irmgard Quinn (Vincent) of Seaford, N.Y., Elizabeth McCarthy (John) of Vashon, Wash., Frank Kohlroser (Alicia) of Astoria, N.Y., Susan DeThomas (Alfred) of Cairo, N.Y., Rudolph Kohlroser (Mary) of West Islip, N.Y., Linda Peltier (Richard) of Setauket, N.Y., Lillian York (Gary), 13 great-nieces and nephews, two great-great-nieces and nephews and her dear friends Ralph and Rosemary Sivillo, Kelly Albers, Janice Sivillo and Dorothy Austin.

She was predeceased by an infant sister Irmgard and three brothers, Joseph Mayr and Franz and Rudolf Kohlroser.

Service will be Saturday, April 7, at 4 p.m. at the Cunningham Funeral Home, Greenville , N.Y.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the service.

New Bern , N.C. – Gael “Roseanne” Dooley Lippert, 65, of Sextant Count and formerly of Saugerties, died suddenly Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at the Craven Regional Medical Center , New Bern , NC .

Born August 12, 1941 in Yonkers , New York , Mrs. Lippert was the daughter of the late Thomas Brendan and Meryl Harley Dooley.

She was a volunteer at the River Bend Red Caboose Library, as a guide at the Tryron Place Historical Site, and a member of the River Bend Garden Club, all in New Bern , N.C. She was an avid reader and traveler of historic sites and national parks. She enjoyed collecting bunnies, Hummel figurines and teapots.

Survivors include her husband, Egon Lippert, with whom she recently celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary; one son, William Lippert of Lyon, France; one daughter, Gabrielle Livingston of Greensboro, NC; two brothers, Brendan Dooley of Vero Beach, FL and John D. Dooley of Saugerties; one grandson, Evan Livingston of Greensboro, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Benjamin.

Her funeral procession will form at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. at the corner of John and Lafayette Streets, Saugerties and thence to St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church where at 11: 15 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by the Rev. Msgr. William Williams, Pastor.

Interment will follow in the Blue Mountain Cemetery , Saugerties , NY .

Catskill - John F. Nardo, 87, of Catskill, and former Coxsackie resident, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson .

He was born October 30, 1919 in Catskill, the son of the late Domenick and Mary (Simone) Nardo.

John served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was an employee of the Berkshire School for Boys prior to his retirement. John was a communicant at St. Mary’s Church in Coxsackie and St. Patrick’s Church in Catskill. He was a member of the Athens Rivertown Senior Citizens.

John was predeceased by his former wife Rita Nardo on July 31, 1975; two sisters, Mary Ricci and Antoinette Nardo; and two brothers, James Nardo and Joseph Nardo.

Mr. Nardo is survived by his wife of over 27 years, Mrs. Antoinette M. Nardo of Catskill, a son, William Nardo of Hudson; three step-sons, Chester Palumbo of Newmalle, Mo., Dominick Palumbo of Ashtabula, Ohio, Joseph Palumbo of Charlotte, N.C.; a step-daughter, Nina Palumbo of Bridgeton, Mo., ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at Traver & McCurry Funeral Home, 234 Jefferson Heights, Catskill, on Sunday, April 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridge Street, Catskill. Rev. John Moyna will be officiating.  

Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Catskill.

Saugerties – Elmer Winnie, 74, of Fiero Road , died Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at the Kingston City Hospital . Kingston , N. Y. after a brief illness.

Born April 25, 1932 in Saugerties , N.Y. he was the son of the late Leroy and Lena Whitney Winnie.

An area resident for many years, he was employed early in life at Knaust Brothers and Shorty Berzal’s Mushroom Industries. He then went to work for the Ulster County Highway Department where he worked for 31 years retiring in 1994.

Survivors include three brothers: Hyland of Saugerties, Herbert of Hurley and Ransom Winnie of Ulster Park, N.Y. Five sisters: Beatrice Koslowski of Port Ewen, Maude Winnie of Delaware, Florence Vedder of Malden on Hudson, Estella VanBuren of Ulster Park, and Olive Schuman of Kingston. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was predeceased by sisters: Evelyn Palen and Eleanor Winnie and brother: Melvin Winnie.

His funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., corner of John and Lafayette Streets with the Rev. Paul Mengle officiating.

Interment will be in the Blue Mountain Cemetery .

Greenville – Maria Langenstein, 97, of Norton Hill, N.Y. died at St. Peter's Hospital on April 4, 2007.

She was born in Germany on Feb. 10, 1910.

A life-long dairy farmer, she purchased Hill Top Farm in 1945 and was predeceased by her first husband Peter Mosksimov in 1959. A lover of all animals, she also enjoyed planting and taking care of her flower gardens. A hard-working dairy farmer, she will be missed by her friends and extended family.

Surviving are her husband Cherubin “Joe” Langenstein, her nieces and nephews, Irmgard Quinn (Vincent) of Seaford , N.Y. , Elizabeth McCarthy (John) of Vashon , Wash. , Frank Kohlroser (Alicia)

of Astoria, N.Y., Susan DeThomas (Alfred) of Cairo, N.Y., Rudolph Kohlroser (Mary) of West Islip, N.Y., Linda Peltier (Richard) of Setauket, N.Y., Lillian York (Gary), 13 great-nieces and nephews, two great-greatnieces and nephews and her dear friends Ralph and Rosemary Sivillo, Kelly Albers, Janice Sivillo and Dorothy Austin.

She was predeceased by an infant sister Irmgard and three brothers, Joseph Mayr and Franz and Rudolf Kohlroser.

Service will be today at 4 p.m. at the Cunningham Funeral Home, Greenville , N.Y.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the service.

Coxsackie - Robert H. Moon, 91, of Route 51, Coxsackie, died April 5, 2007, at his residence.  

He was born on Aug. 2, 1915, and was the son of the late Edwin T. and Emma F. (Powers) Moon Sr.  

Graveside services will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at the Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. Alan Baumback, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church officiating.  

Interment will follow in the family plot of the Riverside Cemetery .  

Prior to his retirement, Robert was an accountant for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.  

He is survived by his brother-and sister-in-law Donald and Eleanor Moon of West Coxsackie, and also a niece Nancy Moon of Florida , and two nephews Stuart Moon of Maryland and Joseph Moon of Vermont .  

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the W.C. Brady’s Sons Inc. Funeral Home, 97 Mansion St. , Coxsackie.  

There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.  

The day of the graveside service, everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery.

Rochester – Marie Leona (Vining) White, 91, of Rochester , formerly of East Jewett, died April 5, 2007, at the St. John's Nursing Home, Rochester .

She was born on Oct. 16, 1915 in Hensonville, the daughter of Willis and Lizzie (Mallory) Dunham.

Marie was a resident of the mountaintop for 86 years prior to moving to the Rochester area to be with her daughter, Sally. She was the former co-owner of the Crystal Spring Farm located in Hensonville. She was a member of the Maplecrest Free Methodist Church

She is survived by her children; Sally and son-in-law Miles Nelson; son Donald Vining; step-children Nancy (Richard) La Goy, Douglas (Jane) White, and Connie (Larry) Schutta; grandchildren David (Melissa) Nelson, Diane (David) Bicksler, Jeanne (Carl) Keller, James (Robyn) Vining; great-grandchildren  Ashley and Andrew Nelson, Christie and Paul Bicksler, and Jackson and Elizabeth Vining; and step-grandchildren Heather and Laurel White, and Stuart and Stephen Schutta.

She was predeceased by her husband Alfred Vining whom she was married to from 1939 until 1982, and her husband Alfred White whom she was married to from 1983 to 2002. She is also predeceased by her sister Frances Dunham and her brothers Leon and Elbert Dunham.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Decker Funeral Home, 134 Main Street , Windham . Calling hours will be noon until 2 p.m.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery , Ashland .

Catskill - Edith Katherine Sack Delp, 88, of Catskill, died Friday, April 6, 2007.

Born Oct. 21, 1918 in Mount Vernon , Westchester County , she was the daughter of the late Fred Sack and Alma Liedtke.

She moved to Coxsackie with her family at the age of 6 and married at the age of 16. She lived much of her married life on Fares Road in Ravena and later moved to Haas Hill in New Baltimore.

Mrs. Delp worked as a secretary for Main Brothers Heating Company.

She was a former member of the Coeymans Hollow Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Delp of Rensselaerville; a daughter, Karen Delp of Virginia; two granddaughters, Robin German of California and Diana Delp of Climax; three great-grandchildren, Jessica and David German of California and Lindsey Hotaling of Climax; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Wayne; a son, Ronald; a brother, William Sack; and a grandson, David.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Caswell Funeral Home, 64 Martins Hill Road , Ravena.

She was cremated privately and burial will take place at a later date

Weedsport – Cayuga County - Elizabeth S. Downing, 88, of Weedsport and formerly of Port Crane, Broome County , died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Auburn Memorial Hospital , after a brief illness.

Mrs. Downing retired from New York Telephone and was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America.

She was also a member of the Port Crane United Methodist Church and longtime member of the Sunshine Singers.

Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, William M. and Phyllis B. Spencer of Whitney Point , Broome County ; two nephews, Daniel Spencer of Endwell, Broome County and his mother, Sheryl

Geisler of Unadilla, Otsego County, and William B. Spencer of Marcellus, Onondaga County; three nieces Judith A. Spencer of Walton, Delaware County, Elaine P. Schneider Jordan, Onondaga County, and Beverly G. Curay of Jacksonville, Fla.; and 12 great-nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, William M. and Elizabeth Gorseline Spencer; her husband, Clayton Downing; a brother, Daniel V. Spencer; and a great-niece.

There will be no calling hours.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Decker Funeral Home, Ashland .

Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery .

West Camp – Richard F. Jackson, 62, of Route 9W north, died Friday, April 6, 2007, in the Samuel S. Stratton Veteran's Memorial Hospital , Albany , after a brief illness.

Born Sept. 10, 1944 in Milford , Conn. , he was the son of the late Harry and Irene Jackson.

A graduate of Milford High School he entered the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was honorably discharged in 1966 and awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the Parachute Medal.

An area resident for many years, he previously resided in Connecticut .

Mr. Jackson was a former employee of IBM, he owned and operated Jackson ’s Pub in the village of Saugerties on Partition Street for many years. After selling his pub, he partnered with Bobby Eschmann in the plumbing and heating business. He later was employed with Cliff Tienken Plumbing and Heating and P.J. Plumbing, both of Saugerties. He also worked with “Romancing the Woods” on Route 212 in Saugerties.

During his days as the owner of “ Jackson 's Pub,” he ran numerous benefits for locals in need in his establishment.

He was a member of the Saugerties American Legion Post #72, the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #2574 and was a former player in the Saugerties Athletic Association Softball League.

Mr. Jackson enjoyed shad and herring fishing on the Hudson River and was known as “Captain Seaweed.” He was a member of the “Jackson Boat Association” and the “Lynch Marina Mob,” both in Saugerties.

Survivors include his wife, the former Beatrice “Bea” Meyers; four sons, Todd of Milford, Conn., Eric of Wilton, Saratoga County , Jason of Saugerties and Frederick Jackson of West Camp; two daughters, Tracy Creller of Madison , Conn. and Jessica Jackson of Kingston ; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., corner of John and Lafayette streets, Saugerties.

Catskill - Elizabeth Lazar Posser, 73, of Catskill, died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston following a long illness.

Born May 31, 1933 in Manhattan , she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Bardar Lazar.

Ms. Posser graduated from high school and was employed as a secretary with New York state Bureau of Equalization and Assessment in Albany .

She was always proud to have been the third woman to walk onto the floor of the New York Stock Exchange when that was first allowed in the early 1950s.

Survivors include two daughters, Allison Posser of Catskill, with whom she resided, and Elizabeth Lamoraux of Delaware ; two sons, Howard Posser of Elmont, Long Island, and Douglas Posser of Florida ; a sister Mary Lazar Eckert; two granddaughters, Rochelle Posser of Florida and Nora Sanson of Maryland ; and three nephews.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home at 139 Jefferson Heights in Catskill.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Catskill with the Rev. Jeremiah Nunan, pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Cairo, officiating.

Private cremation will be conducted following the Mass at the Albany Rural Crematorium.

Windham - Sally Timmons, 91, of Windham , died Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Robinson Terrace Nursing Home in Stamford , Delaware County.

Born Feb. 16, 1916 in South Ozone Park , Queens County , she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Annie Doyle Timmons.

She moved to Windham in 1984 to live with her sister, Maggie, who predeceased her. Mrs. Timmons originally worked as a hairdresser and then for Chase Manhattan Bank in the International Banking Department in New York City .

She was a member of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church and a longtime member of the ladies guild.

She also enjoyed traveling when she was able.

Survivors include by two nephews, Chris Landers and Brian Timmons; two nieces, Nancy Boehm and Pat Smith; and many grandnieces and nephews.

In addition to her sister, she was predeceased by two brothers, Nick and Andy Timmons.

Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Decker Funeral Home, Windham .

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. James Schiffer officiating.

Interment will be at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Ashland at the convenience of the family.

Guilderland – Elizabeth Marie Young Boone, 86, died Sunday, April 8, 2007, at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland, surrounded by her children.

Born Dec. 15, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Charley, a famous sports writer for the Knickerbocker News, and Margarite Peg Young.

She graduated from Vincentian Institute in 1938 and Mildred Elley Secretarial School .

Mrs. Boone was briefly employed at Capitol Forestry where she met her husband, Charles Boone, who predeceased her in 2000.

A resident of Delmar, she was a member of St. Thomas Parish and the Altar Rosary Society.

After moving to Westerlo, she joined St. John the Baptist church in Greenville where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and a Eucharistic Minister.

Mrs. Boone also participated in the local Meals on Wheels, the Westerlo Volunteer Fireman's Ladies Auxiliary and the New York state Beef Cattlewomen's Association.

Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Lynne Boone of Clifton Park, Donald and Barbara Boone of Maryland, James and Susan Boone of Fayetteville, John and Chris Boone of New York City and Joseph and Taffey Boone of Westerlo; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carole and Victor Ballato of Delmar, Theresa and Patrick Boyle of New Hampshire and Mary and John Querques of Duanesburg; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Joan Boone of Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister-in-law, Ethel Woods of Palo Alto, Calf.; 25 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; two nephews; and three nieces.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her infant daughter, Martha.

Cairo - Joseph Peter Errante, 64, of Cairo , died Sunday, April 8, 2007, after a struggle with multiple myeloma cancer.

Born May 12, 1942 in Brooklyn , he was the son of the la e Dr. Santi P. Errante and Annette Errante.

He attended Grover Cleveland High School until moving to Cairo with his parents and sister, Mary Lou Eisenhardt.

He graduated from Cairo Central High School in 1960 and later from Ithaca University with a degree in social studies education.

Mr. Errante taught high school in Windham and Catskill, and was active at his family resort until his recent illness.

He had been active in his community as a past volunteer fireman, founding member of the Cairo Rotary and other organizations including the Greene County Resort and Hospitality Association.

Calling hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Richards Funeral Home, Bross Street , Cairo .

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Knock Shrine in East Durham .

Greenville - Ronald  J. Lee, 59, of Medusa died on April 5, 2007 while fishing in the Town of Conesville .

He was born in Conesville on June 4, 1947 son of the late Frank and Dorothy ( Cleveland ) Lee.

Ron was a retired employee of 35 years of the Albany County Highway Department. An avid outdoors man he enjoyed hunting, fishing, “four wheeling” and attending car shows. Was known to help anyone in need and will be missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are a son Frank Lee (Mui Ho), a daughter Sara Harper two grandchildren, Chloe Lee and Kiley Harper, three brothers, David Lee Sr., Charles Lee Sr., Harold Lee Sr. and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother Ernest Lee Sr. and a sister Ella Strother.

Funeral service will be Friday, 8 p.m. at the Cunningham Funeral Home, Greenville .

Cremation will be at the Albany Rural Cemetery with interment in the Manorkill Cemetery .

Charleston , S.C. - Ada Mancuso, 88, of Charleston , SC , formerly of Coxsackie and Georgia, died April 8, 2007 in Charleston with her family by her side.  

Born Sept. 21, 1918 in New York City , she was the daughter of Celeste and John Moirano.  

She enjoyed knitting, traveling and volunteering at the former Greene County Memorial Hospital , the school libraries in New York City and the lighthouse on St. Simon’s Island in Georgia .  

Ada was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Coxsackie.  

She was devoted to her husband and family.  

She is survived by her four children, Judith (Paul) Carpenter, Sandra (Michael) Grosso, Ralph Mancuso and Margaret (Hugh) Quigley; grandchildren, Paul and Matthew Carpenter, Nicole Carpenter Miller, Celeste Grosso Nathan, Michael and Vincent Grosso, Judy Grosso Sickles, Wakon, Dylan and Mackenzie Mancuso, Meghan Quigley Toner and Daniel Quigley; and 14 great-grandchildren.  

She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Ralph Mancuso.  

Future arrangements will be made for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s.

Athens - Mary Helen Cook, 81, of the Village of Athens , died on Feb. 4, 2007, at the Albany Medical Center Hospital , Albany , N.Y.

Born in Hudson , N.Y. Oct. 23, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Leon and Julia (Yaratz) Zilnik.

She attended Hudson High School and worked for Kadin Brothers Pocketbook Factory. Mary was married to Walter R. Cook at Zion Lutheran Church , Athens , on June 18, 1944. Together they raised two children, Mrs. Carlos (Patricia Ann) Vieira of New Bedford, Mass. and Mrs. Joe (Lisa Mary) Brady of San Angelo, Texas. Walter and Mary were very active in the work of Zion Lutheran. Mary served on the Altar Guild, was a Sunday School teacher, member of the Lutheran Church Women (LCW) and until recently served as the sexton.

In addition to her two daughters, Mary is survived by her grandchildren: Mrs. Joshua (Christina Mary) Amaral of New Bedford, Mass.; Joseph Daniel Brady and Ashley Lynn Brady of San Angelo, Texas; her great-grandchildren: Joshua Antonio Amaral Jr. and Jeremy Carlos Amaral. She is survived by her sisters Helen Matson of West Coxsackie, Margaret Laidlaw of Jamestown , N.Y. and Jennie Dinardi of Hudson , also one brother Raymond Zilnik of Mesa , Arizona .

She was predeceased by her sister Grace Zilnik. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held April 15, 2007 at 3 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church , 102 North Washington St. , Athens .

Rev. Bruce Benander will officiate. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

There will be no calling hours.

Memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Window Fund.

In accordance with Mary's wishes, she was cremated and ill be interred with her beloved Walter at Old Atben Rural Cemetery following the memorial service.

Greenville – Helen Hulbert, 79, of Oak Hill died on April 10, 2007.  

She was born in Oak Hill on July 7, 1927, daughter of the late William and Mae (Lounsbury) Kellam Cook.  

Helen lived in Oak Hill for most of her life. She was a graduate of Hartwick College of Nursing. She served in the Nurses Corps of the Department of War, post World War II. She retired as night shift registered nursing supervisor of the Greene County Memorial Hospital in Catskill.  

Helen was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, sopping, and traveling with her good friend April Rivenberg, and was the #1 Yankee fan.  

Helen is survived by four sons, Richard (Colleen) Hulbert, Mark (Beth) Hulbert, Bradley (Shirley) Hulbert with whom she resided, Sean (Melissa) Hulbert; two daughters, Cathy Hulbert and Cheryl (Ed) Cox; 10 grandchildren,  Ian (Jocelyn ) Hulbert, Erin Hulbert, Michael Lee and Michelle (Adam) Hunt, Robert Hulbert, Roxanne Hulbert, Alec Hulbert, Hope Hulbert, Amanda Hulbert and Rachel Hulbert; two great-grandchildren, Miles Hulbert and Brendon Massa, a good friend Larry Smith and her brother Eugene Kellam.  

Helen was predeceased by her husband Llewellyn “Bud” Hulbert.  

A graveside service will be held on May 5 at 11 a.m. at the Oak Hill Cemetery.

Greenville – Thomas G. Lynch, 86, of LaGrange , Ga. (formerly of Cornwallville), died on April 10, 2007 in the West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.

He was born in Jersey City , NJ on March 7, 1921, son of the late George T. and Mary E. (Osterman) Lynch.

After graduating high school in New Jersey, Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II and in Korea as a fire controlman first class, and took part in the 1946 Bikini Bomb Experiment. Tom was also proud that in 1951 he had an audience with the Pope in Rome .

Tom and his wife Mary raised their family in the Riverdale, NJ area.

He was a master electrician for 40 years. In 1983, they moved to Cornwallville. He became a locksmith after moving to his retirement home.

Tom belonged to several senior citizen organizations including the AOH, Greenville-Irish American Club, VFW TriTown Memorial Post 1416 and Our Lady of Knock Council Knights of Columbus.

In 2003, after the death of his beloved wife, Tom moved to LaGrange , Ga. , to be near family.

Surviving are two daughters, Maureen Struble and her husband Jack of LaGrange, Ga. and Eileen Lynch of San Diego, Calif.; two grandchildren Michelle Van Lenten of San Diego, Calif. and Kelly Amsen of Debary, Fla.; four brothers, James Lynch of Bayville, N.J., Timothy Lynch of Anaheim, Calif., William Lynch of Thorton, Colo., and Peter Lynch of Ft. Reading, N,J.

Tom was predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary E. (English) Lynch; a son Brian Lynch; a twin brother, John Lynch; and brother George Lynch.

Friends may call at the Cunningham Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m.

Walter was born Sept. 15, 1918 in New York City . He was loved by all who knew him. His humor will be missed but held close in memories.  

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Hudson .  

Interment followed in Cavalry Cemetery , Queens .

Athens - Ruth J. (Parker) Coffin, 93, formerly of Athens , N.Y. , died on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at the Wingate Health Care Facility in Andover , Mass.  

Born on Aug. 23, 1913 in Adams, she was the daughter of the late Carlton and Jennie (Spencer) Parker.  

She graduated from Belleville High School and then continued her education and received her licensed practical nursing degree in Albany .  

On July 3, 1936, she married David W. Coffin in Adams , N.Y.   He died in 1986, just prior to their 50th wedding anniversary.  

Before her marriage, Mrs. Coffin was an LPN for several private patients in the Albany area.  She also helped her husband run a fruit farm and turkey farm in Athens .  

From 1998 until November 2002, Mrs. Coffin resided at Adirondack Manor in Queensbury and has resided in Andover , Mass. since then.  

She was a member of the Baptist-Methodist Federated Church in Athens , where she was very active.  

Mrs. Coffin also enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, sewing and reading.  

Survivors include her three daughters, Janet E. Dean and her husband Jerry, of Queensbury, Catherine M. Williams and her husband, David of Andover, Mass. and Norma A. Coxsackie – Nicholas J. Desco, 53, of Coxsackie, formerly of Catskill and Pennsylvania , died at his residence on Wednesday, April 11 following a brief illness.

Nick was born in Catskill on September 15, 1953 to the late Nicholas and Josephine Ford Desco.

He had been employed by Altington Manufacturing in Carbondale , Pa. , and most recently at Price Chopper in Catskill and Dynlabil in Coxsackie.

He is survived by two aunts, Mrs. Harry (Lucille Desco) Bruck of Kingston and Mrs. Mary Desco of Catskill; a niece, Brenda Vandemark of Catskill as well as many cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Nicholas J. Desco in 1985; his mother, Josephine Desco in 1991; and his sister, Sandra Desco Vandemark in 1997.

Private cremation was conducted at the Albany Rural Crematorium under the direction of the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home at 139 Jefferson Heights in Catskill.

Catskill - Daniel Rocco Frangione Jr., 65, of Selkirk, died Wednesday, April 11 at Columbia Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since Monday.

Mr. Frangione was born in Stamford , Conn. on June 19, 1941 to the late Daniel R. Frangione Sr. and Rita Chirillo Frangione.  He attended Clonnan Junior High School in Stamford and worked for the city highway department as a truck driver for many years as well as a service station attendant and machine operator at Multi-phase in Stamford. His last job was for seven years as a truck driver and landscaper at Spring Hill Cemetery in Norwalk . Conn. until he became ill.  Dan loved working on cars, horseracing, motorcycles and playing cards.

He is survived by his sister Darlene Boudreau and her life partner Trudy Moore of Coxsackie and two nephews: Mark Boudreau of Greenville and Daniel Boudreau of Stamford . Conn.

He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Rita Frangione.

Private cremation was conducted at the Albany Rural Crematorium under the direction of the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home at 139 Jefferson Heights in Catskill.

Because of his love for children, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place in Memphis , Tenn. 38105-1942 .

Tannersville – Virginia M. Groff, 73, died Wednesday at her home in Elka Park after a long illness.  

Born on December 13, 1933 in Maplecrest, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marie Newcomb.  

Mrs. Groff was employed by the U. S. Postal Service for 30 years before retiring as the postmaster of the Elka Park post office.  

Mrs. Groff was the president of the Platte Clove Neighborhood Watch.  

Survivors included her husband of 54 years, Charles “Chuck” Groff; three daughters, Marvina Parrotte of Catskill, Tommy Vanucchi of East Jewett and Chandi Groff of Elka Park; two sons, Frank Groff of Tannersville and David Groff of Elka Park; 18 grandchildren, Monica, Danny, Brian, Karen, Josh, Henry, Kiera, Melanie, Frank, David, Erica, Randy, Caden, Tawny, Tara Lee, Taylor, Betsy and Rikki; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, one brother; several nieces and nephews; and several cousins.  

Mrs. Groff was predeceased by a son, Charles “Rusty” Groff.  

Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, April 14 at the Aston-Basagic Funeral Home, 7742 Main Street, Hunter.  

A prayer service will be conducted at 8 p.m. on Saturday evening.

Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Tannersville in the spring.

Catskill - Ruth Crooks Hobbs, 88, of Catskill, formerly of Kingston , died April 2 at Kaaterskill Care Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she had been a patient since Dec. 18, 2003.

She was born in Elyria , Ohio on Jan. 11, 1919 to the late Earl and Emma Uhle Crooks. She graduated from the Elmira Free Academy and earned a bachelors degree from Elmira College . She was a past-president and member of the Binghamton Junior League, member of the Kingston Junior League, past-president and board member of the Kingston ’s Children Home, and a member of the Kingston Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, William H. Hobbs of Catskill; two daughters, Deborah Kelly of Kingston and Susan Lawson of Connecticut ; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters and her husband, William Hobbs in 1986.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14 at 2 p.m. in the Remembrance Chapel of the Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home, 139 Jefferson Heights, Catskill, with the Rev. Diana Freeman, rector of St. Luke's Episcopal Church officiating.  Private interment will be conducted at the Hurley Cemetery . Albany - Edward “Buddy” Reinold, 84, of Windham , NY , formerly of the Bronx, died on Thursday April 12, 2007 with his family surrounding him in love and prayers at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany , NY .

He was born in Queens , NY on May 29, 1922 to Harold C. Reinold and Margaret (Nee McGlynn) Reinold.

He was a decorated WW II Army airforce veteran and served in the European theater as a staff sergeant and top turret gunner on B-24 bombers.

He worked for the City of New York Housing Authority , Local 237, as an elevator mechanic for 35 years, retiring in 1988.

After the passing of his wife Frances (Nee Heron) in 1991 he moved to Staten Island to live with his daughter Margaret, son-in-law John Gulino and two grandsons, Daniel and Edward Gulino.  He again moved with them to Windham , NY in 1996 and stayed with them until his death.

He was pre-deceased by his wife Frances (Heron) Reinold, parents and brother Harold.

He is survived by his daughter Margaret and son-in-law John Gulino; two brothers, George and John Reinold; sister, Margaret Davis; sister-in-law Helen Garcia: two grandsons, Daniel and Edward Gulino; and many niece and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at Decker Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Windham, NY on Sunday, April 15, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday April 16, 2007 at 9 a.m. at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus R.C. Church in Windham with the Rev. James Schiffer presiding.

Interment is to follow at the Moravian Cemetery , Staten Island , NY .

She was born in Brooklyn , NY on Jan. 3, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Albert and Helen (Maloney) Alwill.  

She has been an area resident since 1983. She loved to play bingo and to travel. She was devoted to her grandchildren.  

She was a member of the Cairo-Durham Ladies Elks. This organization will hold services in her memory on Sunday evening at 7 p.m. at Richards Funeral Home.  

She is survived by three sons, Frank Cisler and his wife Barbara of L.I., Edward Cisler and his wife Maria of Nebraska and Thomas Cisler an his wife Sherrie of Round Top; two daughters, Mrs. Peter (Jean) Romph of L.I. and Mrs. Michael (Deborah) O’Brien of Catskill; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  

She wass predeceased by her husband Frank J. Cisler who passed on March 14, 2001.

He has been an area resident for the last 25 years and loved hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his dear companion of 17 years, Esther M. Ballou of Cairo ; a daughter, Dawn Rivera of Cairo ; four brothers, Robert of Patterson, NY, Walter and Herbert of Earlton and Donald of Rome, NY; 13 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by a brother Frank.

Tannersville - Thomas L. Yager, 59, died on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at the Columbia Memorial Hospital after a long illness and surrounded by his family.

Born on May 29, 1947 in Tannersville, he was the son of the late Charles and Clementine Yager.

Thomas was baptized on Aug. 31, 1947 in the Saint John's Church in Tannersville.

Mr. Yager served in the U.S. Navy from October, 1966 to July, 1972. He was employed as a carpenter with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters for 28 years, recently with local #19.

He was a member of the Haines Falls Fire Company and the Bunt Brewer Post #165.

Thomas was married on March 23, 1991 to Hope M. Angle Yager in Tannersville.  He was a devoted father to his son and two daughters.

Survivors include his wife, Hope M. Angle Yager; son, Kevin Thomas; two daughters, Crystal Lee and Kaylee Marie; one godchild, Melissa Feml; three brothers, Donald of Elka Park,  Frank of Tannersville and Charles of Haines Falls; two sisters, Betty Garrison of Tannersville and Beverly Feml of Haines Falls. He also had several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 2 – 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 15 and Monday, April 16 at the Aston-Basagic Funeral Home in Hunter.

Services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 17 at 11 a.m. in the Kaaterskill United Methodist Church in Tannersville with Rev. Karen Monk officiating.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Tannersville.

Glasco - Richard E. Ferraro, 51, of Glasco Turnpike, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla .  

Born April 24, 1955, in Kingston , he was the son of the late Michael and Carmel Collelouri Ferraro.  

A graduate of Saugerties High School Class of 1973, he was the founder and former owner of Awesome Audio in Saugerties from 1984 to 1988.  

He was currently the proprietor of Rich Farms in Glasco. He was a former employee of the New York State Lottery Department and United Parcel Service..

A devoted family man, he played the saxophone in the early 1970s in the band Viva.  

He provided sound and equipment for Marist, Vassar and Bard colleges. He designed sound and lighting for the Carnival Cruise Lines.  

He was a benefactor of the Saugerties Lions Club, the Glasco Fire Department and the Make a Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley .  

He was predeceased by his wife, the former Carol Chick, in 1996.  

Survivors include a son, Michael J. Ferraro; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  

His funeral service will held at noon on Monday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., corner of John and Lafayette streets, Saugerties, with the Rev. Monsignor Charles Zannotti officiating.  

Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Barclay Heights .

She was predeceased by her first husband, Francis Gallardo; and several aunts and uncles.

He enjoyed reading, theater, film and yarn spinning.  

Manny was predeceased by his aunt and uncle who raised him, Charles and Stella Pittas.  

He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. (Bone) Cominos of Catskill; brother, George Cominos of Greece; cousins, Alke Pittas of Leeds and George Pittas of Catskill; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Martin Williams, in 1980, and two brothers Wayne and Vaughn Albert.

Westerlo – Caitlin Justice Henry, 15, of 869 Route 143, Westerlo , N.Y. , died April 16, 2007, after a tragic accident while canoeing.  

She was born Sept. 9, 1991, in Concord , N.H. , and was the daughter of Jay M. and Jeanette J. (Esperon) Henry of Westerlo.  

Mass of the Resurrection will take place Saturday, April 21, 2007, at the St. Joseph 's Novitiate Church , Round Top, N.Y. at 10 a.m.  

Interment will follow in the family plot of the St. Joseph 's Novitiate Cemetery , Round Top, N.Y.  

At the time of her death, she was a student in the 10th grade and attended the Grapeville Christian School .  She was a member of the Sadality of St. Joseph’s Convent.  

She loved to play the piano, volleyball and loved to write poetry and was devoted to the Blessed Virgin.  

Besides her parents, she is survived by four brothers Patrick, Brendan, Bobby and John and also survived by four sisters Maria, Brigid, Theresa and Isabella.  

Also survived by her maternal grandmother Helene Potthoff and step-grandfather Thomas Potthoff of Florida .  Also survived by her maternal grandfather John Esperon of Florida and paternal grandmother Kay L. Henry of New Hampshire .

She was born April 16, 1917 to the late Otto and Hedwig Klein Reichelt in Clifton , NJ .

She was the owner of the former Sky Meadows Boarding House for over 40 years in Spruceton , NY .

She attended the Kaaterskill United Methodist Church in Tannersville for several years and was a member of the Home Bureau Club of New York State.

Survivors include one son, Robert Jauch and his wife Barbara of Bloomfield, NY; one daughter, Fritzie Martin and her husband Ludwig Schmidt of Hunter; a sister, Clara Jones of Anchorage , Alaska ; four grandchildren, Kristina Martin, Kirsten Martin, Matthew Jauch and Michael Jauch; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband Fritz Jauch in 1986.

A memorial service will be held on May 19 at 11 a.m. at the Aston-Basagic Funeral Home, 7742 Main Street , Hunter, NY. Officiating will be the Rev. Karen Monk.

Palenville – Dorothy T. O’Boye, 71, of Bogart Road , died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at Albany Medical Center .  

Born July 20, 1935 in Flushing, Queens County , she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Blanc Brosnan.  

An area resident since 1978, she previously resided in Whitestone-Queens where she was employed at Con Edison of New York.  

Upon relocating to Palenville, Mrs. O’Boye and her late husband, James P. O’Boye Sr., owned and operated O’Boyes Irish House for 21 years.  

She was a longtime sponsor of Women's and Men’s Softball in the Catskill League and O’Boye’s Tavern in the Saugerties Dartball League.  

She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Palenville.  

Survivors include one son, James Patrick O’Boye Jr. of Palenville; two daughters, Janet O’Boye Hockeson of Palenville and Geraldine Brady of Saugerties; a brother, Robert Brosnan of New York City ; eight grandchildren, Brady and Shannon Hockeson, Kelly  Vosburgh, Kristy Craven, Patrick John O’Boye, Deborah, Christopher and Teresa Brady; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, John “Jack” Brosnan. Calling hours were held Sunday.  

A funeral procession will form 9:15 a.m. today at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., corner of John and Lafayette streets, thence to Sacred Heart Church where a 10 a.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.  

Interment will follow in the Blue Mountain Cemetery in Saugerties.

South Cairo - Charles George Bushnell Jr., age 76 years, of Route 23B, South Cairo , died April 22, 2007 at his residence, after a long illness.  

Mr. Bushnell was born in Stamford on Aug. 20, 1930 and was the son of the late Charles G. Bushnell Sr. and Olive Little Bushnell.  

He has been an area resident for over 40 years.  He served in the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Navy.  

He was a professional truck driver all of his life and was employed by the Tuscan Trucking Company.  He also was seen many times at Father and Sons.  

He was a member of the Cairo-Durham Elks and the American Legion.  At one time he was employed by the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.  

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Shirley M. (Doney) Bushnell of South Cairo; a daughter, Susan Bushnell; three stepdaughters, Linda Magana of South Durham, Cynthia Abrahamsen of Gayhead, Tammy Frascello of Florida; a stepson, James Toranto of Athens; an aunt, Martha Bushnell of Fleischmans; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Robert Bushnell.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours at the Richards funeral Home, 29 Bross Street , Cairo , on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.

Graveside services will take place Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Catskill Town Cemetery , Catskill with full military honors.

Sauquoit – Rodney Jones Jr., 40, of 9630 Pinnacle Rd. , Sauquoit, died on April 22, 2007 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.  

He was born in Utica , a son of Rodney and Charleen Borayi Jones and received his education in Springfield Center schools, graduating with the Class of 1986.  In 1996, Rodney and Lisa DeRocco were married in Springfield Center .  

Immediately following graduation, Rod began work as a mechanic for Pepsi in Syracuse and for the past 12 years worked as a truck driver for H.P. Hood.  

Rodney is survived by his beloved wife of 11 years, Lisa, two daughters; Toni Jones, of  Central Square and Cassandra Jones, at home, two sons; Nicholas Jones and Zachary Jones, both at home, his parents, Rodney and Charleen Jones, of Springfield Center, one sister and brother in law; Patricia and William Christman, of Mayfield, N.Y., two brothers and sisters in law; Timothy and Karina Jones and Keith and Christine Jones, all of Catskill, his cherished nieces and nephews; William Christman Jr., Susan Chrisman, Teresa Christman, Crystal Jones, Victoria Jones, Mark Jones, Adrianna Jones, Alicia Jones, Alison Jones and Taressa Bauer, his mother in law; Linda Alamond, of New Hartford, his father in law; Ralph DeRocco, of Waverly, his two sisters in law; Melissa and Joseph Jones, of  Raleigh, N.C. and Trina Bauer of Sauquoit.  

Rod was also blessed with many special friends; Gordon and Katie King, John and Robin Irving, Dave and Donna Midura and all of his coworkers at H.P. Hood.  

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, 3022 Oneida St. , Sauquoit with Pastor Ron Fralick officiating.    

Calling hours will be today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Saugerties - Alice P. Rusconi, 94, of Hommelville Road , Saugerties, died Sunday, April 22, 2007 at her residence.  

Born March 5, 1913 in Rockaway, Queens , N.Y. , she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Sadie Rusconi.  

She was a veteran of World War n where she served in the U.S. Army and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the WAAC Service Ribbon.  An area resident for many years she was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Centerville, the Altar Rosary Society of the church, the oldest surviving member of the Harris-Smith American Legion Post 324 of Tivoli and a member of the Cedar Grove Fire Co. Auxiliary.  

She is predeceased by her husband, Louis P. Rusconi, in 1989.  

Survivors include two sons: John P. of Tivoli and Jeremiah P. Rusconi of Hudson , N.Y.

She was the mother in law of Connie. Grandmother of Michael, Matthew and Tiffany Griffin .  Great-grandmother of Arianna Griffin. Several nieces and nephews also survive.  

Her funeral procession will form 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., corner of John and Lafayette Streets, thence to St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church where at 10 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered.

Catskill – Edward James Nangle, 49, of 60 Division Street , Catskill, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson .  

Born Oct. 7, 1957 in Catskill, he was the son of the late Edward and Rose (Dejoy) Nangle.  

Edward attended Catskill Central Schools and was a 1976 graduate of Catskill High School .  

He was most employed for many years as a carpenter and recently employed at Brockway-Smith in Coxsackie.  

He is survived by his wife, Bernadette K. (Rohr) Nangle of Catskill; children, Krystal S. (Nangle) Rohr and Corey J. Nangle, both of Catskill; brothers, John J. Nangle of Poestenkill and William Nangle of Florida; sisters, Frances Darling and husband David of Catskill, Rose Ann Nangle of Catskill, and Kathy Nangle of Florida; grandson, Ryan Tyler Burke of Catskill; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was born June 5, 1937 in Catskill and was the daughter of the late Donald H. and Gertrude (Naab) Mackey.  

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the NYS Department of Corrections at the Coxsackie Correctional Facility, Coxsackie.  

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah E. and Thomas F. Keenan of Delmar; one son, Charles J. Tobias, Jr. of Rockland, Mass.; two grandchildren, Kayleigh Tobias and Ashley Tobias-Sweatt; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Charles J. Tobias, Sr., who predeceased her on Oct. 5, 1978.

Catskill - Thomas J. Kralovich, Jr., 53, died suddenly in Maplecrest.

He was born Dec. 18, 1953 in Catskill, the son of Thomas 1. Kralovich Sr. and Josephine (DiStefano) Zwoboda of Catskill  

Thomas attended Catskill Central School and was a graduate of Catskill High School , class of 1971. He was a member of Catskill Boy Scout Troop 44. Tom later attended SUNY Delhi and Rochester Institute of Technology. Thomas owned an operated Windham Plumbing in Maplecrest.  

Tom was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He was a proud member of the Harley Davidson Million Mile Club. He enjoyed working on older motorcycles in particular. Thomas was recognized as a contributor for two books on antique motorcycle restoration and was a member of the Antique Motorcycle Association of America.  

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kralovich is also survived by his former spouse, Sherrie Kralovich of Tannersville; a son, Thomas J. Kralovich III of Maplecrest; a brother, Stephen Kralovich and wife Brenda of Acra; a step-father, Thomas Zwoboda of Catskill; a niece, Jennifer Kralovich; a nephew, Joseph Kralovich; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Coxsackie – Trooper David C. Brinkerhoff, 29, of Barrus Road , Coxsackie, died suddenly April 25, 2007, in the town of Middletown .  

He was born in Dunkirk , N.Y. , Aug. 29, 1977, and was the son of Karen and Robert Howard and Ruth and Roy Brinkerhoff of Buffalo , N.Y.  

Funeral services will take place Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at 11 a.m., at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church , 85 Elm Ave. , Delmar.  Pastor Mark Mueller will officiate the funeral service.  

Interment will follow in the family plot of the St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery , Coxsackie , N.Y.  

Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife Barbara A. (Rhodes) and baby daughter Isabella Grace Brinkerhoff of Coxsackie; two brothers, Michael and his wife Laurie, and Daniel and wife Molly, both of Buffalo .  

He is also survived by his mother in-law and father in-law, Mary Helen Rhodes and Benjamin and June Rhodes; and his brother and sister in-law Debbie and Kurt Moeckel.

He was a graduate of the University of Albany and received his master’s degree at Marist College in public administration.  

At the time of his death, he was assigned to Troop F Catskill, he trained as a trooper in Buffalo , N.Y. and was a member of the N.Y.S. Elite Mobile Response Team of the State Police. He also was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church . While attending the University at Albany , he was director of Medical Services at the campus. He enjoyed skiing and loved his German shepherds. He also loved playing the trombone while in school.

Lexington – Herbert Warren Falke, 84, of Lexington , died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at the Catskill Long Term Care Facility in Catskill.  

Born Feb. 28, 1923, he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Elsa M. Falke.  

A graduate of Farmingdale College , he moved to Lexington in 1942 and raised registered Holstein cows.  

In the 1970s, Herbert and his wife, Eula, started Falke's Greenhouse and was known for growing special tomatoes and wave petunias.  

While farming, Herbert was also in the construction business and instrumental in starting Falke’s Quarry.  

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Eula Falke; sons, Donald and John Falke; daughter-in-law, Donna Falke; brothers, Joseph and Arthur Falke; brother-in-law, Edward Harder; grandchildren, Lori Aherns, Larry Falke, Michael Falke and Susan Falke; and great- grandchildren, Michael and Kimberly Ahrens, Jennie Rielle and Jonathan Falke.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sons, Herbie and Richard Falke; and sister, Elsa Joan Harder.

Calling hours will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Decker Funeral Home in Wi ndham .

Funeral services will be Tuesday at the Catskill Christian Camp Church in Lexington .

His pallbearers will be Larry and Michael Falke, Eddie Ahrens, Scott Ronk, Floyd Dart and Jack Jordan.

Donations in Herbert’s name may be made to the Catskill Christian Camp in Lexington .

Greenville – Pauline E. “Polly” Cornell, 58, of Greenville , died April 28, 2007.  

She was raised in the military with her two brothers, Rick and Aubrey Nash, and two sisters, Martha and Dorothy Haase.  

She eventually settled in Greenville and married Michael J. Cornell.  

With her husband, she had three daughters, Wendy, Melissa and Krystal.  

Over the years she ran her own accounting business, drove a school bus for the Greenville Central School and was a very active member of the Greenville American Legion Post 291 Ladies Auxiliary.  

She is also survived by two sons in-law, Richard D. Bridges and Jerry W. Santucci; and three grandchildren, Amanda, Marcus and Corbin.  

Calling hours will be 4 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a service by the Greenville American Legion Post 291 Ladies Auxiliary and a funeral service with the Rev. Thomas Carney officiating.  

Interment will be 1 p.m. Friday in the Greenville Cemetery .
